“195,000 Fewer Americans Had Jobs in July; 150,000 Dropped Out of Labor Force”

It’s working.  The private sector is doing fine. Hope, change, etc.

It’s all good.

Now. Let’s see if we can’t put Christian companies out of business by casting religion per se as intolerant and hateful and a violation of the “civil rights” of those who, while not forced to adopt religious beliefs, have nonetheless to encounter religious people and their odious hateful ideas and opinions on occasion.  And being forced to encounter hate is unacceptable in a tolerant society, as any truly tolerant person will remind you.  In fact, it is your duty as a truly tolerant person with a purpose to be intolerant of intolerance.  To hate the shit out of hate!

— Then, after the righteous destruction of hateful businesses owned by hateful people who somehow manage to live with themselves, steeped as they are in deep-fried hate, we can, with state assistance,  replace those businesses with the kinds of tolerant businesses wherein each and every employee and owner and customer believes what it is s/he’s been instructed to believe — or at least, fakes the correct beliefs.  And is able to parrot them.  Convincingly.  Or else.

For freedom. And fairness.  And social justice.

Forward!

All right-thinking people know it’s their civic, nay, moral duty to hate anything that smacks of intolerance.

  2. leigh says:

Jeff, that slogan is “Forward.” No enthusiasm there at the end. Just dead stop.

That’s some marketing sooper jeenyus there.

  3. Darleen says:

But but but the MSM says the job report is GOOD NEWS for Obama!

The US economy created a solid 163,000 jobs in July, the Labour Department said on Friday, unveiling data that will help US president Barack Obama dull attacks from his Republican election rival.

The economy created many more jobs than the 100,000 expected from economists, and although the unemployment rate ticked up to 8.3 per cent, the report is likely to be seen as evidence that the economy is still on track.

I’d say some of the jobs were for hiring more turd polishers for the White House press corps

  4. leigh says:

163,000 new jobs – 150,000 dropped out of the work force = 13,000 net new jobs.

“It’s just simple math, folks!” quoth Barry.

  5. JD says:

    On track?!

  6. missfixit says:

Really unbelievable how private businesses are being publicly threatened by government officials! I went to Chick Fil A last night and it was waaaaay more packed than normal — it went beyond Wednesday for sure.

Of course, I live in South Carolina, land of the backwards haters.

  7. missfixit says:

    As a citizen report:

Last night when i was sitting in the ChickFilA drivethru, I witnessed random people helping the owner unload a small truckload of lemons and trolley them into the back of the restaurant. People were just milling around talking, like it was a convention of sorts.

Which it kind of was, come to think of it. A convention of pissed off citizens.

  8. BigBangHunter says:

    – They have put so much lipstick on that pig the poor bastard is about to drown in ‘teh scarlet’.

    – National U6 = 14.9% ‘real’ unemployment number, up 0.3% for July. Cal = 20.4%

    – Rasmussen: Romney 47% , Obama 43%

    – HuffPoop:
“DC DOESN’T CARE – Why Washingtom elites accept mass unemployment”

    – Oh my, the natives are getting restless.

Barry (he can sing, you know), steps to the podium to explain:

I’m a little pimp with my hair gassed back
Pair a khacki pants with my shoes shined black
Got a little lady…walk the street
Tellin’ all the boys that she can’t be beat
Twenny dollah bill (I can set you straight)
Meet me onna corner boy’n don’t be late
Man in a suite with bow-tie neck
Wanna buy a grunt with a third party check
Standin’ onna porch of the Lido Hotel

The contrast between POTUS with the TOTUS and Romney speechifying today was dramatic.

Romney’s crowd was fired up. Obama’s looked like they need a Red Bull.

    – They just need more cowbell Leigh.

  13. BigBangHunter says:

    – OT sorta…. Did you see this Darleen?.

    – The thought police are on the job!

  14. JD says:

Looking inside that 163,000 one finds some pretty creative accounting in how they estimate private sector small business job creation. It looks like they estimated at 10 times the rate they did at this point last year.

