The “SHUT UP” charge that PW shouldn’t comment on the gheys “all the time” deliberately ignores the core issue of the Duck Dynasty post. It isn’t whether or not someone watches the show or even disagrees with Robertson’s opinions, it is the scorched-earth policy of Liberal Fascists against any real or perceived deviation from their dogma.
Camilla Paglia gets it.
“To express yourself in a magazine in an interview — this is the level of punitive PC, utterly fascist, utterly Stalinist, OK, that my liberal colleagues in the Democratic Party and on college campuses have supported and promoted over the last several decades,” Paglia said. “This is the whole legacy of free speech 1960’s that have been lost by my own party.” […]
“I think that this intolerance by gay activists toward the full spectrum of human beliefs is a sign of immaturity, juvenility,” Paglia said. “This is not the mark of a true intellectual life. This is why there is no cultural life now in the U.S. Why nothing is of interest coming from the major media in terms of cultural criticism. Why the graduates of the Ivy League with their A, A, A+ grades are complete cultural illiterates, etc. is because they are not being educated in any way to give respect to opposing view points.”
“There is a dialogue going on human civilization, for heaven sakes. It’s not just this monologue coming from fanatics who have displaced the religious beliefs of their parents into a political movement,” she added. “And that is what happened to feminism, and that is what happened to gay activism, a fanaticism.”
Both gay and feminist movements were co-opted by Leftists long ago. The Grievance Industry is wholly owned by collectivists, who invent new victims and use groups in order to undermine and overturn America’s founding principles.
What we see in the Duck Dynasty kerfuffle to the use of the angry alphabet agencies of the Fed to punish the enemies of Democrats, is the installation and enforcement of not just policies, but of thought that will not question those policies.
Examples abound beyond the gheys. Not just headline grabbing issues, but issues from draconian housing policies to even how Leftists view money.
Federal housing expenditures favor higher-income households. The bulk of homeownership expenditures go to the top fifth of households by income, who typically could afford to purchase a home without subsidies.
Now, look at those words carefully — expenditures and subsidies. Those words, most reasonable people would agree, mean the direct spending of taxpayer money from the Federal government to homeowner or renter.
But the Left is far from reasonable. Look at their accompanying chart:
Leave aside a moment the pernicious idea that allowing people to keep a bit more of their own earnings is a “Federal expenditure”, but try and wrap your mind around the huge chunk of money the CBPP claims is wasted on the evil rich labeled “Imputed Rental Income.”
In other words, when you own your own home, you are not paying rent to someone else. Hence, that not-paying-rent is counted (by collectivists) as income to you and you’re damned lucky the Feds benevolently not tax you on it! Indeed, the whole rationale behind the “imputed income” phrase is that any thing you own or do for yourself (e.g. mowing your own lawn, cooking your own meals) is untaxed income to you.
We all belong to the government.
And if the government says we don’t like the way you voted, so it doesn’t count, why should any one labor under the delusion that our children, our money, our property or even our thoughts are safe?
BE KIND TO

– On topic. In the baclground of all of this I would submit the Lefturds lack the neccessary numbers to sustain this idiotic attack on ‘Merica.

The latest “ONOES TEH GHEYS INSULTED SOMEONE MUST DIE DIE DIE KILL KILL KILL!” Leftist-launched Twitter Two-Minute Hate:

How can what Justine said (as groan worthy as it was) an insult against gays? AIDS in Africa is a hetero problem.
A while back, I posted a quote from Confucius: “The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper name.” When you strip away the false labels in that article and the graph–tax exemptions are neither subsidies nor government expenditures–then their argument evaporates like ether on a hot engine block.
In my experience, calling things by their proper name, refusing to allow a leftist to use words the way Humpty Dumpty did, has been one of the most effective means to expose their bullshit for what it is. Thanks to Jeff for making PW a place that emphasizes this.
that wonderbag thing instapundit found looks really cool you could could a tasty chicken plus some root vegetables while you fuck either pussy or anus (your choice) in the bushes
perfect for those of us who like getting off the grid!
oh that is supposed to say you could *cook* a tasty chicken
I was watching the local government station, as you do, and a young woman, a state representative, I think, said, “We’re starting to notice some activity there we need to regulate it.” With urgency. Nothing so large as marijuana or guns, or online sales, I forget what, something insignificant and incipient. She noticed activity and her immediate impulse is the State MUST regulate it immediately. It came out of her like a psychological compulsion. It was weird. My impulse was to hit her. That’s weird too. It seemed in that moment she is the last person you want representing you, somebody seriously psychologically damaged, yet there she is.
