“British Soldier Beheaded In London By Attackers Shouting ‘Allahu Akhbar'”

One of the attackers then stopped, knife and cleaver in his blood-soaked hands, and spoke to passersby, even pausing to make a statement to a video camera justifying his actions and warning that “you people will never be safe.”

And he may be right. At least, if the many politicians here (mostly Democrats, but some from the GOP) pushing gun control get their way. The proof being that it wasn’t until the police arrived — twenty-minutes later — and were beset by the same attackers that the threat was ended. There wasn’t a Brit around to put down these animals with a pistol or a rifle or a pump-action shot gun.

Which is why those of us in the States who are doing the difficult work of protecting the 2nd Amendment against sneering liberals and cosmopolitan faux-conservatives using the government to attempt to strip us of a natural right plan to remain a helluva lot safer than the people in London who were powerless to stop the attack. Regardless of what laws are passed here.

Multiculturalism as the left has sold it is a pernicious and profoundly stupid attempt to give the appearance of tolerance rather than pushing assimilation and the kind of liberty agenda that actually engenders it in the long term.

It is a divisive strategy disguised as an inclusive one, and will be the downfall of westernized countries who buy into it.

Like everything else the left sells, it is a lie. And a dangerous one at that.

But it’s a lot less dangerous when you still have the means to defend yourselves. As many of us know, and many erstwhile nannystatists may one day come to learn.

On this side of the pond, we call that a random act of street violence.

Because workplace violence won’t do in this instance.

  2. sdferr says:

    Spot on Ernst.

While on both sides of the big assed ocean the respective governments will place the unfortunate eyewitnesses to the killing into subsidized infantilizing psychological treatment for the “violence” done to their “mental health”, so called.

To make babies of grown adults, on the other hand, is no violence at all.

You don’t suppose that it was intended to do precisely that do you?

    Or is that crazy talk?

IIRC, there was pretty conclusive evidence that Labor’s immigration policy was intended to tweak traditional British culture and piss off patriotic Britons.

  6. Ernst Schreiber says:

That was just a bonus Alec. It was intended to enable the politicians to vote themselves a better class of electors.

    Or however that phrase goes.

  7. Squid says:

It took 20 minutes for an armed cop to show up? This happened right outside an army barracks, for crying out loud. Don’t they have MPs?

  8. cranky-d says:

  9. Libby says:

So it wasn’t designated as a ‘No Beheading Zone’ then?

Seriously, this is disgusting. Barbaric. Just awful.

  10. cranky-d says:

I thought once they made private ownership of guns illegal that violence would disappear.

    Who figured?

  11. SBP says:

They’re already working on knife control over there (no joke). Look for this to provide further impetus.

  12. Pablo says:

    They should outlaw jihad.

  13. SBP says:

    Scissors next, no doubt.

I’m trying to remember whether it was second or third grade when we were allowed to use pointy scissors at school.

  14. Abe Froman says:

Just outlaw Muslims. It may be unfair to the overwhelming majority of them, but they add nothing of value to the world anyway. Send em all back to the desert until they get a fucking Martin Luther or something.

  15. leigh says:

Rounding up all the muslims and fencing them in isn’t an option?

  16. Pablo says:

That’s not nice, Abe. You’ll have to be punished.

I’d hate to try to tackle a winter squash of any variety without a big old knife.

From what I read of their courts and sentencing in British media, I’d say they need to lock up dangerous people and keep them there, and not worry so much about kitchen tools.

Wonder what they’ll do about hands and feet since barehanded killings outnumber all rifle and shotgun killings (here in the US where we can have such things).

Sounds like its about time to start burning down Mosques. During evening prayers. After nailing the doors shut.

Having just spent a lovely 10 days in London, I urge you to reconsider. I can’t remember seeing even a single jihadist while I was there. Perhaps they just gave me a wide berth ‘cuz the recognized me as one of them crazy aggressive Americans…

  20. leigh says:

You didn’t go to their shitty neighborhoods, Squid. This problem with muslims (we called them Arabs back in the day) has been going on for ages. One of my girlfriends from college studied in France for a year in 1979. The school she went to was in Aix-en-Provence which is in the south of France. She had an opportunity to go to Paris for a weekend over Easter break and was riding the Metro and go robbed by some Arab toughs. Naturally, the Embassy was closed for the holidays, so she got to call her folks long-distance and get them to wire her some money so she could stay in a hotel until the Embassy opened up so she could report her identification was stolen.

  21. Well, these bastards have been stopped. And who stopped them? Good guys with guns. But remember, in Great Britain only government officials are allowed to be good guys with guns, so the next time this happens, you’re on your own for the twenty minutes or so it takes the police with guns to get there.

