We are outraged by your racism

you pussy ass crackers.  And Uncle Toms.

Stop the racism now!  Kill (brown half Peruvian) WhiteyFor justice!

(h/t JHo and Pablo)

****

updateIn case it shows up on those blue and red posters, you see.  Besides:  we all grieve differently.  For instance, some people cry; others pass along inaccurate stories about their child being shot on a porch, then rush to get a patent on his image.  Who are we to judge?

  1. Pablo says:

    Uh oh.

    Uncle Tom, no doubt.

  2. mc4ever59 says:

And if you hurry, you can get your own official “Obama 2012” hoodie! Yep. Actually out there. Although of course the Obama campaign isn’t trying to send a message there, or anything.
I swear to God, these people have no shame.

  3. leigh says:

I’m willing to bet that the young man in the photo is unemployed, yet shelled out for this ugly ass shirt.

Fools and their money, and all.

  4. JHoward says:

Former NAACP leader C.L. Bryant is accusing Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton of “exploiting” the Trayvon Martin tragedy to “racially divide this country.”

“The epidemic is truly black on black crime,” Bryant said. “The greatest danger to the lives of young black men are young black men.”

Dude been hangin’ with that Cosby too damn long.

  5. Crawford says:

    Cracker?

Dammit, I hate it when people misapply racial slurs.

This is going to end really, really well. I just know it! Especially with everyone reading and watching The Hunger Games this weekend.

Hey now … some of us can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Honestly, if I didn’t find something -occasionally – to amuse myself … ugh.

  14. Squid says:

I’m just saying that the reason Spike Lee and the Reverends are all pissed off is that they lost one of their Tributes right out of the gate. And those no-good half-Peruvian crackas and their Uncle Tom friends from District 9 are to blame!

  15. Squid says:

Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, and family attorneys blamed police for leaking the information about the marijuana to the news media in an effort to demonize the teenager.

“The only comment that I have right now is that they killed my son and now they’re trying to kill his reputation,” Fulton told reporters.

(My emphasis.) For those not paying attention, Trayvon’s mom is accusing the police of killing her son.

This is going to end so well.

Btw, why are the “s” and the “k” on that tee-shirt in red? Is that some sort of code?

The mother of Trayvon Martin has filed two applications to secure trademarks containing her late son’s name, records show.

This could end up like a medieval race to secure relics of the dead saint.

  23. Ernst Schreiber says:

Just saw this report of Martin trying to beat Zimmerman’s brains out linked by Glenn Reynolds.

My only quibble is with his conclusion, even if he meant it ironically.

This is the change Obama was hoping for.
    Just exactly

  24. Ernst Schreiber says:

Well, shit, sdferr, why should saving your own life be more important than proving you’re not a racist?

There’s a heirarchy of values that needs affirming here!

  25. mc4ever59 says:

“They”, huh? And she doesn’t get called on it; not a peep.
Look, if lunacy is the new mainstream, then to hell with it all. Let’s just go to arms and be done with it.

Yep, along with the accompaniment of a staffer of the New Duranty Times.

Joseph Kyles reported from Sanford, Florida that Martin was shot in the back of the head. As the anchor, Greg Coy, tweeted, “This could change invest[igation].”

Who is Joseph Kyles? Kyles is a local board member of Rainbow Push, Jessie Jackson’s civil rights group. Why is this relevant? Because Jackson has reportedly been announcing at his speeches that “[George] Zimmerman told police he had killed him. Shot him in the back of the head in self-defense” – although for some reason, the paper reporting Jackson’s statements, the Orlando Sentinel, has pulled the remarks (though the line is still available via Google Cache).

So either Kyles has information that nobody else does, or Jackson’s talking points are going around to his affiliated organizations. If the former, this could be a serious change in the nature of the case. If the latter, Jackson and those who are parroting him must stop spreading unsubstantiated information immediately – such behavior clouds the case itself, and drives public anger without evidence.

  33. Crawford says:

Well, newrouter, the momentum was starting to turn against them.

yea but “shot in the back of the head execution style” is the narrative being born

Keepin’ it real, yo. I’ve learned the importance of this from famous NYT personage Mr. Blow.

  47. sdferr says:

  51. bh says:

Everything below about 5’6″ is a midget, Geoff.

Of course, as Eazy-E reminds us, “[…] with a gat it don’t matter if he’s smarter or bigger.”

Which is cool when you’re talking about shooting some beefy cracka pig, of course. It’s way worse when the guy with the gat is a short, fat vato. Then it’s the hate crime of the century.

  52. bh says:

Maybe Mr. Zimmerman was recently listening to Hovah and thinking to himself, “My motto: you only good as the last nigga you kill.”

