Well, that title may be misleading. Because the ammo that was once available has been bought up by somebody. And those somebodies aren’t fixing to run out of ammo any time soon, is my guess.
Still, I take your point.

Scarcest? .40 HPs. You know, for the target practice.
Greetings:
Reminds me a bit of a little infantry folk-wisdom to which my favorite Platoon Sergeant introduced me. It went, “The basic combat load is 22 magazines; we hump 29.”
That would be the government.
Coincidence?
(you know the rest)
Actually, it wouldn’t surprise me too much if the Feds were stupid enough to forego the use of ball ammo for practice in favor of practicing exclusively with hollow points. Since, when does Federal Government ever have to economize?
That Calif Senator is driving my need for far more AR-15 ammo than I have. Although purchased during her prior ban, it now has a collapsible stock (BAD, BAD, BAD) and a nice bipod to keep the front steady. It is is calling for about 5-10K more .223s. I hear my MAK-90 and SKS calling too, but they have plenty. She wants the mini-14 too. Don’t know if any of my rifles in my safe are not “””EVIL””” according to her. If I must register all with the BATF, my guess is becoming a criminal is another option to get more rights.
