“Food Stamp Rolls in America Now Surpass the Population of Spain”

Sadly, this is one of his real achievements that, were this President at all honest about his actual liberal fascist agenda — which is to grow the government and expand federal power, ally himself with big corporate interests, shrink the middle class, destroy small business, hamstring the private sector, and create a permanent dependent class that will keep voting “in their economic interests” — he would be boasting about this evening.

Instead, he’s adopted the techniques of the Marxist / Communist reformation, using lies and distortions to blind the populace,  framing his message in the language of free market capitalism and feel good populism (social justice!) while he simultaneously works to deconstruct the very foundations of just such a system.

There’s your real state of the union.  So I’ve just saved you the agita of watching the jug-eared pinko try to manipulate low information voters (and timid Republicans) into willingly surrendering more of their liberties and more of their property.

You’re welcome.

Greenwald’s problem is that he took things at face value. The “unprincipled Democratic hacks” who are cheering the President’s power grab on , by contrast, are actually more perceptive than him. They know the real priority was never ‘human rights’ or ‘pacifism’ or any of that twaddle the Obama campaign trotted out. It was ‘seize domestic power by any means necessary’. That was the signal of the hidden mutex.

All other traffic must stop. The “we won” express gets the green light all the way. But who is “we” and what does “winning” mean. Maybe we should ask the President. Or maybe not.

Thanks, I wasn’t going to watch anyway. I was hoping for a SOTU speech thread, so I could just read the comments of those among us with strong stomachs and possibly latent masochistic tendencies that do watch. Thanks again.

Of the two phenomena present in a SOTU, the more painful, I think, is watching the auditors sit passively taking in the prepared lies without standing on their feet and bringing the whole charade to a permanent halt. That is, the audience always proves themselves sheep. It’s unconscionable.

Also, foods stamps are now considered to be a dynamic positive for the economy, like how Nancy explained unemployment checks are a net plus.

Those EMT cards are supporting millions of small businesses that would die out from the drop in Cheetos sales alone if it weren’t for the food stamps. Why do you want small businesses to fail? Why?

You’re a bit confused and behind the times. Those are the greedy capitalist exploiters of food deserts who force the poor to eat unwholesome processed foods instead of wholesome and nutritious slow food like they serve in the school cafeteria.

It’s the food stamp version of medicare fraud. So it’s only a matter of time before the champions of Social Justice! swoop in to right this terrible (and probably racist) wrong.

Well of course THEY are evil, der! Absurd to think I missed it, one might think you crafted a strawman in fact.

Surely you are not suggesting the commerce generated by this government infusion of goods and services is anything less than necessary, and beneficial to business! Ridiculous!

One suspects you are racist, and before you force me to assemble a poll, you best move on.

    I said GOOD DAY SIR!

By calling him a “pinko” you have drawn attention to the fact that the man’s skin is not, in fact, pink, so racism!

Also, to commemorate this milestone, food stamps can now be used to purchase tapas!