How would Obama explain that to Sasha and Malia? Uncle Jay Z might have encouraged a brown man to shoot the brother they never had.

(Yeah, I’m not particularly serious about any of this but a huge part of this narrative seems to rely on people having no familiarity with contemporary America. Maybe rich white progressives don’t. Maybe they view all of this as some sort of terrifying street theater.)

  53. geoffb says:

In October, a school police investigator said he saw Trayvon on the school surveillance camera in an unauthorized area “hiding and being suspicious.” Then he said he saw Trayvon mark up a door with “W.T.F” — an acronym for “what the f—.” The officer said he found Trayvon the next day and went through his book bag in search of the graffiti marker.

Instead the officer reported he found women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that he described as a “burglary tool,” according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald. Word of the incident came as the family’s lawyer acknowledged that the boy was suspended in February for getting caught with an empty bag with traces of marijuana, which he called “irrelevant” and an attempt to demonize a victim.

Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described silver wedding bands and earrings with diamonds.

Trayvon was asked if the jewelry belonged to his family or a girlfriend.

“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” he responded, according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.

Liberty City activist Renita Holmes attended with about a dozen fellow protesters.

“This case broke me,” she said. “If we continue to do it, it will make a difference. The way we handle this should be a precedent on how we handle every case.”

  55. newrouter says:

Here’s something that we’ll likely never know, but that would turn everybody’s brains inside out if it happened to emerge: What if poor Trayvon Martin’s thinking was: “Who is this guy following me? If he was a white guy, I’d figure he’s just a neighborhood do-gooder so I don’t have much to worry about. But he doesn’t look white, he looks like some kind of drug-dealing Latin, and everybody knows in Florida that they’re often gangsters. Didn’t you see Scarface? So I’d better get the drop on him and punch Scarface here out before he tries to rob me or kill me for stepping on his drug-dealing turf.”

Or, what if Trayvon’s uncle liked to lecture him on how oppressive Hispanic cops had caused the 1982 and 1988 Miami riots by abusing African-Americans, and we shouldn’t let the Hispanics push us around anymore and act like they own Florida.

As I said, we’ll never know, but for the sake of cognitive exercise, assume that a heretofore unknown text message from Trayvon to a friend is discovered saying more or less that his fear of Zimmerman and motivation for confronting him was motivated by his prejudice against mestizos.

  57. geoffb says:

So when do we get to see him froze to a light pole?

  58. sdferr says:

    ” . . . and slammed his head on the ground . . .”

Yep, the ground. That’s some stellar reportage right there. And some fierce cutty ground while we’re at it. After all, we wouldn’t want to complicate the portrait with talk of the distinction between a concrete sidewalk and the “ground”.

  59. leigh says:

Who punches a complete stranger in the nose, then slams his head into concrete, repeatedly, then sits on him and starts wailing on him?

During public comment to the review team, residents lined up to blast the state for taking away the rights of Detroiters.

Activist minister Malik Shabazz said black cities are under attack all over the state.

“We understand we have financial difficulties,” Shabazz said. “Give us the help we want, need and deserve, not the help you want to impose on us. We don’t want an emergency manager or a consent decree. This is white supremacy and we will fight you.

“Before we let you take over our city we will burn it down first,” Shabazz said.

Ed McNeil, chief negotiator for AFSCME Council 25, said people have sacrificed and fought hard to bring the city back.

“There’s no kind of way in this world you should be taking anything from Detroit and its residents,” McNeil said. “We intend to keep it our city. We intend to work in our city and progressing for our city.”

Little problem. The help they need is not the help you want, and they nor you deserve anything other than what you already have which is a failed city. Sooooo….

    Beggars can’t be choosy, Malik.

  69. Crawford says:

Beat me to it, bh. They burnt down most of Detroit years ago. Kindling and combustibles became so hard to find the “Devil’s Night” traditions just, um, burnt itself out.

leigh — Detroit is almost entirely “chocolate” and defiantly racist to boot. When Dems talk about “dog whistles” and “code words”, I recall how every one of Detroit’s ills is blamed on the “suburbs” — code for “whites”. That they’ve made the city inhospitable for business, that they’ve incubated a permanent dependent and criminal class, and that they’ve debased their educational system to the point they don’t even notice their superintendent’s illiterate, well, they made their own bed.

    Let them burn it.

When I lived in Pittsburgh, I watched the city deteriorate as the young’uns moved away and the population aged and crime boomed after they tore down public housing. It turns out that living in nice neighborhoods didn’t change their shiftless ways and they let the grass grow long, raised pit bulls in the basements and generally turned the neighborhoods to crime-infested shit-holes.