I said something brillo pads right out of my own mind conversationally that had my interlocutor shut up momentarily. He is a business man, and an old one too. I overheard someone say he does one sales call a day, and the person has no idea how or why he gets on like that at 80 years old, but he does. Complaining to him about Amazon blocking Colorado from participating in their associate program I said, “The State insists on involving itself in any activity whatsoever, it is compulsive, there can be no Singapore tax free zone, none, they cannot leave anything along, not one single tiny thing, every farm fresh milk and eggs operation, every popsicle stand, and lemonade stand adventure the State will be partner, and not just silent partner in background, and not helpful partner either, no, they will be controlling partner with 10,000 other interests that supersede and run counter to yours, the partner that passes out the monopoly money to use, who is the banker, taxes its portion from you to add staff to regulate you. Who would willing enter such an unhappy marriage?
The momentary silence was gold.
War on Liberty tactics guide offered.
Yet it’s winter come, hence a grand time to make a fine french onion soup which requires a continuous input of heat to reduce the onions to a sugary glaze — so, bugger slow cooking bags and all.
i would like to make the soup of which you speak but we’re doing a potluck christmas thing monday so I have to make mom’s chicken spaghetti
which may mean going to target to get some presentable glass bakewares
i want to make the chipotle kind i like plus a milder one
today I’ll probably just but do the shopping plus take the toaster oven up to the office so it’s ready for heating up the spaghettis on monday
How odd is it that Pambasileias ClownDisaster’s bestest international buddy, closest friend, happy ally in his veiled Jew-hate, Tayyip Erdogan, is embroiled in a melt-down owing to deep government corruption?
Not so odd, it may be.
Since what we’re in the end talking about is the leftist tactic of intimidating their opponents into silence, I would tend to agree with you. But we’d have to put that to the test.
And the only way to do that is to talk about the things that we’re being told not to talk about because nobody is talking about them because it’s bad politics because when you talk about them you get thrown out of polite company and that why nobody’s talking about them for teh win.
Birds of a feather.
Baldilocks has a piece on “How Leftist Targeting Calculus Works ” which I’d like to take a bit further.
The end goal for the (so-called) progressive socialist left is to establish a totalitarian system of governance worldwide with them at the helm. Their support for other groups/movements is based on that organization’s own need for a tyranny to impose its beliefs on all others. Those groups who only wish for tyranny is some specific area are not as important as groups whose goals require a totalitarian system to be in place.
Feminists, radical gays, radical black/hispanic groups focus on only a specific area to have a tyranny imposed. Islam is different as it is also trying to impose a totalitarian system on the world.
Islam is a totalitarian political ideology which because it formed in the 8th-9th centuries donned the cloak of religion as a marketing strategy. Progressive-socialism is a religious cult which because it formed in the 18th-19th centuries donned a cloak of a political ideology as its marketing strategy.
Both are soul mates and will not generally attack each other until their common enemy, human freedom, is vanquished. Then they will either fight to the death or more likely merge to form one overall totalitarian system worldwide.
I guess that puts feminists and radial gays in the useful idiot category.
Thought as much.
. . . talk about the things that we’re being told not to talk about . . .
So should we attempt to sort out the origins of human erotic urges; why these attach to both heterosexual and homosexual behaviors; how the pleasant is and isn’t good, and therefore how the good is not the pleasant simply, but somehow otherwise; how hedonism, even in its most circumspect, prudent and moderated varieties falls short as a means to the end of human fulfillment; how we’re not even certain on our own terms how to speak of human fulfillment in public discourse, and such like as that?
Islam is a totalitarian political ideology . . .
On terminological grounds alone, that proposition is chock-a-block with bad ju-ju.
A totalizing system of governance then?
I don’t think it matters if it’s RAAAAACIST!, anti-TehGhey, or incredibly stupid. What matters is the end result…
The #WARonLIBERTY is now on steroids.
