    – That’s going to leave a scar.

  2. cranky-d says:

I’m not sure yet if they’re really turning on him, or if it’s just a temporary thing.

  3. Mike LaRoche says:

Clint Eastwood gets the last laugh.

  4. serr8d says:

Recall the famous New Yorker Barky – M’Chelle Oval Office ‘terrorist fist bump‘. They love him, but they still have to sell copies of their shitty magazine.

  5. serr8d says:

Heh. ObamaFlation: the price of said shitty magazine went up $1.50 since.

  6. BigBangHunter says:

    – Just from perusing the Lefty media cranky, I’m guessing they’re giving Jug ears a warning that he better get his shit together, or they’ll drop him like a bad taco. It sort of started with Krugman’s article this past week, and that was even before the debate meltdown.

    – The blood is in the water, and the stench of political fear could snowball, particularly if Biden screws the pooch in his debate with Ryan. They’re worried to death they’ll all end up looking like its Kerry night all over again.

  7. leigh says:

The letters to the editor in the NYT and the New Yorker are running about 9 out of 10 ‘Obama Sux’.

I think the jig is up.

  8. BigBangHunter says:

    – They completely jiggered the jobs numbers today because they had too. But its a poison pill.

    – Obama’s team was told point blank that no incumbent has ever repeated with unemployment over 7%, and that was Truman, and a whole different ball game, with a war, same as FDR, to lean on. So they gave him 7.8, and they’ll probably try to fake it down again in the next report, but I think that will be the nail in his political coffin.

    – The bridge too far, pissing off too many unemployed voters at the 11th hour. His record is finally catching up with him, and all the faux propping in the world won’t put lipstick on that pig.

    – His campaign had no choice but its a lose, lose either way. In the mean time gas prices are edging over 5$. A whole lotta chickens coming home to roost, and the media is starting to line up for the exits. If Obama can’t at least break even in the remaining debates, there’s just no way, and what the media is most afraid of, and the campaign as well, is if Jug ears slips below Romney in too many polls its all over.

  9. leigh says:

I’m looking forward to this next debate between Romney and Barry. You just know Jughead is going to be loaded for bear—not with information, but anger—and will interupt, pull meaningless statistics out of his ass, tell us that he killed Osama, etc. If he starts up with Libya in the meantime, he’ll talk about that and how it was necessary to keep the pieces/peace.

I hope Romney beats him about the head and shoulders with the corpses of the SEALs and Chris Stevens. Asks him why they wouldn’t ramp-up security when they were asked at least three times and why a Pentagon spokesweasel came out today and stated that Stevens had a DC-3 (!!???) as a get-away plane. Those things are museum pieces, fer cryin’ out loud. I’d like him to call Obama out on the despicable funeralish return of the remains and the showboating he and Hill did on that. He won’t probably, because he’s a nice guy, but that would be awesome. Jughead would stammer like Ralph Kramden “Hammada, hammada, hammada…”

And, just for fun, I want Mitt to ask about Jarrett’s SS detail. Who pays for that? Why does she need one and so on. Heh.

    Barely possible.

  11. Benedick says:

    The New Yorker is raaaacist.

  12. McGehee says:

Of course they’re raaaaacist. Why did they have to give the chair dark upholstery?

  13. beemoe says:

Iran could announce a temporary halt to uranium enrichment before next month’s U.S. election in a move to save Barack Obama’s presidency, a source affiliated with high Iranian officials said today

If the voters fall for that we deserve Obama.

And you there are no bear loads for a cap buster, Leigh. ;p

  14. geoffb says:

Guess who this quote is from.

“Going forward, one of the things we’re going to have to address is that dishonesty. It’s hard to remember a time in American politics where you had someone who’s a major nominee for the presidency being that fundamentally dishonest about core parts of his campaign platform.”

    Did you guess right?

  15. Darleen says:

    geoff

That Obama being negative and lying to his base … desperation to get them fired up.

He & his ilk create a straw-Romney and run against that! Romney’s dogged insistence on not letting O define him in the debates has truly gotten under O’s infamous thin-skin

  16. leigh says:

geoff, that’s their meme since yesterday.

“That Romney guy is a lying liar what lies!”

  17. leigh says:

He & his ilk create a straw-Romney and run against that!

That worked great at the last debate! Why, Obama he mopped the floor with Romney…

    Oh, wait.

  18. Libby says:

Ouch! Media sending a message to O that he needs to pick up his game?
Live by iconography (creepy O logo), die by iconography (empty chair). Poetic justice, eh? Obama’s image being so damaged by a Hollywood type is pretty great, too. Thanks, Clint!

  19. beemoe says:

Rush Limbaugh Mitt Romney is a Big Fat Liar.

    Sadly, it will probably work.

  20. […] blog of the day is protein wisdom, with a post on that empty chair New Yorker […]

  21. leigh says:

Barry is starting to sound like a vaudeville baggy pants comedian. One that needs the hook.

    BBH,

All over except the ballot-stuffing. Even that isn’t likely to be much help.
