FBI Busts 4 Muslim Prison Converts [Dan Collins]

who planned on bombing synagogues and shooting down a military transport. One was a Haitian national.

According to this article, FBI agents posed as Pakistanis with ties to al-Qaeda and set the four up with fake bombs and a fake anti-aircraft missile.

Obama makes a speech on Guantanamo and related matters today, his initiative to close it having been dashed in the Senate. Timing questioning may begin. Dick Cheney addresses the same issues at the same time, but in a different (disclosed) location, obviously.

Fausta has more on the Stinger Sting

Carin has more to add:

Now that all the artistic energy in the United States is focused on fellating the One, we can thankfully say good-bye to all the moralizing movies and commentary from our Hollywood betters.

But, for those of you who who voted because you were against the War? Sorry. Obama wasn’t really serious about that stuff. The guys aren’t coming home any earlier. Gitmo? He’ll get back to you. Wiretaps and the Patriot Act? BTW, those are legal and necessary.

No, the change is that Obama is a statist. He’s working on taking all the power away from the little people (who keep fucking it up, apparently) and giving it those super-smart people in the Federal Government. Banks. Auto Industry. Cap and Trade. Health Insurance. Giving control of these things, to the Federal Government (for our own good, you know) is one step closer to Fascism. You can refuse to see it, but that just makes you dense.

We tried to follow the founding father’s ideas about limiting the power of the Federal Government long enough, apparently. Now it’s time for a “Constitutional Lawyer” President to throw that all away, in the biggest power grab since FDR.

Jules has up an excellent post on this, and it turns out that Cheney’s going to speak directly after Obama, an attempt at pre-emption on O!s part that may come back to haunt him.

Just what we need, al Qaeda in our prisons. What could go wrong? It is like an especially scary episode of Oz. Thanks but no thanks.

Obama is simply another focus group poll driven prima donna with no real character, priniciples, or actual integrity…

But then, who here didn’t know that…

The tell, as Carin put it, is that although the same things are still going on, suddenly all of the high visibility masters of Dissent! aren’t as Outraged! by them…

Biggest bunch of hypocrites since the Pharisees…

  4. It’s a good thing all cultures are equally valid and enriching, else this jihad news could really harsh my mellow.

  5. Salt Lick says:

…Dick Cheney will speak on the exact same topic moments after Obama finishes.

Cheney will no doubt adapt his remarks, impromptu, to Obama’s rehearsed telepromter speech. The contrast will be devastating.

Rally ’round Dick Cheney! Jeff Goldstein for Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts!

  6. JD says:

Cheney has been scheduled for this gig for a while. Must be a pure coinkydink that Teh One, in the face of all of his decisions that validate the Bush positions that he so mendoucheously ran against, now suddenly wants to give a talk about how he is validating the Bush policies right before Cheney points that out.

  7. Merovign says:

Now it makes sense, why they want to move Gitmo detainees to the main prison population.

Take whatever makes sense, and the left will invert it.

Bammy seems to be running late. Good thing Cheney has all day.

Why would anyone have any problem ceding control of formerly personal decisions to the wise Al Franken, ethical Barney Frank and principled Nancy Pelosi. Whatever is the matter with you people?!

Poor Hussein, he even gets power grabs backassward. Yesterday, in another attempt to make Bush look bad and us less safe, the Kenyan Kid Killer, accidentally restored a number of rights to states. Apparently, rebuking Bushco’s policy of preemption was a cheap shot he just couldn’t pass up.
Under the decider, agency heads would routinely announce that their new regulations would preempt state law even before the wording of those regulations was finalized. Dickie G used preemption to restrict the degree to which states could allocate money given to it by Congress for children’s health insurance and to prevent states from regulating emission standards, prohibit states from suing drug companies and interfered in state roofing regulations. Yesterday, that all ended when our left-handed overlord gave states the green light to retroactively un-bone themselves. What a thug!

LtC John – The idea of alfuckingfranken, SanFranNan, and Bawney Frank telling anyone how to live their lives should terrify even sammy, alphie, and cynn.

    Obama’s speech is done.

Looks like he still wants to import these guys into the United States.

  14. Pablo says:

The “toughest single issue,” he says, will be deciding what to do with those who can’t be prosecuted but pose a clear danger to the American people. Because that remains a problem, he says he expects a slew of 30-second TV ads “designed to frighten the American people.”

Tell us about the rule of law, Baracky! Bad boys, bad boys…

  15. Pablo says:

    Unfortunately, he’s still yapping, SBP.

I’ve heard from several sources, both Obama and Joe Biden led the crack team that brought these men down. Obama’s caterer apparently suffered a flesh wound while making an arugala salad.

Wait, I forgot one: Black Muslim “philosophy”–anti-Semitic, anti-white, and anti-American–is a legitimate reaction to historic prejudice. It’s not dangerous, and if you say it is, you’re a racist.
