It’s like Mississippi Burning, only instead of redneck Klan members (who were Democrats, let’s remember), we now have the “pro-woman” “choice” crowd pushing its agenda on a race Margaret Sanger herself was very eager to pare down.
For the sake of societal pruning and balance, you see.
Looks like it’s working — at least in Mississippi. 50 years hence.
If only the Klan had learned to frame their narrative as one of compassion and personal rights, they’d be sharing a stage today with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.
And were Robert Byrd alive today, you can be sure he’d be kicking himself for not trading in his Kleagle hood for a pink pro-choice ribbon early on, too.
Given how utterly dependent the Democrat Party has become on the black vote to win elections, you’d think they’d be demanding a constitutional amendment banning abortion.
Lucky for them that they have Mexicans to import, huh?
Les McCann and Eddie Harris thoughtful? Ha. Sure. This is exactly what they had in mind (if we can dignify their thinking apparatus with that name).