March 7th, First story outside of Florida and since the initial stories in the local Orlando press on the Zimmerman shooting surfaces in the Chicago Trib. Headline “Family of Florida boy killed by Neighborhood Watch seeks arrest Chicago Tribune – Mar 7, 2012” Story is from Reuters and is put out now on Yahoo.

“ORLANDO, Florida (Reuters) – The family of a 17-year-old African-American boy shot to death last month in his gated Florida community by a white Neighborhood Watch captain wants to see the captain arrested, the family’s lawyer said on Wednesday.

Trayvon Martin was shot dead after he took a break from watching NBA All-Star game television coverage to walk 10 minutes to a convenience store to buy snacks including Skittles candy requested by his 13-year-old brother, Chad, the family’s lawyer Ben Crump said.

“He was a good kid,” Crump said in an interview, adding that the family would issue a call for the Watch captain’s arrest at a news conference on Thursday. “On his way home, a Neighborhood Watch loose cannon shot and killed him.”

Trayvon, who lived in Miami with his mother, had been visiting his father and stepmother in a gated townhome community called The Retreat at Twin Lakes in Sanford, 20 miles north of Orlando.

As Trayvon returned to the townhome, Sanford police received a 911 call reporting a suspicious person.

Although names are blacked out on the police report, Crump and media reports at the time of the shooting identified the caller as George Zimmerman who is listed in the community’s newsletter as the Neighborhood Watch captain.

Without waiting for police to arrive, Crump said, Zimmerman confronted Trayvon, who was on the sidewalk near his home. By the time police got there, Trayvon was dead of a single gunshot to the chest.

“What do the police find in his pocket? Skittles,” Crump said. “A can of Arizona ice tea in his jacket pocket and Skittles in his front pocket for his brother Chad.”

Zimmerman could not be reached for comment on Wednesday evening at a phone number listed for him on the community’s newsletter.

Crump said the family was concerned that police might decide to consider the shooting as self defense, and that police have ignored the family’s request for a copy of the original 911 call, which they think will shed light on the incidents.

“If the 911 protocol across the country held to form here, they told him not to get involved. He disobeyed that order,” said Ryan Julison, a spokesman for the family.

“He (Zimmerman) didn’t have to get out of his car,” said Crump, who has prepared a public records lawsuit to file on Thursday if the family doesn’t get the 911 tape. “If he never gets out of his car, there is no reason for self-defense. Trayvon only has skittles. He has the gun.”

Since Trayvon, a high school junior who wanted to be a pilot, was black and Zimmerman is white, Crump said race is “the 600 pound elephant in the room.”

“Why is this kid suspicious in the first place? I think a stereotype must have been placed on the kid,” Crump said.”

March 14th Hundreds of news stories on the shooting now out.

March 19th Stories start asking Obama to weigh in on shooting.

March 23rd Obama says “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”.

Obama’s African-American base now fired up.

March 24th, Shooting story starts to come apart.

Question. What base is next to be fired up. Whatever it is the original story is probably happening right now in obscurity.

  80. sdferr says:

“What base is next to be fired up?”

Obama may have some patching to do with Latinos after this Zimmerman debacle, so he could be looking back to a state dealing with immigration. Or is it more properly the turn of the lgbt grievances? Who f’ing knows.

  81. geoffb says:

Well these two crimes don’t fit the right narrative and so will miss the chance for national fame and fortune.

  87. SGTTed says:

“What base is next to be fired up?”

    Gays.

Romneys Mormonism will be linked to the Mormon effort to pass Prop 8, the ban on gay marriage (Prop HATE for Proggs). Blacks protestants and Mexican Roman Catholics that voted to ban gay marriage will be ignored.

Because the inconvenient truth is that the minorities who turned out to vote overwhelmingly for Obama also voted overwhelmingly to pass the gay marriage ban. PC narrative ruined by their own voters. Schadenfreud ensues.

I think that result was the funnest moment of the 2008 election for me here in California, simply because of the identity group infighting and how the anti-prop 8 protestors went out of the way to avoid confronting minority church leaders and went after Mormoms only. I had a fun time calling the gay community out for failing to confront racial minority church leaders or minority communities for being “anti-Gay”.

Good thing the kids school record including the possibility that he burgled some items found in his possession, are irrelevant. Personally, I think the pictures the family is using for him shows him as too old- really, the picture should be Trayvon as a 5 year old holding onto a stuffed animal. He was an innocent, Trayvon was. Innocent and never hurt nobody.

  90. RI Red says:

Geoffb, good timelines compilation. The overlaps are going to be interesting to watch.

