That trillion dollar omnibus bill? Obama still wants it.

Looks like the pragmatic Good Man has decided that moving to the center is a sucker’s play.

Instead: Shut out the “obstructionist” haters and their bitter-clinger mandate and bring on the spendings!

White House senior advisor David Axelrod made it clear on Sunday that President Obama has made no commitment to vetoing spending bills that contain earmarks despite calls from fiscal hawks for the president to make that pledge.

Axelrod suggested it may be too late in the year for the president to refuse his signature on bills that contain pork.

“Obviously, this is very late in the game in terms of budgeting and keeping the functions of government operating,” he said on “Fox News Sunday.” “One of the problems is that these things come embedded in bills that have to be signed.”

Axelrod said this is one reason the president supports the “line-item veto,” which could allow him to cut earmarks from a bill without tossing the entire thing.

Translation: the Democrats are hoping to jam through the over 1 trillion dollar omnibus spending bill during the lame duck session rather than allow 12 individual spending bills to be scrutinized by what will be a newly-empowered, fiscally-conservative Republican House once the new Congress is seated.

And if it takes plenty of pork to get ‘er done, so be it.

Obama will do what Obama wants to do. And you peasants had better learn to love it, because he’s doing it for your own good.

Christ. Whatever happened to the compliments, you ungrateful nobodies…?

“That trillion dollar omnibus bill? You’re soaking in it.”

    “But… it seems so mild.”

“Yes, it does. It won’t take long, though, before it causes all your savings to shrivel up and turn to dust. You’re welcome!”

Obama the good man is a healer, remember? He would never take an active role in budget reducing violence

I’d like to see a show of hands from all those who are surprised by this — except Mr. Frey.

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

    Should be fixed.

Time to punish their enemies, I guess.

Frey will make excuses for this behavior as well, fellow racists. The “pragmatic right” wouldn’t be able to see the truth if it were an anvil landing on their Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius, noggins.

Obama really is a libtard. If he moved “centrist” his odds of election go up considerably. There is no way of getting rid of Obamacare until he is gone or the GOP has a Senate supermajority. If he loses in 2012, then a simple majority can get rid of it.

And, no, Hillary will not challenge Obama in 2012. The only way Hillary runs is if Obama voluntarily decides not to run again (unlikely to say the least).

I always had my doubts as to whether he’d be able to pull off the Clinton Shuffle. It would be good if he did not even bother. Clear choices make for decisive elections.

Is that a death threat? Because it sounds like one of those purists issuing one of their death threats.

Don’t try your triangulation on me, sparky. We have a word for that where I’m from.

Many conservatives seem to have taken the stereotypic “woman-in-a-relationship” approach to our President Barry, often wanting to change him into something he isn’t. I say we should leave the man alone to be who he is (and while we’re at it — leaving him be to polish up his most shiny self — let’s take a moment to congratulate Speaker Pelosi on her next term in office as the Minority Leader without another word of a suggestion to the contrary to her faithful party). That will be best for them all, I’m sure.

And even, possibly, on afterthought, for us.
