How to go after Obama, the non-establishment unhelpful way that Senator McCain was careful to avoid (thus losing by not as much as he otherwise might have, which is, of course, something to celebrate and build upon):
Ohio has also taken firm action under the leadership of Republican ex-congressman and new Gov. John Kasich. As part of an immense, multifaceted reform and cutting process to address the state’s $8 billion structural deficit, Kasich has signed a controversial measure called SB 5.
It has no effect on the wage and work-condition bargaining rights of the state’s 350,000 public union members, twice the size of Wisconsin’s membership. SB 5 does, however, remove sick time, pension benefits and healthcare from negotiations between unions and the government.
Obama suggested this was blaming public workers for the public problems.
Kasich was asked about the president’s strong opinion. And Kasich offered his own strong response. The full answer is on the video below, but Kasich said in the 1990s he had been House Budget Committee chairman and chief architect of the last federal budget to be balanced.
He noted that Ohioans’ elected representatives had reached this legislative agreement and, as required by law, balanced the state budget while preserving tax cuts. Then, he added:
“The president of the United States has I think a $13 trillion debt. Why doesn’t he do his job? When he does his job and gets our budget balanced and starts to prepare a future for our children, then maybe he can have an opinion on what’s going on in Ohio.”
Reading between the lines here, Kasich is calling the President shiftless. And lazy.
May has well have been wearing a hood and carrying a noose, really.
and THAT’S why I voted for Kasich.
Kasich has long since been one of the few Congresscritters that I respected.
Has the MFM asked Obumble about Massachusetts yet?
Doesn’t Kasich understand that the balanced budget was all Clinton’s doing? What the hell is he trying to pull, here?
He’s fucking with the narrative.
Kasich used to seem to have tendencies toward comity and a touch too much establishment in him when he used to pop up on Fox when he was in Washington. A true model of growing OUT of office into much stauncher stuff. Amazing what getting away from congressional staff retreads and Washington smug can do. It’s a virtual template for the tea party to follow – bust em out of office and watch their transformation to the dark side.
I’ll bet his dog is conveniently named “boy” too!
When the buck stops with you (as governor), it’s your job to make sure you stop the bucks from hemmoraging.
I especially like the way he prefaces with the talk of Ohio’s elected legislaturing deciding what Ohio needs to do, and finishes strong by noting that Obama has no room to talk until he starts making the adult decisions…
You can tell he hasn’t been listening to some of the good men calling for comity, and insisting compromise is what a democractic republic is all about; as long as the Dems are in the political minority, that is, otherwise it’s jamming speed!
That’s my Gov. Good on him. Though, I would have liked his budget to be a little more demanding, but all in all a great first few months in office.

Whoa. I hope Alford has decent security.
Here’s some more “appropriate” ObaMao campaign posters

In anticipation of May day, which, incidentally is what the DXY is telegraphing to us all; MAYDAY!.
Too bad the Bernank can’t get the message…
Hate to be doing the BDA in the White House bunker after that skirmish.
Suffice it to say Odummy won’t be launching any more attacks on Ohio!

I believe I like the cut of this Kasich fellow’s jib.
There is an easy and and accurate way to measure the effectiveness of your criticism of brakabama. If his slaves accuse you of calling him a dirty nigger using “code words” for dirty nigger; you’re doing it right.
You know about the whole idea of a line you probably shouldn’t cross? Look behind you.