  15. BigBangHunter says:

    – JD – Everybody knows at this point its just political games and they’re cooking the books furiously to try to help Obama’s Titanic economy.

    – But thats their problem. Everybody knows, even the hardest core of the Left knows.

I have not been a fan at all of NBC’s totally failed coverage of this Olympics, but what if Gabby hadn’t won the gold but it was a girl of pallor? Would the same ad (spots are scheduled ahead of time) been racist?

This was, at worst, carelessness because IIRC commercial placement isn’t handled by the same people who are directing the rest of the coverage.

That said, I’m also annoyed with the “African-American” label … Gabby was born here as were her parents. She’s an American – either “black” or of “African heritage”. Stop with the f**king hyphenation of regular citizens already!

  17. bh says:

You know what I find offensive? This notion that a monkey is somehow a racial slight against a black woman.

I don’t see any resemblance. Nor does anyone born after 1890, I assume. (With the exception of people like Margaret Sanger, of course.) Those who would pretend to nowadays should be paid just as much mind as the crazy guy talking about aliens by the freeway.

So why the fuck do we have to live in a world from centuries ago? I didn’t ride a horse to the dry goods store today. I’m not concerned about bad humors in my body either.

  18. leigh says:

You know what I find offensive? This notion that a monkey is somehow a racial slight against a black woman.

Exactly, bh. Who even thinks this way? Sadly, I have/had relatives who were quite racist when I was growing up and I never heard any of them use any monkey or ape remarks.

  19. BigBangHunter says:

    – The Pravda press on the Hudson will give up the race card from their dead gnarled fingers.

    – They have to hit back everytime “one of those people” wander off the plantation, and she committed the cardinal sin of using the dreaded ‘god’ word, not once but twice, in one of her interviews.

  20. leigh says:

They’ll really have their knickers in a knot later today if one American wins in swimming. She has credited her successes to her Catholic faith.

    The horror.

  21. BigBangHunter says:

    – I’m waiting for the day when the najority of the Black community begins to get pissed at the people using them rather than being pissed at the people who tell them they’re being used.

    – Maybe if enough Blacks understood what 28% unemployment in the inner cities really represents and who and why the real reasons for so much of it, things may change.

    – But go ahead and vote for him Black America, he’s got your back, and the Democrats will go right on manipulating those little levers in that Black back of yours.

  22. Darleen says:

Gabby already made one of those hatey-hate “God” statements:

“It is everything I thought it would be; being the Olympic champion, it definitely is an amazing feeling. And I give all the glory to God. It’s kind of a win-win situation. The glory goes up to him and the blessings fall down on me,”

  23. BigBangHunter says:

    – I watched Romney and Obama do their thing today on C-span.

    – Romney is starting to get a pair, and the Womce is still saying “we’re on the right track, and blaming the House for not passing his ‘tax the dirty rich’ bill.

    – He’s still preaching botton up economics, as if you can tell the man with the gold how he’s going to invest his money. He’s going to ride the horse of stupid right into oblivion.

  24. leigh says:

From your keyboard to God’s ears, BBH.

  25. Crawford says:

He’s still preaching botton up economics, as if you can tell the man with the gold how he’s going to invest his money.

You can — if you have a gun to his head.

  26. newrouter says:

Barack Obama and Ben Bernanke are now working in unison in an attempt to purchase a second term. There will be those who will argue it will not impact the election. Not so. Those surrounding Obama hope to have QE3 as a tool to buy back support from Wall Street in the final weeks leading to the election. Sadly, there may be some who will cooperate with this “buy back”. Shame on them for doing so. God will make an accounting of their betrayal when they are held in final judgement.

  50. palaeomerus says:

I usually see lottery numbers in the waffles but I don’t play the lottery because it’s for suckers. It’s like some demon sent to Earth to promote compulsive gambling is wasting his time and hasn’t figured it out yet.
