Frisch Fry, the return [updated]

Comeuppance? You tell me.

At the very least, it’s a nice start — and probably a welcome relief to anyone who’s ever been unlucky enough to draw her attention.

Enjoy the accommodations, Deb! I’m sure orange jumpsuits and canned beans really bring out your eyes.

****
update: I’ll post more info as it comes it, starting with this, via email: “Judge Vogt gave [Frisch] far more [than] the prosecution asked for in sentencing,” while labeling her “a dangerous offender” who has been “escalating for years.”

Also, yet another stalking order is scheduled to be served today. Happily, they’ll have no problem finding her…

****
update 2: Thanks so much to all of you who have been so supportive during what has been a long, drawn-out ordeal for me and my family. And a special thanks to Gerbil Nation for its tireless work documenting teh crazy.

As promised way back when, on Friday, the armadillo will once again be allowed to dance.

Or, you know — not

PO to be able to search her residence at will

Oh, cool. In CA that’s called Bravo terms and that could really crimp her sneaking internet access.

Indeed, under Bravo in CA any car or house the probationer is at is subject to no-warrant searches by either the PO or any officer who knows of the terms.

  2. Jeff G. says:

Rest assured we’ll know who her PO is, and we’ll be happy to provide that officer with tips and updates.

    We’re givers that way.

  3. Jeffersonian says:

    Bitch crazy.

  4. Darleen says:

    Great Jeff,

She’s got 5 years in which she’s banned from the internet, and the PO can search her house, or any house she visits if the PO believes she violating any terms of her probation.

    SWEET!

    Beauty!!

  6. Mikey NTH says:

That’s good. I hope the judge is also one of those that explains that the probation was the second chance.

    What a relief. Finally.

  21. cranky-d says:

The eternal pessimist in me believes she’ll find some way to get internet access again, and nothing will come of it.

Still, she’s out of circulation for a season, thus the holidays of many will be much more pleasant than they might have been, and that’s a good thing.

They’ll have her running the prison group therapy sessions in no time.

  22. SarahW says:

Haven’t seen any armadillo dancing in a while.
Ok, ever. But I’m really looking forward to it on Friday.

  23. A rest is nice. Enjoy yourself.

  24. SarahW says:

She attacked…the courts. She will be a special case, monitored. She will be required to get mental health eval and TREATMENT…which doesn’t always work or work well, but there’s a prospect she might improve. If she isn’t, the judge isn’t going to monkey around.

If OR probation terms are like CA’s Bravo terms, yes. Any OR lawyers in the house to help me out here?

  31. scooter says:

    Sleep well, Jeff.

  32. Darleen says:

I’ve found something about OR probation terms for juveniles where, as a condition of probation, the juvenile and his/her parents expressly waive their Constitutional right to a warrant for searches.

  33. Darleen says:

Oh .. another thing, under usual terms of probation, the defendant will not be allowed to travel without the express permission of the PO. Out of state most definitely, out of county depends on the terms.

A copy of the minute order would be helpful here.

  34. cranky-d says:

That Bravo search is extreme. What if you have someone in your home, and you don’t know they have such a restriction on them?

It sounds like fascism to me.

  35. cranky-d says:

I’m sure others will object, but if something smells like a police state, I get nervous.

  39. my two cents says:

Many congrats, Jeff. What a relief after four and a half years of uncertainty re: this mentally ill person.

Am particularly enjoying the fact that she is dying to know what teh interwebs are saying about her and She. Can’t. Am I mean? I guess I am. Schadenfreude is sweet. She caused quite a bit of suffering to a lot of people over the last five years.

  40. Sinner says:

    By all means Gloat.

Just reconvene in 90 days, cuz “teh crazee” will be out and proud.

She has 90 days of people telling her what to do all day long, inmates who aren’t going to put up with being called names to their face, and most of all, no Internet to blow off steam on.

Am convinced she’s going to have some kind of meltdown in stir (she does have a history of physical attacks as well as stalking, and even if she *can* control herself physically, the other inmates won’t be able to with the names she’s calling them) and have to be committed to a hospital for a while. The best option IMO for this pretty sick woman, as well as her victims.

