Gayest statement evah [Darleen Click]

Clinton was our first Black President, so it’s left that Obama is, according to Andrew Sullivan, our first Gay President.

And President Obama has much in common with the gay community. “He had to discover his black identity and then reconcile it with his white family, just as gays discover their homosexual identity and then have to reconcile it with their heterosexual family,” Sullivan writes.

Sully asserts that our essential identity is our melanin content and/or the preference of our libido?

What happened to being judged on our character? As I recall from the sixty’s, the argument was that gays or lesbians or blacks or [group du jour], were just like everyone else. And said characteristic was not defining and no more important than height or eye color.

However, collectivists don’t really care for individuals, but are concerned only about the political power of group identity.

Shorter Sully: Gays! Out of the closet and into the Ghetto!

Yes, but not YET to my level! – Kevin (Fisty 4U) Jennings

  3. happyfeet says:

Mr. Jennings was one of those things that catholic hate-bloggers Jim Hoft and the Skankoress wet their fucking pants about and now that he’s come and gone they really can’t point to anything he did during the administrations what was worth all the fuss.

here is how National Soros Radio characterized presumptive Team R nominee Mitt Romney’s position a couple days ago

Obama’s move has thrown Mitt Romney’s regressive position on marriage equality into stark relief. While Obama was already the most pro-gay rights president in history, Romney is actually further to the right than George W. Bush on gay marriage. Romney not only opposes gay marriage but also opposes civil unions that offer equivalent benefits to marriage. That means Romney would deny benefits such as hospital visitation rights to same-sex couples. Bush, on the other hand, supported civil unions, and his former vice president, Dick Cheney, supports gay marriage. Romney also supports a federal amendment to the Constitution that would ban gay marriage.

I’m not sure any of that is true except for the part about how he signed some stupid pledge that nobody really expects him to actually fulfill. But that they’re lying about it so aggressively suggests that they feel the need need need to draw a sharp distinction with Romney on this issue.

I wonder if it’s what they’re gonna use to mormon up the campaign since this is an issue where Romney can be painted as being in lockstep with The Church.

Why do the SSM advocates toss in “hospital visits” as some sort of marriage right?

A PATIENT has full choice over who gets to visit. They can even BAR their own spouse/parent/child.

yes hf it is proper and good to take political decision clues from a fictional character on tv.

  11. Ryan C. says:

Sometimes patients are unable to state their visitation wishes formally because their medical condition prevents it. This could be handled by doing it ahead of time and placing it into one’s medical file, before such a medical condition arises, and the medical staff honoring it. The problem comes up when patients haven’t done so or their wishes aren’t honored. The first bit goes away with a bit of pro-active foresight on the part of the future patient, and the second goes away when medical staff (and parents/etc. of patients) aren’t allowed to ignore what patients have put in writing when their reasoning is that the staff or patient’s other family members don’t like it.

In other words, a bit more individual responsibility, and enforcement of individual rights, would make visitation a non-issue.

Yeah, pointing out how Jennings’ reading list was a pervy grooming exercise was a real act of “hate.” Of course he was on his best behavior–that’s a handy resume’ enhancer, and one that will get glsen’s nose into a lot of new tents.

    oh for fuck’s sake

California’s budget deficit has swelled to a projected $16 billion – much larger than had been predicted just months ago — and will force severe cuts to schools and public safety if voters fail to approve tax increases in November, Gov. Jerry Brown said Saturday.

    […]

Under Brown’s tax plan, California would temporarily raise the state’s sales tax by a quarter-cent and increase the income tax on people who make $250,000 or more.

and what is the reaction of Andrew Sullivan’s president?

Concerned about possible delays in state funding of high-speed rail, U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood told California leaders Thursday that the Legislature needs to send a signal that it is committed to the project by including money for it in the state budget to be approved next month.

    […]

The meeting was also attended by Sens. Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) and Alan Lowenthal (D-Long Beach) who have balked at quick action to approve the state’s $2.7-billion share of the first $6 billion construction segment in the Central Valley.

Yes. While failshit California is 16 billion dollars in the hole, our rapist in chief wants California taxpayers to cough up a $2.7 billion dollar downpayment to build a tiny jag of high-speed rail in the dessicated nowheresville Central Valley where nobody even wants to fucking go.

    Sick sick sick.

People need to remember shit like this when california comes begging like a hungry whore.

A-yep. The evidence is really solid, too. But the gay community seems reluctant to embrace him as one of their own.

Everytime I come across a head shot picture of Sully, I can’t help laughing. It seems as if he went for the tough lumberjack look. As in “look at me ! I’m a tough, manly type of lumberjack man guy. So don’t mess with me!”
Dollars to doughnuts, in any face to face, Sully would immediately get the ‘vapors’, piss himself , and pass out.
    Not necessarily in that order.

  23. happyfeet says:

well we know the vapors would have to come first then it’s simply a question of whether he would piss himself before or after he passed out, and I think it’s more likely that he would piss himself before he passed out in reaction to some kind of stimulus what provoked that kind of reaction. Unless he was really drunk, cause then I think it’s just as likely that he would piss himself after he passed out as it would be for him to piss himself before he passed out.

  24. mc4ever59 says:

    Speaking of Sully…..
Great short vid at Weasel Zippers. Sully gets all emotional over ‘father figure’ Obama’s support of gay marriage.
    The guy is comedy gold.

  26. mc4ever59 says:

HA! Great catch, Darleen! Quite the blast from the past, too.

  27. Dale Price says:

There’s a really good chance Sullivan would be floating on the chronic, so he might not get either the vapors or self-soiling. Just kind of a dull, puzzled, cud-chewing look you’d get from a flabby Holstein gone to seed.

He’s more the type who would go hide behind someone else’s skirts in any event. Just like he did when he was subject to deportation for the ganja.

  28. mc4ever59 says:

    Ahh, Sully.
“If ever there was a manly man”….
it sure as hell isn’t him.

    DISCOVER his black identity ?

Sorry, MORON, but he was born that way and since the only defining characteristic about it is the color of his skin, he knew from day one.

Second, Obama is HALF black and HALF white.

Unreal that Newsweek would go out of their way to try and win back the mantle of most pathetic formerly respected (?) news magazine from Time after their tabloid stunt.

Don’t hospitals enforce policies such as Relatives Only in Intensive Care?

Does the law have any say over these things? Because I got one of these over Twitter.

Not that they’re beyond inventing/believing false facts to support their cause.

  36. leigh says:

No, Intensive Care is two visitors at a time and no small children unless okayed by the doctor.

  37. Pablo says:

Depends on the hospital. We threw a party in PICU.

  38. leigh says:

PICU is rather different, as you know. And yes it does depend on the hospital. I was speaking generally.

NICU, for instance, is parents and siblings only and still only two visitors at a time and for 15 minutes. Again, depending on the hospital.