Sdferr, I was thinking more along these lines, to be honest.
“Then they will either fight to the death or more likely merge to form one overall totalitarian system worldwide.”
No, all the things the “progressives” are pushing are antithetical to the Muslims, and the latter would run roughshod over the former.
I’m not sure geoffb. Partly on account of the whole backwardness of the fundamentalist Islamics, i.e., I’m more or less inclined to take seriously their desire to pull mankind away from its modern scientific inclinations, which in turn means the metaphorical “death” of any totalizing possibility. The origin of Islam was in a world (as the world was known to them, which is to say, not so well) conquering empire, in more or less the same fashion as the Persians knew empire, or Alexander, or the Romans. But this then morphed into an anti-scientific theological stance. Totalitarianism just wasn’t born until after the invention of bureaucracy in France, then Germany, and after the birth of extensive specifically modern tools of communication and such like. Tools that Islam doesn’t seem capable of upholding, to say nothing of maintaining on its own.
And that is to say nothing of my objections to ideology as an overwrought concept in our discourse. . . so.
I was thinking more along these lines, to be honest.
Aren’t the questions I posed relevant to the context in which Robertson laid out his frisson? And if so, then I’d submit that as such, those questions would meet the criteria Jeff had in mind in his “embrace (eros!) the f-bomb” piece. And so would work to that end at least in part.
so that was a Republican what ordered the code red on justine
Buzzfeed is run by Republicans? I think not…
Sure. But first we have to overcome the problem Steyn noted:
Kinda like how Holder thinks we’re a nation of cowards because
America won’t admit it’s racissssswe can’t have a conversation about race.I have to overcome the problem Steyn noted. First. Before I do anything else. Leave my own thinking to the side for the moment, so to speak. Yes. Because my thinking isn’t necessarily going where it needs to go.
Ok, let me take that as my given.
But wait! Why am I to take Mark Steyn’s thoughts, which I had not seen until just now and even now do not have in full nor understand in full (no link!), as my given? But nevermind: so I take them.
Now, following the formula laid out by my betters, what am I to do?
I’d just like to remind ‘feets and all else here that the push to legalize SSM is a means, not an end.
The end being to marginalize and — wherever possible, coerce into submission — all who hold to a rival philosophy to Leftism and Statism.
“They won’t force you guys to perform SSMs.”
Can you guarantee that?
But even if there’s no de jure coercion to perform such ceremonies, all churches who refuse to honor such unions will (and are being) branded “Hate Organizations,” which means it’s open season on them and their members.
It may be illegal to fire me or refuse to hire me for being LDS, but that won’t stop the activists from making it extremely difficult to hold that line. The company that acquired us has its HQ in the Bay Area. Mormons and other Christians are now officially “beyond the pale,” and because Being A Bigot is the unforgivable sin anymore, all measures taken against “bigots” will be just and right.
Here’s the thing: you can accuse someone of bigotry and make it stick, regardless of what how that person actually thinks or acts. I could pull seven gay couples out of a burning building and still be a bigot because I don’t think men and women are fungible in marriage.
There’s no defense against the accusation of bigotry: the “validity” inheres in who is making the accusation and who it’s against. “No, I’m not,” however true the denial, carries no weight in such an atmosphere.
Just as all white folks “knew” that black men thought about nothing but raping white women all the live-long day—and there wasn’t a way in hell for the men to defend themselves against the accusation—today’s activists “know” that we religious folk are bigots, thereby giving them license for their style of lynching.
And that “lynching” is the purpose, not the result, of pushing SSM. They found a Rubicon we could not cross, and they’re using it to destroy their enemies.
They’ll come for you next, ‘feets. Happy talk about Teh Ghey and spitting on Christians won’t save you. As long as you’re against Teh Socialisms, you’re an enemy.
Hope you enjoy this America.
The Age of Intolerance
The forces of “tolerance” are intolerant of anything less than full-blown celebratory approval.
By Mark Steyn
Is Andrew Kaczynski a Republican?
I guess I react to these kinds of stories because of how it’s so quickly morphed from wanting to be recognized as a valid choice (just live & let live) to not fully endorsing = “hate,” and if you are a “hater” then you are an unperson who should be shunned from polite society (lose your job, etc.).
