Experience ha shown us that we need to run away from confused and sometimes treacherous idiots like the McCains.

  2. Danger says:

    Alternative headline:

    John McCain’s two cents;
    RUN FROM IT!!!

(cus sometimes you can’t overdue the caps;)

  3. Danger says:

Darn it paleo, where’s my cell phone headstart?

  4. cranky-d says:

I was just explaining my take on the contraception issue to my father. It was never about insurance covering something that really should not be insured. It was always an attempt to make Republicans look bad.

Maverick McCain has rarely wasted an opportunity to pile on. I wish he would just register as a Democrat, but he knows that if he did so, no one would listen to him any more.

  5. Blake says:

Umm, Senator McCain, one small point: You talked about an issue you say the GOP should stop talking about.

  6. sdferr says:

McCain is a deep and dependable well of undercutting trash to the leftist media. So long as he’s around, so long will they return to him for their own propagandistic purposes.

  7. geoffb says:

The graceful loser considers snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is his very own personal saving grace.

  8. leigh says:

Isn’t it about time for McCain to spend some more time with his family? Perhaps suggesting to Meghan that talking about one’s sexual habits in a national magazine isn’t a good idea would be a good place to start. I doubt it would do much good since she seems to have inherited her parents sense of propriety.

I just threw up a little bit of yesterdays Guiness…
which I guess in theory made some space available for a replacement so thanks to Meghan for that

    Should read:

    Failed Republican John McCain

Sometimes I feel like McCain poured all of his courage and heroism out in Vietnam and into reestablishment of a life back in the US.
If nothing else, the man illustrates well how one can be tremendously brave in one area of life and a complete spineless squish in another.

Maybe he can put together an new ticket at any brokered convention:

    McCain/Crist

We can all agree ringing Crist back into the GOP fold would be a stroke of genius; the moderates would flock to the polls knowing that their reproductive rights are assured…
Maybe Meghan could be the new HHS leader!

Of course reproductive rights are assured now by the GOP. We just want people to pay for whatever they choose to use themselves. And we aren’t into forcing religious institutions to act against their consciences.

I did like Dennis Miller’s idea the other day.
He said something like “OK, I’ll pay. Meet the recipient down at Walmart, stand in line, get out my wallet count out the $75… use a couple $20’s, some $5’s, a few $1’s and finish off with some quarters dimes and pennies.
Take a photo like they do for the starving kids in Africa to put on your desk, so you can remember… “

And Mittsy is the better, more Electable™ McCain!

  12. leigh says:

    Sorry about that, SteveG.

  13. palaeomerus says:

Romney to base: ” If I run against my own party’s excesses, then moderates and independents will make me president. And my own party will have to vote for me as kick them. HA HA HA HA HA. And of course if I run against the excesses and failures of the democrats then I will offend moderates and independents and they won’t believe that I’m enough like Obama to effectively replace him. It’s going to be a hell of second 2008 race folks! “