  55. OregonMuse says:

I don’t know how it is in other states, but from working with prisoners, I found out that the parole officer is basically God, King, and Lord High Executioner over his charges. Cons out on parole can’t take a shit without the PO’s permission, and the PO can show up any time, day or night, and search the place. They can dictate where you go, when you come home, and who you hang out with. Look at them cross-eyed and bam, back into the pokey they go.

Having said all this, I’m pessimistic. Here in Lane County, my impression is that so far, the legal authorities have acted like they’re afraid of her. Crazy Deb has already been convicted of numerous stalking offenses, been on probation for years, has been repeatedly warned, etc., and she still dishes out her crap unabated. She has repeatedly called their bluff and has always gotten away with it. Now, maybe this time it’s different. Maybe finally, some judge has finally gotten his bellyful of Deb’s psychotic bullshit and has said, enough is enough. We can only hope. But as I said, I’m doubtful, and I can very well see Deb sneaking into the Lane County Public Library in the off hours to continue posting her vile and threatening blog entries.

    So we’ll see.

  56. KD says:

she does have 30 days to appeal her sentence however, and we know how she likes to appeal. i have to tell you how satisfying it was to watch them slap the handcuffs on her and march her out of the courtroom’s back door. right before that she caught my eye and i was able to give her a big fuck you grin. another moment of pure pleasure.

  57. Joe says:

That little stunt of Deb’s with the Federal Court in Portland might have pushed this matter to something the State Court decided to take seriously. Or perhaps the Judge was offended by the totality of her criminal antics. While 90 days in jail is probably not what you would call hard time, it is time nevertheless.

    Congratulations.

  76. Darleen says:

That Bravo search is extreme. What if you have someone in your home, and you don’t know they have such a restriction on them?

It was upheld by CA State Supreme court.

Most probation terms restrict the type of people the probation can “hang” with. If they go to a known drug house, boo-hoo to the other people when the PO and officers come in without a warrant.

  77. Ric Locke says:

Also, if it’s like Texas, the probationer is obligated to inform the host of the situation. I don’t like it much either, but at least it’s an attempt to strike a balance between keeping tabs on wrongdoers it’s too expensive to keep locked up and something resembling property rights.

    Regards,
    Ric

  78. Pablo says:

She attacked…the courts. She will be a special case, monitored.

Sarah W. sees the big picture. While it’s sort of infuriating that such a thing as Dr. Demento should be left to prey as she does because of indifference, she’s done us all the favor of eliminating that indifference by attacking them. Deb is going to be a special case because she’s pissed off the people with the power to lock her crazy ass up. I don’t suppose they’ll hesitate to lock her ass up some more, and I suspect she’ll find that charges find her and cling to her
like she was a magnet, even when she’s “free”.

    DECISION SCIENCE RULEZ!

So that cupid stunt got thrown in the pokey for “unlawful use of a stun gun/mace”? I’d love to hear the backstory on that. In any case, it’s been a while since I’ve been around here, but like some others I heard about this at Ace’s today, and I’m very happy for you and your family, Jeff. This whole thing has been so far beyond batshit crazy that I frankly don’t see how you stood it. Had it been me, I would have likely gone off the deep end and introduced that bitch to my good friends Smith and Wesson and their Excedrin Headache #357. That you did not do this speaks volumes about your forebearance under the circumstances. All the best to you and yours…

  84. McGehee says:

So that cupid stunt got thrown in the pokey for “unlawful use of a stun gun/mace”?

ISTR that was her one actual assault charge. From what I saw in past threads, she had car trouble and called a friend to help her, then turned on the friend with said weapons in a rage that said friend remains unable to explain.

…my good friends Smith and Wesson and their Excedrin Headache #357.

I gather that’s one of the more humane EH’s, being of extremely brief duration.

  85. Jeff G. says:

Great to see some of my old readers, if only for a brief moment.

    Thanks all.

  86. A Gerbil says:

she had car trouble and called a friend to help her

She actually was inebriated and had been pulled over by the cops. The “friend” was an attractive lesbian who wasn’t into Deb, but felt bad enough that she agreed to driver her home when the cops asked her to. Deb maced her and then accused her of kidnapping, started stalking her, etc. Apparently Deb doesn’t react well to being turned down by pretty lesbians.