Am I the only one wondering where all of this will go next? Here’s just one recent example of where it cold go, and note that this isn’t some Muslim country://preview.tinyurl.com/kondbl4
Could never happen here, right? Never mind: http://preview.tinyurl.com/l28ek5e.
the Lefturds lack the neccessary numbers to sustain this idiotic attack on ‘Merica.
The outnumbered Americans defeated the British.
The minority whites rules South Africa.
They just need superior firepower and superior positions, such as the judiciary.
One man legalized SSM in Utah despite being horribly outnumbered.
Don’t rule out the power of a determined and well-positioned minority that is willing to fight dirtier than the majority.
Sorry about the link, I thought I remembered to include it.
And I was talking in terms of public discourse.
You or I are of course free here to talk about whatever we damn well please,
so long as Jeff suffers us to, that is.
So in that spirit: took the kids to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug yesterday. It was enjoyable, but Jackson and Company really strayed away from Tolkien.
I have discovered that I should be less pansified. Which in my case, as in Steyn’s, would not mean less enamored of American Musical comedy, as overagainst a more contemporary popular music (the which I studiously ignore — at my knowing peril, I hasten to add), but to be more manly, in a manly way. For now, I’ll interpret manliness as seeking to root down into the fundamental questions that Callicles would understand as — without a doubt — childish.
Of the 17 States where SSM is now the “law of the land”, 15 of them were written into the law through judicial fiat, and that pendulum does swing both ways…
The farther it is pushed in one direction, the farther back it will swing when it is finally released. And Daddy still won’t want you around.
Why bother having a legislative branch at all?
Why bother having a legislative branch at all?
Why indeed? What is the remedy to a renegade judiciary?
“When in the Course of Human Events…”
I was thinking more along the lines of brute force.
if Team R hadn’t insisted on passing an unconstitutional law like doma then the judiciary would be having a whole lot harder time coming to some of these decisions
Bill Clinton was behind DOMA, dummy.
Yeah, and all those Dems that voted against it… oh wait. It was “veto-proof majorities” in both chambers, and signed by the first black President, Bill Clinton.
85–14 in the Senate[24] and 342–67 in the House (the party division was 53-47 in the Senate and 228-206 in the House), so AT LEAST 2/3 of the Dems voted in favor, too.
Nothing like facts to make pikachus look stupid, are there? (Not that pikachus ever need much help, but they might want to get rid of all the H8 in their shrunken widdle hearts first…)
Our Pikachu has been in the eggnog again or so it seems.
All these crazy Republicans holding exactly the same position on the issue as Barack Obama did right up until Joey Hairplugs told him his mind had changed…
Crazy, ain’t it?
No, he’s like this pretty much all the time.
Yes he is. I was trying to be nice since it’s Christmastime and all.
passing an unconstitutional law
“Unconstitutional” by whose standard?
The Left’s. And they’re always right about what the Constitution does and does not mean, right ‘feets?
he doesn’t realize that he is supposed to take the anti-psychotics meds WITH the eggnog, rather than INSTEAD OF.
Prepositions can be so annoying…
And we all know how big the Dems are on obeying the Constitution…
If Team R decided to start impeaching judges, particularly lower court judges, who failed to demonstrate a proper sense of judicial restraint* the judiciary would also have a whole lot harder time coming to some of these decisions.
*restraint in this case meaning that judges restrain themselves by granting that the people, throught their representatives, do in fact know what they’re doing.
“They won’t force you guys to perform SSMs.
Can you guarantee that?”
Indeed. Already they can force you to bake a cake or take pictures (or close shop), so SSM is a chip shot.
I sure as hell wouldn’t want to eat any of the cake that a baker is forced to bake under judicial order.
“I have no idea why they all died suddenly, your honor. Must have been the hand of God showing His displeasure…”
nope DOMA was written by republicans and they wrote it and they introduced it into the house and senate and then they voted for it and Bill Clinton signed it and oops it was unconstitutional and now the opinion what rendered it unconstitutional is serving as helpful fodder for judiciaries looking for support for the proposition that same sex marriage should be allowed cause of something called the equal protection clause
and oops it was unconstitutional and
BY WHAT STANDARD?
something called the equal protection clause
Marriage laws say that marriage must include one man and one woman.
