The Big Dig

No, not literally. But, well

Yes, you read that right. Democrats in Massachusetts admitted that Scott Walker had the right idea all along. In fact, the Commonwealth believes that the ability to manage health care coverage will save taxpayers $100 million in the next budget year.

And in another nod to Wisconsin, the House held their vote at 11:30 last night, hoping to avoid the kind of demonstrations that Wisconsin Democrats encouraged in Madison.

Are Massachusetts Democrats not aware that without unions, there’d be no Saturdays and Sundays? Or lunch?

Why do they love Hitler and hate the freedom that comes from “bargaining” against nobody in order to award yourself platinum benefits packages and perks?

This is good news, but it’s a long way from this becoming law. I would not be feeling too vindicated just yet.

OT: The Big Dig reference made me think of our local experiment in light rail. Even though the state is in hock for over 6 billion, we’re still going to build the 10 billion dollar light rail extension. That’s some forward thinking.

Last night a woman at the light rail station was claiming that they are going to make it profitable. I have never seen public transportation that didn’t lose money. She was definitely a liberal. Anyway, I had a buzz on and I guess I said enough because she went outside the shelter I was in.

I expect the protesters to gather and begin instructing all Mass. residents about what democracy really looks like at any moment…NOT!

zOMG! WHY ARE THEY TRYING TO BREAK THE UNIONS!

This should get thrown in the face of every leftist out there that lies about what it is that Wisconsin did. The MFM should cover it as breathlessly as they did WI.

I just looked up the Mass. State Senate list – out of 40 senators, only 4 put an R after their name. So, this bill should just zip right through after the House vote, yes? And if it doesn’t, you would have to think some elaborate kabuki was being played out.

    Democrats doing kabuki?

My whole concept of Democrats has been shaken. I need to go lie down.