  87. SteveG says:

“The “friend” was an attractive lesbian who wasn’t into Deb, but felt bad enough that she agreed to driver her home when the cops asked her to. Deb maced her and then accused her of kidnapping, started stalking her, etc”

  88. woolf says:

    I wouldn’t hope for that.

    I would, so I guess I’m not.

  89. Skorpion says:

Hallelujah! As the above posters have said, Deb is in for a (deservedly) rough time indeed. A big, uncontrollable, abusive mouth is the LAST thing a new fish should demonstrate in the joint, and I’m sure her new roomies and captors will be setting her straight in short order.

Jeff, I’ve followed this case ever since Little Miss Attila drew attention to it a couple of weeks ago. It became personal for me when Debbie Dipshit turned her psychotic wrath against LMA, who’s an old, dear friend. I’ve been happy to make my little contributions of cash and suggestions here, and am pleased that now Frisch is going to be out of circulation for awhile, and possibly off the Internet for even longer. Best wishes to you & your family.

“so she’s spending the night in a room with a door what doesn’t open from her side”

Are you talking metaphorically about her mind?

  93. I turned my back for a week, and apparently she posted about my family again–I’m glad, in a way, that I didn’t see it. Work took me away during her final posting frenzy.

I cannot imagine, Jeff, what your life must have been like for the past four years. And now I’ll have to keep closer tabs, too–along with you, and the victims in Oregon. I guess that’s one way of compelling attention from the outside world. Sad, sad.

One wonders how much of this comes from the judge’s background as a protector of children, how much of it had to do with a rational response to someone creating so much destruction over the internet, and how much of it was “the Amy Bishop factor.” (One wouldn’t want, after someone like Frisch started taking people out, to be “the judge that let her go,” in the midst of such escalations.)

It’s nice to see some measure of justice served, here, but we may never be able to really turn out backs on her.

  94. Joe says:

I assume she is going to face a trial for the mace thing.

  105. LTC John says:

The best part is the strict conditions of her probation – she violates, then the move for revocation would see prison time…not just county time.

  106. cranky-d says:

The fact that the state supreme court upheld Bravo does not mean jack squat to me. Supreme courts are not always good about protecting rights.

That said, I agree with Ric in that I know something must be done with these people, but I still don’t like it the idea of no warrant searches in my home if I happen to have the wrong person there. An attitude of “what have you got to hide?” leads to even more of a police state.

  107. One hope they’d ascertain in advance whether her host knew who she was, and would simply be asked if she’d had an opportunity to use the internet there. As a practical matter, in Lane County people probably do know who she is.

  108. mojo says:

ECT is for WIMPS! I say we go with the Pre-frontal lobotomy…

  109. funnyhaha says:

    LittleMiss,

There is plenty of technology to track if Deb is accessing internet from any computer she owns. Is it fool-proof? Absolutely not. But I think the Lane County law enforcement staff, local/federal judges and the local Prosecutors are motivated enough to contact all providers in the area to block her from having access. I did take some time to look up any local cafes with rental computers. There are only a few. Kinkos has them as well. It wouldn’t take much work to make sure those places have Deb’s picture and parole paperwork (even if a citizen needed to share the info). Staff wouldn’t even have to ask her to leave; they could just call the police!

The no-internet parole requirement will be hard to enforce. But the court staff, Prosecutor’s office, local/federal judges and even legal aid are so sick of her that I think they will do all that is humanly possible to keep her offline for at least part of her parole. And I think they would all delight in doing so.

Perhaps I am just an optimist. But, the next 90 days are going to be delightful. I giggle every time I think of Deb in jail! She however, does not!! LOLOL!

  110. McGehee says:

Staff wouldn’t even have to ask her to leave; they could just call the police!

With Deb, it doesn’t matter whether they ask her to leave — they’ll have to call the police anyway.

  111. Yeah, I’m just . . . before they locked her up she apparently figured out who my husband is, and posted some shit about him and me. It’s been taken down, and in light of what happened to Jeff I feel petty bringing this up–but a wall has been breached in my life.
I have a lot riding on her staying off the internet. I’m mixing my metaphors. I need coffee.

  112. Darleen says:

It’s not petty, Joy. It’s the drawback of the net that people like Fr**ch, who are obviously dangerous, can be ignored for four years by the judicial system until she starts attacking them. She uses that fact to scare people into backing down and gives her a blank check for her craziness.