There is no test for heterosexuality, love, sanity, or anything else that addresses sexual orientation.
Equal protection does not obtain.
But logic and language never stop them, and you know it.
You’re next, ‘feets. Wave bye bye as we’re shipped off in cattle cars.
Who’s worse: Phil Robertson or Floyd Lee Corkins?
oops it was unconstitutional and now the opinion what rendered it unconstitutional is serving as helpful fodder for judiciaries looking for support for the proposition that same sex marriage should be allowed cause of something called the equal protection clause
How many Federal marriage licenses have ever been issued? Ever heard of the Tenth Amendment?
And it isn’t “equal treatment” when one group is allowed to do something that no other group can do. Is it a violation of “equal protection” when drug users get arrested? I mean, they are allowed to pursue happiness in their own way, right? Is it a violation of equal protection to try and stop serial killers from doing whatever they want, laws be damned? (I mean, just because religious people call murder a “sin” doesn’t make it wrong, right, pikachu?)
your cowardly fascist piece of shit debtwhore little country’s very very very last problem is same sex marriage
it’s on the list right after banning e-cigarettes and enumerating the permissible shapes into which you losers can bite your pop tarts
Feets today: “Oh dicentra, you’re so OVERWROUGHT! Just go drink some eggnog and have a Merry Christmas.”
Feets in a year: “You guys deserve everything the activists are meting out.”
country’s very very very last problem is same sex marriage
Translation: “They just need a piece of paper to prove their love. They’re not going to hurt you stupid christers anymore, now that they’ve got their way. The Statists don’t have the slightest intention of using SSM to destroy their enemies. They’re filled with love and compassion for Teh Ghey, unlike you godbotherers, so STFU and take what’s coming to you.”
happyfeet, I fully regret the time that I defended your sorry ass on this site.
You should go to your gay friends’ hotel room and be part of the threesome that you really want.
meted what out
some rich-ass anus-hating cable tv whore is shopping for a new tv deal
we should all be so fortunate
Here’s hoping that Jeff is on a beach in Tahiti, away from all WiFi, sipping the beverage of his choice, and building sand castles with his kids.
meted what out
Whatever they decide to mete out in the future. #temporalFAIL
If I’m required to pledge my fealty to SSM to keep my job someday? You gonna pay my mortgage? File an amicus brief on my behalf?
No, you’ll say I deserved it for being a biggoty biggot.
Marriage is the institution that began the drive for civilization, feets. Progressives cannot force people to turn to the government if there is a loving family to turn to instead, so the loving family has got to go!
Offer the wives the means to get away without any reason at all through no-fault divorces. Make sure they don’t have to actually get out and support themselves by forcing the father to support a family he no longer gets to see through alimony and welfare. Teach the kids that any sort of family is “just as good” as any other, science to the contrary notwithstanding, and encourage them to “hook up” with random classmates by offering condoms and abortions without having to bother notifying the parents (when the nurse can’t even give them an aspirin without permission). Show on TV and in movies how “cool” it is to hop from one bed to another, then gasp at the pandemic of STDs.
Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.
Those clouds on the horizon should be enough warning, and that low rumbling isn’t the sound of applause. But you are not only stupid, but foolish.
If this is such a “cowardly fascist piece of shit debtwhore little country”, we can expect you to go somewhere else, right? Any. Day. Now.
I’m not gonna pay your mortgage but I promise not to charge you a net imputed rental income tax
i am merciful
If I’m required to pledge my fealty to SSM to keep my job someday?
Like the DOJ mandated earlier? Like State Courts are doing now to a baker and a photographer, both independent artists?
“…some rich-ass anus-hating cable tv whore is shopping for a new tv deal…”
The tolerance and elevated discourse The Yellow Peril demonstrates here is a wonder to behold.
WHAT WILL YOU DO ON MY BEHALF, ‘FEETS?
WHAT WILL YOU DO FOR ME WHEN I BECOME AN UNPERSON?
Equal protection clause? You get all mad and hate-y when we haul that out ot defend the wee defenseless fetuses.