[T]he emerging powerhouse black-owned Tallahassee law firm of Parks & Crump.

Crump seems to be everywhere. He’ll be burning out cellphone batteries exchanging info with reporters, shouting to a protest crowd through a megaphone or gently guiding his aggrieved clients through a nationally televised interview to make sure the same message gets through.

“It’s about justice,” says Crump, 42. “Too many times, whether it’s Martin’s case or Trayvon’s, our society looks on the death of black boys like they’re throwaways. And we’re not going to let them get away with it.”
    […]
They phoned the Rev. Al Sharpton almost instantly, and organized marches with local civil rights activists. They also started pressing for federal involvement and alleging a cover-up from the get-go.

The results: The Sanford police chief received a no-confidence vote and stepped down temporarily. The prosecutor stepped aside to make way for a special prosecutor. The Justice Department and the FBI have joined the investigation. Celebrities from Cher to Donald Trump have gotten behind Trayvon’s case. And thousands have marched and protested across the nation.

Even President Barack Obama weighed in Friday on what he called a “tragedy.”

“You gain some experience,” said Parks, who has had a more behind-the-scenes role in the two cases as a matter of coincidence. “You brainstorm. You use what works and you don’t stop.”

Race is central to their practice
    […]
Talbot “Sandy” D’Alemberte, a past American Bar Association president and former president and law school dean of Florida State University, knows the duo well and recalls that, even in college, they had a knack for politics, organizing and supporting the black community.
    […]
“There is no law firm like Parks & Crump,” Sharpton, now an MSNBC host, said. “No one has the credibility like Ben. He called me and we gave this national attention. If it was left locally, this case could have been stuffed in a drawer.”

Some lawyers shy away from the cameras. Crump says he needs them.

“In court, you have the jury,” Crump says. “Our job is to get the case to a jury. We need to fight first in the court of public opinion. The jury is the American people.”

Parks and Crump also donate to charities and politicians throughout the state, from commissioners in Leon County to Rep. Frederica Wilson, D- Miami, who was a rock for Martin Lee Anderson’s family when the parents had to witness the gruesome sight of their child’s exhumation to perform a second autopsy.

“You have to build a coalition,” Crump said.

Added Parks: “Because we’re black, because we’re from the community, we need to make sure we have people in office who help the community,” he said. “We don’t do this alone.”

    Community organizers in action.

    The facts however, remain.

Yeah, I know. Silly hobbit, facts are such subjective things.

“What base is next to be fired up?”

I predict the intellectually dishonest college English prof base, and the infantile progressive lawyer base, geoffb. It’s just a feeling I’ve got.

  96. leigh says:

Since the administration, in particular the Justice Dept., is keeping mum on Fast and Furious, I predict that following a relentless onslaught of Trayvon-like stories (innocent, wide-eyed young black chirren gunned down in cold blood while skipping rope, &c) over the next month or two will lead to louder cries for gun control. Not hoodie control or stop acting like a fucking thug control, but gun control.

This will pit ignert Red staters and gun owners against proggs and old hippies (peace, love, wha…?) chewing up considerable news time and detracting from the fact (pesky, pesky facts!) that Obama is a reckless mofo bent on destroying our country.

The word “journalist” is rapidly taking on the connotation of the word Rush Limbaugh got into trouble for applying to Fluke.

    Doing the Fluke two step.

New Black Panther Party top brass arrested in Georgia after pawning gun

A LEADING member of the New Black Panther Party, who went on US television to offer a reward for the capture of Trayvon Martin’s killer, George Zimmerman, was arrested in Georgia.

    God, that’s funny.

*hoodie control or stop acting like a fucking thug control*

    Stop repressing their culture!! Racist!

  102. leigh says:

The sorry thing Matt, is that no matter what I do or say, I’ll get called a racist so I guess I’ll just embrace it.

    Right on Cue:

“Same-sex marriage foes seek wedge between gays and other minorities”

The highlights include the group’s aim to exploit racial and cultural animosities. The group aims to “drive a wedge between gays and blacks” and make “support for marriage a key badge of Latino identity….to make opposition to gay marriage an identity marker, a badge of youth rebellion to conformist assimilation to the bad side of ‘Anglo’ culture.”

According to NOM, “The Latino vote in America is a key swing vote, and will be so even more so in the future, both because of demographic growth and inherent uncertainty: Will the process of assimilation to the dominant Anglo culture lead Hispanics to abandon traditional family values? We must interrupt this process of assimilation by making support for marriage a key badge of Latino identity — a symbol of resistance to inappropriate assimilation.”

It’s full of racist drivel like this.
