New York state of mind?

There are those who believe that New Yorkers — who have routinely self-abused by keeping Michael Bloomberg around to lord over them like a scolding, stretched-skin midget king surrounded with the very firepower he denies his subjects — have a hankering, and that hankering is for rule by sexual deviants.

And both Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner seem ready to step in and fill that wet, hot, yearning void.

Which, how bad can it be?  After all, if we can call Mary Jo Kopechne’s U-boat commander the “Lion of the Senate,” his compromised older brother the King of Camelot, and treat an alleged rapist and serial philanderer like Bill Clinton as a sagacious statesman, why the hell not bring in a city comptroller who paid to have his heads polished and a rented-finger slipped into his ass, or a smarmy little hawk-faced shitstain who was fond of snapping digital pictures of his junk and sending the hirsute vine shots along to underage girls  (then repeatedly lying about it right to our faces) — all while his wife was helping Hillary Clinton, the spouse of the crusty Stainmaker, develop policy and gain access and influence toward and for the Muslim Brotherhood — as your new mayor?

I mean, shit, if New Jersey can give an alleged pedophile a Senate job despite stories that some of his out of country junkets were perhaps better termed junkettes, really, the idea of shame no longer holds much weight on the left.

The Kermit Gosnell Party has decided morality is defined by political consensus.  And that’s precisely the way they like it.

Just don’t you go calling them malignant narcissists.

  2. Blitz says:

Because that’s all they have? Conservatives are wasting their money to run in NYC, Cali, Illinois, here in Mass. Why bother?

  3. geoffb says:

As for those little people, disposable eggs for the progressive omelet.

I’ve been following that case for the last couple of years, geoff. No new breaks, I guess.

I’ve always taken their position to be:

“Of course Democratic politicians are a bunch of cheating, lying corrupt hypocrites. It’s what we expect them to be. You guys are the idiots who actually have standards for your politicians, so we’re going to make you live up to them.”

  6. BigBangHunter says:

    – Yes, when you have no standards its difficult to draw a bead on your transgressions, because they take on such a broad range.

    – Its yet another twist on the old radicals agitprop scam of making so many people party to a crime, no one is held guilty. Example: When enough Progressives are for killing babies, then it no longer seems like murder, or put another way, when 400 or 4000 people commit murder its a crime, when millions do it its a revolution.

Democrats are making even the Satanists queasy.

Still, Weiner and Spitzer are as good as elected.

It’s ‘cuz New Yorkers are waaaayyyy more hip than Satanists…

    – Along the lines of totally Hollywood fake-believe Obama-speak and media tweak, we have the YachtGate affair, illuminated in all its glory by the Mama Grisley herself, where she details “what the Duke of Ketchup was doing on his $7 million watercraft while Egypt exploded“.

    – Personally I hope they keep thinking of us as sheeples. Makes gathering arms that much easier.

    Greetings:

Having grown up in the Bronx of the ’50s and ’60s (which, parenthetically, is the only continental USofA borough as opposed to those offshore island boroughs) the real New Yorkers pretty much all got deported a couple of generations back. When large swaths of the city were given the Dresden-lite treatment many realized the bloom was off even the dandelions and as Dandy Don used to croon, “Turn out the lights. The party’s over.”

Eliot Spitzer: “The happiest years of my life professionally were as attorney general, as governor, as a prosecutor and I’d like to go back to public service….”

    – Yes well who wouldn’t be happy with their own private 2 grand a night high-class call girl service, payed for by the tax payers.

    – Spitzer presser circus.