Why is it equal protection for grown ass homos, but not for tiny pre-born people?
what are my options
Like the DOJ mandated earlier? Like State Courts are doing now to a baker and a photographer, both independent artists?
And trying to force it on some churches near you.
Answer my question.
leigh i have no idea about no equal protection clause
I just know the DOMA decision’s invocation of it is being cited by judiciaries far and wee
the DOMA decision created a breach SSM legalization proponents have apparently been able to exploit somewhat effectively
it’s not my fault
I thought DOMA was a dumb idea to start with cause of I’m more of a states’ rights kinda pikachu
what are my options
Start with recognizing that the push for SSM is not about being fair to gays, it’s about destroying rival ideologies.
I thought DOMA was a dumb idea to start with cause of I’m more of a states’ rights kinda pikachu
Oh, so you supported that majority of the citizens of California voting to amend the State Constitution to define marriage? Or were they all H8Rs, what deserved to be overridden too?
I’m more of a states’ rights kinda pikachu
So when Utah said NO to SSM and a recent Obama nominee says “screw you,” that’s OK because christers need to stop obsessing about cornholes.
“recent Obama appointee.”
That’s what I meant.
SSM is for so gay people can get married and be able to leave each other their estates without your greedy piece of shit hyper-indebted whorestate taking a shitload of money
like how they did to those nice lesbians in new york
Why is it equal protection for grown ass homos, but not for tiny pre-born people?
And why is it that the people who are pro-baby murder (if it’s a choice, what do you think the baby would choose?) are so often against the death penalty for the worst criminals?
Killing innocent babies: SI
Killing multiple murderers: NO
“…SSM is for so gay people can get married and be able to leave each other their estates without your greedy piece of shit hyper-indebted whorestate taking a shitload of money…”
One can leave one’s estate to whomever (or whatever) one wants. It requires no marriage, and marriage does not protect from taxes.
The reason, BTW, for the “hyper-indebtedness” is because of policies fostered by liberals such as yourself.
SSM is for so gay people can get married
Gay people could get married before SSM came along, and a lot of them did. Argument FAIL
and be able to leave each other their estates without your greedy piece of shit hyper-indebted whorestate taking a shitload of money
Civil unions were offered, with all of the legal protections and benefits offered to married couples, but was refused in favor of erasing the definitions. Argument FAIL.
actually the Republican party platform has never once supported civil unions. Argument FAIL
Why is it equal protection for grown ass homos, but not for tiny pre-born people? – See more at: https://proteinwisdom.com/?p=52246#comments
Because you convince wee preborn babies to vote democrat.
The fact that the “Republican party platform” did or didn’t support civil unions is irrelevant to the fact that civil unions were offered.
Attempt to change the argument fail, as usual.
actually the Republican party platform has never once supported civil unions. Argument FAIL
Neither has it been supported by the Democrats until this last election. Argument FAIL.
Keep trying for that moral equivalency, pikachu, your flailings are almost cute in their frenzy.
Obama actually said explicitly that “marriage is between a man and a woman” in 2008, but we all know how Democrats lie as easily as they breathe…
Obama is a piece of shit fascist he lies about everything
No, happyfeet, it’s to stretch the definition of marriage so far that it becomes meaningless. And to destroy the ” ‘family values’ agenda that includes abstinence-only sex education, stringent divorce laws, coercive marriage promotion policies directed toward women on welfare, and attacks on reproductive freedom.”
Also, they don’t just want access to their spouse’s estate, they want “…access for all, regardless of marital or citizenship status, to vital government support programs including but not limited to health care, housing, Social Security and pension plans, disaster recovery assistance, unemployment insurance and welfare assistance.”
They took the time to think it through and write it down to avoid any confusion – take a look: http://beyondmarriage.org/index.html
yeah I don’t agree with any of that Mr. Libby
I still haven’t heard anything about why the parts of the definition of marriage about gender are so easily tossed aside, but not the ones about number of participants, age, existing marital status or species.
I mean, if it is no big deal that two men want to get married, why not three? Or four? Why shouldn’t a father be allowed to marry his daughter? Isn’t that what they both want? And who cares that he has a wife and family living somewhere else, it’s LOVE!
“A while back, I posted a quote from Confucius: “The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper name.”
