Former Lieutenant Governor of New York, Betsy McCaughey (D) notes that the only interest group not represented in the proposed “comprehensive immigration reform” legislation is we, the people.
And that’s because the Gang of 8 is a Gang of Liars.
Plain and simple.
Pro-tip for Republicans: if Obama, Schumer, Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, La Raza, and the SEIU is really really really for something, it’s probably best for you to oppose it. Unless of course party doesn’t matter, and you are, in the end, simply a single ruling class, with the object of your voracious appetites being our liberty.
In which case, carry on. Bush / Christie 2016: we are so NOT racist or eco-unfriendly! Seriously. Look at our voting records!

For the life of me, I can’t understand how the Republicans think they’ll hold the House, let alone retake the Senate if this thing passes.
So, all 4 Republicans in the Gang of 8 voted to table Grassley’s border security amendment.
Tells you everything you need to know about Rubio, don’t it?
Wait. Rubio lied to us? That bastard.
Rubio lied to us?
That’s too past tense a configuration to account for the whole. He’s vigorously rowing his mendacious boat as we speak.
Has he more than one oar? If not, that could account for the circles he is making. Smaller, ever smaller.
He could even have two oars with merely an asymmetry of strength applied to end up yawing left. Sure it is though, he isn’t asking for guidance.
It’s obvious he wasn’t a coxman in college.

For the life of me, I can’t understand how the Republicans think they’ll hold the House
I’ve seen no evidence that they want to hold the House. I think they’re primarily pissed-off at the Tea Party for giving them the House in the first place.
Much easier to be the “Junior Statists” (and rail against the evils of Statism) when you’re not actually the majority. Gain power and then do none of the things you said you’d do when you weren’t in power, and people are going to start to notice.
That could be. But the chief perquisite of office is power, and the minority doesn’t have any, so I don’t see them wanting to lose the House.
Unless we’ve become so decadent that these guys are going to be satisfied with personal aggrandizement, near lifetime tenure, and the occasional pork-barreling cum “contituent service” kickback.
I guess I shouldn’t knock personal aggrandizement, huh?
Ann Coulter Blasts Immigration Bill: “Marco Rubio Is the Jack Kevorkian of the Republican Party” (Video)
Remember: Rand Paul recently told the Connecticut GOP that it’s time to “Look like America.”
They really are all that clueless. Plus side? Plenty of time to prepare for the collapse.
House GOP to Hold ‘Special Conference’ On Immigration
The problem they have with power is that with it comes responsibility.
Nothing I’ve seen from either party’s Beltway contingent persuades me they see responsibility as desirable. You could shove a crucifix in Dracula’s face and not get as negative a reaction.
Well Rubio only half lied to you, in English. In Spanish he told the truth.