  23. Libby says:

Just saw an article a few days ago about groups of muslims patrolling London enforcing sharia (i.e. harassing infidels http://tinyurl.com/nzz67wo).
Also recently at Gates of Vienna a profile on two young men in Norway (natives) and the challenges they’ve faced dealing with muslim immigrant classmates. Seems no matter what the situation, it is the native who is blamed, meanwhile they must protect themselves from getting caught alone (because they will be attacked by a group of them). http://tinyurl.com/bn5ppdp
How bad will it get, and will it already be too late?

  24. I’d hate to try to tackle a winter squash of any variety without a big old knife.

Me either. You do NOT want to let it get away from you, wounded.

Having spent the summer of 2012 in the UK, I agree with Squid. Moreover, I am also with Abe and Lee: time to end the West’s ongoing Muslim problem once and for all.

  31. ThomasD says:

News reports say people stopped and got out of their cars.

In other words, they abandoned their weapon in the face of a murderous threat.

Guns or no guns, the Brits have been effectively disarmed, no doubt from fear of prosecution should they take immediate matters into their own hands.

  35. I lived in the UK almost 20 years ago. I asked one etate agent about crime in the area we were looking at and she told me, “the police don’t let that happen here.” It was simultaneously comforting and a little scary to be honest. Of course, Labour hadn’t taken over then and further dismantled the traditions and institutions of Britain.

On another note, is anyone quoting Enoch Powell’s “Rivers of Blood” speech, yet? Apparently, the EDL is trying to organize a protest at the scene of the attack. I’ll bet the British police will be out in force for that, protecting the Jihadis…

. . . pulled a knife during his interview with the FBI”

Maybe I’m wrong about this, but it seems odd to allow a suspect guy being interviewed on a murder beef to have a knife on his person while the interview is going on. Too bad about the finish, if the outcome would truly have been a confession along with the implication of Tsarnaev.

  51. leigh says:

  55. geoffb says:

The FBI spent three hours Tuesday interviewing both Todashev and a friend, Khusen Taramov, who told Orlando’s WESH-TV that agents had taken Todashev to be interviewed separately. Taramov said: “They were talking to us, both of us, right? And they said they need him for a little more, for a couple more hours, and I left, and they told me they’re going to bring him back. They never brought him back. . . . I told him, ‘Everything is going to be fine, don’t worry about it.’ He said, ‘I have a really bad feeling.’”

The shooting occurred in an apartment complex off Peregrine Avenue in Orlando, according to Central Florida News 13, which also interviewed Taramov, who said FBI agents “started following us, watching us” after Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his brother Dzhokar were identified as suspects in the April 15 bombing of the Boston Marathon, which killed three people and wounded more than 170 others.

Todashev had reportedly been planning Tuesday to fly back to Chechnya, Taramov said: “He cancelled the tickets because, the FBI had been like, I don’t know, they’ve been pushing him, you know what I’m saying. They’ve been pushing him they say ‘don’t leave, don’t leave’ so he decided to stay.”

Officials told NBC News that investigators did not believe Todashev played any role in the bomb attack, but were questioning him in connection with a 2011 triple homicide in Waltham, Massachusetts, in which Tamerlan Tsarnaev also may have been a suspect.

  56. geoffb says:

The man shot dead by an FBI agent in Orlando, Florida early today was “about to sign a statement” admitting to a role, along with Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, in an unsolved triple murder in Massachusetts in 2011, two people with direct knowledge of the case told ABC News.

Ibragim Todashev “just went crazy,” and pulled a knife during his interview with the FBI, said state and federal law enforcement officials briefed on the latest strange twist in the investigation of the Boston Marathon bombing.

One official said an FBI agent was stabbed several times, although his injuries were described by the FBI as “non-life threatening.”

Maybe he decided to get his 72 raisins soonest and join his friend Tsarnaev who also did suicide by cop.

  57. happyfeet says:

Obazm’s thumbnail history of the inception of war with Al-Qaeda (notice anything missing?):

*** With the collapse of the Berlin Wall, a new dawn of democracy took hold abroad, and a decade of peace and prosperity arrived at home. For a moment, it seemed the 21st century would be a tranquil time. Then, on September 11th 2001, we were shaken out of complacency. Thousands were taken from us, as clouds of fire, metal and ash descended upon a sun-filled morning. This was a different kind of war. No armies came to our shores, and our military was not the principal target. Instead, a group of terrorists came to kill as many civilians as they could. ***

From out of the blue! No attack on the USS Cole. No attack on Embassies in Kenya (Kenya! You’d think he could recollect his daddy’s nation at least!) and Tanzania. No declaration of war by Al Qaeda in 1996.

    Nope. Those things didn’t happen.

From out of the blue, we made it happen.