I agree that precision and accuracy in language are important and that clarification is good. However Confucius was a sentinel of a Kingdom under Heaven and “proper” can go all sorts of Orwellian places to where it means the state should decide all meanings at its pleasure. I could agree that the Taoists sometimes need to be told to back off with their words do not communicate or educate sufficiently but a monarchs language is unlikely to be constructed to bring wisdom to peasants. and foreigners.
yeah I don’t agree with any of that Mr. Libby
Bullshit, pikachu, it is exactly what you are advocating. Just because you might not like some of the things they are doing, you’re just another useful idiot for the cause.
gay marriage is the future Mr. Drumwaster like methane hydrates and shelf-stable meat products
That Beyond Marriage statement came out in 2006. SSM was only the first step.
There can be no surprise or claims of unintended consequences when polygamy and other previously illegal marriage configurations are championed. It’s all of the same movement.
gay marriage is the future Mr. Drumwaster
Then let’s put it up for a vote by our elected representatives or by general plebiscite, and abide by the majority of society, shall we? “Law of the land”, right? Isn’t that what legislatures are for?
“gay marriage is the future Mr. Drumwaster…”
Perhaps, but communism was the future in Russia in 1917 and that didn’t work out well either.
you’re kind of a glass half-empty kinda guy aren’t ya Mr. Ausfahrt
No, I am a realist.
Link to me telling anyone to “shut up”?
Oh right: I didn’t do that.
“Trying to dictate the topic of note to the owners of a blog”
Link to me “trying to dictate” anything to anybody?
Oh, right: I didn’t do that either.
Since this alleged conversation has now reached the point of outright dishonesty, I’m out of here.
Enjoy.
gay marriage is the future Mr. Drumwaster like methane hydrates and shelf-stable meat products
– That may be the slope the former America is sliding down, but it will be useful and informative to watch how the “free-love gaggle” deals with the afterlife.
– Gonna be a really hard test of christianity in the “love thy brother” sense when the saved are asked about their positions on those awaiting salvation.
– Since no one really “knows” to a certainty what the truth is about life and death it seems sort of less than intelligent to assume a loser position. But, as they say, you pays your money and takes your choice,
– The yellow peril is thus in a position of bragging about taking a stupid totally uneccessary position. Unneccessary that is if you’re not hoping to curry favor with the “in power” group of the moment. In pther words totally cynical as well.
– I don’t think the Yellow-rat believes in anything but opportunity. Sounds very Progressive doesn’t it.
big gay are darwinian deniers
P.S. The last time I checked, neither DrumWaster, BBH, nor any of the rest of the ALL GAY, ALL THE TIME folks were “the owners of the blog”.
Gosh, he was a long time finding the door…
– No one was “dishonest bout your comments SBP. Call me a liar because you are getting your dipstick bent up your ass for your comments which can be retrieved in a heart beat gets a you a solid “fuck you”.
– I won’t defend the stupid.
You said I was “trying to dictate the topic to the owners of the blog”.
I didn’t do that. That makes you a liar, son.
Sorry.
P.S. The last time I checked, neither DrumWaster, BBH, nor any of the rest of the ALL GAY, ALL THE TIME folks were “the owners of the blog”.
– The last time I checked its been a whole lot of years since I posted an article to PW, so wtf are you talking about?
– Don’t “son” me you asshole, I’m old enough to be your father dispshit. You really need to put a cork in it for your own good.
Both gay and feminist movements were co-opted by Leftists long ago. The Grievance Industry is wholly owned by collectivists, who invent new victims and use groups in order to undermine and overturn America’s founding principles.
THIS.
When it is hard enough to fend off the Left as it is, why does SBP feel the need to start a circular firing squad?
– Don’t know Curmudgeon, but fuck all if he thinks he can do so without recourse.
– I mean just for starters who the hell died and made him arbiter of all thats discussable.
– Rejected, plain and simple.
The only circle involved in this particular firing squad in the one from SBP’s shoulder to just under his chin.
I’ll be sure to send his family a “get well” card.
But you know what I mean. The reason we are talking about teh gheys so much is because (1) they are almost always leftist and (2) they are pushing this commiecrat crap. That’s why.
