Gutsy? [updated]

Not everybody is willing to pretend that Obama’s “gutsy” call to take out public enemy number 1 — after sleeping on it, and dithering for several months — was all that gutsy after all.

And of course, with this President, you either show the proper deference, or you get the back, bitch.

Ms Burlingame, of course, raises the important point our media will not: why is Eric Holder still “investigating” the CIA interrogators that provided the intelligence that eventually allowed for Obama to make his “gutsy” decision — intelligence that future Presidents will not have because of the opportunistic moral preening of those who, to borrow from Colonel Jessup, rise and sleep under the blanket of the very freedom they provide, then [pretend to] question the manner in which they provide it [in order to score cheap political points].

This Administration is an embarrassment. I never thought I could be turned off by the killing of Osama bin Laden. But ObamaCo has somehow managed to make the whole affair feel forced and tawdry.

update: Oh, lookie! What happens when you go to http://www.gutsycall.com ?

Christ. It’s like we’ve stumbled into the Home Shopping Network presidency.

Tawdry.

Osama bin Laden acted confused and cowardly?

So OBL was the cowardly lion?

Too bad Team Obama is acting confused as to what happened. Since it is totally messing up any proproganda victory for Team USA.

I hope Mr. Beamer has financial resources he can draw on, because I fear his SS/Medi checks may soon get “lost” or otherwise fall out of the system.

Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if his 401(k) turned up empty tomorrow.

Damn, we did it again. Double posted the same thing. And now I have that ditzy song in my head from just typing those words…

  5. Squid says:

missionaccomplished.com is available. I suggest we pick it up and point it to the same place.

Not sure where to put this, but…

And this might not work, but the URL should be right

  7. Bacon Ninja says:

That decision was about as gutsy as the decision I make to wipe my ass when I’m done taking a dump.

Jesus. It’s like Obama wasn’t joking comparing his [bowling] performance to the Special Olympics. Pretty soon the press will be applauding his ability to go pee-pee in the big boy potty ALL BY HIMSELF!

  8. Stephanie says:

his ability to go pee-pee in the big boy potty ALL BY HIMSELF!

Just what makes you think he mastered that trick? With all the MBM slobbering on it, they probably hold it for him, too.

  9. cranky-d says:

Just to be a contrarian, there is no way of knowing who actually set up that URL. Whoever it was used a proxy.

  10. Stephanie says:

Yeah, I’ve seen some tweeting that Treacher got confirmation, but I don’t see how he could have.

  11. cranky-d says:

It would take a court order I think, or an insider in the proxy holder who knows the name of the registrant.

  12. JD says:

    They disgust me.

  13. Bacon Ninja says:

Giving someone so much credit for such an easy decision is just so damned infantile. You’d think someone on the left would point that out.

I mean, I wouldn’t, but someone who hasn’t been paying attention and started thinking about it might.

  14. dicentra says:

Because had the same opportunity presented itself three years ago, Bush would have wet his pants and ordered an immediate withdrawal.

I decided to eat dinner. Gutsy call! And it only took me 16 minutes to figure out where to eat.

Remember when the Pentagon used to handle all press briefings related to raids, wars, captures and such? The military has been exemplary in all aspects of this capture. Do you think they would have screwed the pooch on the press briefings as badly as the insane clown posse falling all over themselves to get their messiah some love? Obama would have been much better situated to bask in the glow if they had just let everyone do their jobs. Just one more example of his glaring ‘managerial skillz.’

Hmmmph. I may be forced to become a ‘Paultard’.

Who does best against Obama? Paul. The congressman from Texas, who also ran as a libertarian candidate for president in 1988 and who is well liked by many in the tea party movement, trails the president by only seven points (52 to 45 percent) in a hypothetical general election showdown. Huckabee trails by eight points, with Romney down 11 points to Obama.

The poll indicates the president leading Gingrich by 17 points, Palin by 19, and Trump by 22 points.

It slithered in a few threads back as well.

Great. Perfect, in fact. One of those clowns thought gutsycall.com was a good fucking idea.

  27. Ernst Schreiber says:

About that “gutsy call” thing (not the gustycall.com thing):

Chalk it up to the soft bigotry of low expectations, cowards.

  28. B. Moe says:

That was an inspiring speech, Ernst. I am not sure whether I should be embarassed for not having more token Negro friends, or pissed that no Negroes invite me over for dinner and drinks.

  29. serr8d says:

I don’t normally ‘link-span’ my own site, given that it’s considered bad manners and all, but Blogger doesn’t do trackbacks, and this “Gutsy Call dot com” ‘tawdriness’ annoyed me more than just ever-so-slightly.

And if one doesn’t toot one’s horn every so often, who the hell will know or care what one’s done?

With that in mind, “I’m IN!

  31. Matt says:

I wonder if Gutless.com is taken?

  32. Mikey NTH says:

On the Home Shopping Network you can actually get something.

  33. ThomasD says:

The Ground Zero victory lap was a pathetic display of what this administration thinks of the voting populace; that we are a gullible bunch of rah-rah yahoos easily swayed by their Jedi level campaign techniques.

Every day that little man in the White House gets a little bit smaller.

  34. Obstreperous Infidel says:

Osama bin Laden acted confused and cowardly?

Is that supposed to read, “Obama bin Lazy acted confused and cowardly”, Joe? Because that would be correct, too.

  35. Slartibartfast says:

    “Gusty” fits better, I think.

  36. Loren Ibsen says:

Hoped someone else would suggest Goatsecall.com, but you let me down.
