I ask you all to remember again that this woman is a Republican, and that in fact this entire prosecution has been driven by Republican officials looking to burnish their racial bona fides to avoid the predictable charges of racism that slip profitably from the mouths of “civil rights” leaders like, eg., Al Sharpton, or race-baiting politicians like our current President.
That is, I ask you all to remember that this prosecution was in fact an objective correlative for the way GOP pragmatists have adopted the left’s rules and accepted the left’s overarching political paradigm, one in which they are always presumptive racists, misogynists, homophobes, xenophobes, etc., until they affirmatively prove otherwise — mostly by way of doing just what it is the left demands they do, principles be damned.
I have no patience for such creatures any longer. Just because they wear a flag pin in their lapels and believe in lower taxes doesn’t mean I will throw my kneejerk support their way. In fact, I’m oftentimes harder on these kinds of GOP “pragmatists” than I am on the leftists because with the leftists, we know who they are and why they do what they do.
It’s those who surrender to them for a pat on the head and some cheap social grace from phony human rights leaders and a demonstratively leftwing media, who are the real problem, because without their timidity or outright cowardice (which they often justify as “compromise”), the power of the left and the media is drastically weakened, and what is a demographically conservative nation begins to understand that the hold the left has over us is largely a smokescreen, a tissue of otherwise impotent vapor masquerading as a solid wall of cultural mandates.
Unshackle yourselves. Then wave your hands at the smoke. And away it melts, as superficial and insubstantial as the political philosophy behind it.

I saw this yesterday and thought it was so insane it could not be true. What was I thinking. Anything is possible now.
Many Republicans do suck.
I think the prosecution has been driven more by the desire to appease the mob than meet it with the grape shot it deserves, but your point stands.
I’m having trouble seeing pragmatism through the fog of incompetence and stupidity. I reckon it’s there though. The fog itself is a pretty good indicator.
The embarrassment of filing such a stupidish over-the-top charge against Zimmerman has to be wearing around Angela Corey’s neck like a decaying albatross. So, she’s lashing out at critics, only making the dumbth deeper.
But, Zimmeraman was arrested. That opens the door for the civil lawsuits, which was the only reason for the filing of the charges in the first place. Corey probably knew she didn’t have a chance at winning in court. Just a tactic it was, serving a purpose(s).
Dumb and vicious.
Professor Jacobson at Legal Insurrection notes that Corey just created an ethical dilemma for herself and should step down from the case.
There’s idiots, and then there’s idiots who think a party affiliation means anything.
Their political voting tag means as much as their skin color does; nothing. Actions are more important.
Such as me getting some coffee. My synapses feel like they’re covered with the sludge you find in the oil pan of a car that hasn’t had an oil change in three years.
Republican…Democrat…so what?
Some people you just don’t let near any type of power. Period. She seems to be one of those types.
This is a typical greasy-pole climber, using the “R” label to get a better grip.
Right. Appointed by an “R” governor.
Aaaarrrrrggghhhhh!!!!!