They aren’t “lavender”; they are Pinkoes. Faded Reds.
‘ “Judge Robert J. Shelby, whom President Barack Obama appointed to the U.S. District Court in Utah last year, issued an opinion on Friday declaring that a right to same-sex marriage is “deeply rooted in the nation’s history and implicit in the concept of ordered liberty.” ‘
So deeply rooted that it was written into the Bill of Rights. This goes beyond judicial activism straight to making crap up.

– SBP’s position just underlines the title of Dars post. While its frustrating that the Left can drag us into these sorts of discussions which takes away from real problems, most of which are caused one way or another by the Progressives/Dems, thats not a reason to avoid the discourse.
>This goes beyond judicial activism straight to making crap up. <
roe v wade was his guide
>thats not a reason to avoid the discourse.<
this "war" has many fronts
such as here
Anti-Israel academic boycotters threaten legal action against opponents
can’t
I mean just for starters who the hell died and made him arbiter of all thats discussable.
But even more than that, I really don’t like seeing people who ought to be fighting the Socialist / Leftover Communist Left together engaging in petty internecine squabbles with each other. At the risk of antagonizing the blog proprietor, the Patrick Frey brouhaha comes to mind.
>engaging in petty internecine squabbles with each other. <
that's why glenn beck is getting together with hannity, levin maybe limbaugh this summer .
Bullshit. Civil unions accomplished that, but just weren’t enough. No, honest homos will tell you what it’s about…a means to another end.
Lesbian Activist’s Surprisingly Candid Speech: Gay Marriage Fight Is a ‘Lie’ to Destroy Marriage
the homo agenda is gay
SSM is for so gay people can get married and be able to leave each other their estates without your greedy piece of shit hyper-indebted whorestate taking a shitload of money
Homos are now exempted from estate taxes, too? That’s generally when the ” greedy piece of shit hyper-indebted whorestate taking a shitload of money”. Hell, it’s happened to us all who have inherited from loved ones or not-so loved ones.
I need to talk to my attorney if this is indeed the case since that smacks of special treatment, happy. Either that or you’re talking out your ass.
Either that or you’re talking out your ass.
SSM proponents lying their ass off to defend/advance The Cause? The hell you say!
Shocking, ain’t it?
That’s a whole ‘nother class of brouhaha, as I read it. Mr. Frey used courtroom tactics so vicious that an overseeing judge wouldve tossed him out for contempt. Without a minder-judge, Frey didn’t use even a bare minimum of self-control, and burned his bridges as he proceeded. General Sherman’s roll to the Atlantic comes to mind.
As it turns out, he finds himself entrenched with his own weight-class opponents, his yang, who are, by all accounts, wearing his ass like Kevin Jennings would a troop of Boy Scouts locked in a San Francisco bathhouse.
And no one is helping him. Imagine that,
Can I say this again?
Start with recognizing that the push for SSM is not about being fair to gays, it’s about destroying rival ideologies.
It’s never about what it’s about.
It’s always about control.
you don’t know what you’re talking about with respect to this issue Mr. serr8d I will have you know that in many of the particulars of this subject you’re simply wrong
please review the facts at your earliest convenience and see if you don’t come to some startlingly different conclusions
thank you for you consideration
– Tell you what Yellow-rat, its more likely, in fact absolutely likely that its you that doesn’t know whats being talked about because you already have drank the kool-aide. You sound exactly like the most devout of Lefties feet, exactly.
– Imagine that.
i have to go now cause of I have a previous engagement
Pikachu… who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor, who had nearly stood up to the Vicious Chicken of Bristol, and who had personally wet himself at the Battle of Badon Hill.
I could care less the fate of Mr. Frey. But whatever happens, he’s earned it by the spadeful. Of that I’m dead right; what goes around, &c.
My surmise, and I mean this politely and respectfully, is that SBP is one of those libertarian/libertarian minded classical liberals who just doesn’t particularly give a shit about the (q.v. “cultural issues.” So from his perspective, folks, like me (just to put a name with it) who care about those issues are the ones who starting the circular firing squad.
It’s a debate worth having, but it won’t be productive until we find a way to either rid ourselves of certain well-poisoners, or zealously ignore their many squirrels.
