Obama Keeps Campaign Promise [Dan Collins]

Next question: to where should they be redeployed?

Three and a half years after Hurricane Katrina, the National Guard is pulling the last of its troops out of New Orleans this weekend, leaving behind a city still desperate and dangerous. Residents long distrustful of the city’s police force are worried they will have to fend for themselves.

“I don’t know if crime will go up after these guys leave. But I know a lot more of us will be packing our own pieces now to make sure we’re protected,” said Calvin Stewart, owner of a restaurant and store.

But Jethro Jindal, not Obama, is commander-in-chief of the national cajun calvary.

  2. Dan Collins says:

Desperate and dangerous. New Orleans has been returned to the status quo ante.

  3. alppuccino says:

But Jethro Jindal, not Obama, is commander-in-chief of the national cajun calvary.

It’s about time somebody said it. Because you’d never know by the behavior of Governor What’s-her-name and Ray (Y’all-my-niggas) Nagin before, during and after Katrina. Good on ya thor!

How many hyphens do I have left?

  4. thor says:

    Blanco!

And Jindal is no blanco, amigo!

  5. alppuccino says:

    Amen to that mon frere!

  6. Bob Reed says:

Send ‘sm to the Mexican border, it’s gettin’ pretty hot there these days and the outgunned police could use the back-up…

And as far as Nawlinz goes? I’ve been there more times than I can count; it’s one of my favorite US cities. That said, it has always ben a bit sketchy; the kind of place where you definately need to keep your wits about you…

  7. Bob Reed says:

Oh, and the whole Katrina-is-Booooooosh!s-fault thing; a patent fantasy of those who wish to cover up the indecisive nature of former Governor-what’s-her-name, and the willfull disregard of forecasted danger warnings by Mayor Nagin…

    Another inconvenient truth…

I wonder why the one! lightworker didn’t include any money in the spendulus bill to further rebuild Nawlinz..?

‘Cuz he’s not down with the, Jethro!, Hickbilly!, Cajun!, Crackaz! and their outsourced Governor…

    RACIST!

    O!

  8. McGehee says:

While most people may associate the name Jethro with the “Beverly Hillbillies,” these days there’s another Jethro in populaqr culture, who smacks people upside the head and takes names.*

So calling Jindal “Jethro” may not be the insult some people think it is.

  9. Bob Reed says:

He’s just insecure because Jindal is a first generation American born of real immigrants; an patriot who actually loves America, without first having to transform her into a socialist workers paradise…

Unlike the one! lightworker whose merely the bastard offspring of an African sojurning here to get a free education, and his up-and-coming internationalistshack-up-momma who was oh-so-much-more-cosmopolitan-and-worldly for having had a son out of wedlock with a foreign black man…

Not like, you know, all of the other hickbilly cracker whitebread girls she grew up with who settled for their Jethros, who stuck around to raise their kids, and chose to have legitimate family lives…

  10. Spies, Brigands, and Pirates says:

Jindal was a Rhodes Scholar, and (unlike Blowbama) has held an actual job before.

  11. Bob Reed says:

    Excellent point, SBP…

Of course, the Rhodes Scholar fellowship is only meaninful when a Democrat displays it as a mark of intellectual prowess…

  12. […] Dan Collins ask, “to where should they be redeployed” which was quickly answered by Thor, “But Jethro Jindal, not Obama, is commander-in-chief of the national cajun calvary.”  Correct, I’m not really sure where the usually clear and concise Collins was going with that one, but its the post that set my hamster turning. man was lee remick hot in that movie

  14. Once again, the Reign of O! is doing wonders for one segment of the economy, firearms and ammo sales…

Nawlins will be lucky if crime doesn’t double…
