Probably Persons of Conscience should write their Congresspersons when addressing grievances involving sexism, meya. There’s absolutely no good excuse why the President, the commander in chief of the armed forces, hasn’t spoken out about this; at least to offer his condolences to the families and indeed the entire city for this ugly and harrowing spectacle…

(8) Members killed or wounded in action by friendly fire. In accordance with 10 USC 1129 for award of the Purple Heart, the Secretary of the Army will treat a member of the Armed Forces described in (a), below, in the same manner
as a member who is killed or wounded in action as the result of an act of an enemy of the United States.”
So it looks like it would be up to the Secretary of the Army to say yea or nay, per (6).

Because of the readership Jeff’s created here, I’ve got far more than I deserve. People thank me for links, but the only thing I can tell them is it’s Jeff’s site and I only link what I think is good. I don’t care about the rest of the extracurriculars. I was told that using the term “mulatto” in reference to Opie was “offensive” on Gateway Pundit. Not by the host but by a content contributor. I pointed out that Opie was indeed EXACTLY THAT. The “offended” party was not deterred from asking me to censor myself. Dumb people do dumb things. Jeff getting banned sounds pretty dumb to me. The only thing I think ought get someone banned is PURPOSEFUL HOSTILITY toward the HOST on a continuing basis.

Dan – the supreme irony of this is that Playboy the Magazine usually lambasts readers who submit letters that they feel demean or degrade women (i.e., Is the backhand or open-palm slap more appropriate to rejection of my demands for a2m?). Reliably, they raise their highballs in tribute to Miss Manners when it comes to the fairer sex.
Somehow, Mary Katherine Ham has unlocked the savage beast pulsing beneath the pink, popped collars of Playboy’s pansy porn editors.
I only had a subscription once off Amazon when it was like $14 for a year. It was not renewed when I discovered that they gave more pages to interviews with Keith Olbermann than to their centerfolds. Still, the biggest gash I’ve seen in print.

Don’t forget that Playboy has always been sexist, as have its consumers, so really this is sort of fake outrage. She’s very careful to skip over the other parts of the outrage, like the fact that they thought it would be cool to list a group of Republican women it might be fun to rape.

Until then, there’s no need to visit or read his stuff. My RSS reader is full of secondary, but decent blogs that I simply don’t have time to read, except for a quick glance at the post titles. Sometimes not even that. I refuse to waste my time reading a site that’s banned my favorite writer.
To do so would seem…in bad form.

Banning should be banned entirely. You ban someone and they just wear a banned aide, come back under a different nick name, squat and pee.
