Enemies and allies: an inversionary tale
The Blaze, approached Current Media about a sale last year, but was told in the words of one source that “the legacy of who the network goes to is important to us and we are sensitive to networks not aligned with our point of view.”
The Blaze “reached out to them to buy it,” a source familiar with the talks told POLITICO. “They would have replaced Current programming with The Blaze programming, but were told on initial calls that [Current] wouldn’t sell to someone they weren’t ideologically in line with.”
In explaining the reasons for selling to Al-Jazeera, Current co-founder and CEO Joel Hyatt told the Journal that the Qatari-based broadcaster “was founded with the same goals we had for Current,” including “to give voice to those whose voices are not typically heard” and “to speak truth to power.”
Well, one could make the argument that the reason some voices aren’t typically heard — or typically able “to speak truth to power” — is that their vocal chords are torn and mangled when the suicide bomb vest they’re wearing goes off, and pieces of the bus or police barracks or pizzeria or child, coupled with the bomber’s own internal architecture, hit speeds that turn them into deadly projectiles. But that’s probably just nitpicking, right?
The real takeaway here is this: we’re never to question the patriotism of the progressive Marxist gun-grabbing Alinksy swine and former domestic terrorists and race-hustlers who have taken over the Democrat party — even as they tell us, rather explicitly, that they are more in line ideologically with Al-Jazeera than with any competing line of thought that exists within their own country.
Well, fuck that. I question their patriotism. And you should, too.
Meanwhile, Al Gore, king of the environmental hucksters, is set to retire on petro dollars.
But don’t worry: the Emperors aren’t naked. They are merely wearing flesh-colored suits with dildos appended. And very realistic-looking hair sewn onto the backs and into the ass cracks of their glorious finery.
And no, of course you aren’t remarkably daft idiots for following them and believing they have your — rather than their own — best interests at heart. Don’t you listen to the haters. You’re good and righteous and stand for all the best things. Just like Al-Jazeera does. Bless your tiny little minds.
