Thought experiments…

Or, as Obama supporters like to call them, RACIST SMEARS IN THE FORM OF XENOPHOBIC, ANTIESTABLISHMENTARIANIST “HYPOTHETICALS”.

This one simple account does so much to unravel Obama’s web of lies about his knowledge of the views of those with whom he routinely associated that it is essential, in the eyes of many in the mainstream press, that it be, if not surpressed, than deemed un-newsworthy.

Quite a stretch, that, when tanning beds and the provenance of the vagina Trig Palin exited from are considered legitimate lines of inquiry.

    RACIST!

The Los Angeles Times is making the wrong decision to not release the tape they have I think. That’s not very good journalism. If they’re scared they should know that Baracky can’t hurt them for releasing it cause they have rights under the Constitution to publish things like that.

Since the LA Times claims to have obtained a copy of the video, who has the original, who sent a copy to the Times, and why?

Truthfully…nothing surprises me anymore, and at this point, I don’t think it would matter. Most, if not all, of the left is so enamored with Obama that anything and everything can, and is, minimalized. And, of course, if that doesn’t work, they’ve always got that “race” card to fall back on.

How can the mainstream-media still considered itself as journalism? It should be filed under “entertainment” as there is little more truth found there than in the Supermarket tabloids…

#2 HP… oh….. it is legal/ constitutional now. But in a few months?

I’ve gone from shock to disgust to despair when it comes to the media. I’m now turning the corner toward determination. The MSM has completely let us down and can never be trusted again. Therefore, there must be an alternative that is both a) safe from the clutches of the loony left, and b) accessible to the general population, even those who typically pay little attention to politics.

I still think McCain could win this thing, though.

  7. terran says:

    Puck,

I firmly believe that McCain can, and will win this thing, though it will be close. Perhaps I have too much faith in people to be able to see through the smokescreen, but I have to believe that most Americans don’t buy into this.

My biggest fear are those who just vote the party line because they always have, and those voters who rise from their graves once every 4 years to cast a vote. It truly is amazing how so many can communicate from beyond the grave when an election rolls around.

happyfeet, they have a Constitutional right to publish (for now), but they have no Constitutional right to the White House press room, or interviews with the Administration. They can be cut off, as that station in Florida was. They’re as scared of being frozen out as Colin Powell.

Greg Gutfeld has a somewhat less nuanced take on that angle:

… I’m just saying that when it comes to the media, he possesses that impenetrable force field that every hot chick has – and no matter what you say or do to convince obsessed fans otherwise – it won’t work. Face it: if you found out that your new girlfriend, who happened to be Megan Fox – worked with Acorn, hung around with Ayers, and used to do coke back in college – would you care?

Of course you wouldn’t! It’s Megan Fox!!!

Congratulations: you’re now the New York Times.

The spam filter must not have liked the link to Greg’s website, I guess.

The Constitution? Fundamentally flawed. Baracky will fix it.

As a daily reader of the LAT I just marvel at how they manage to fill an entire publication with “news” every day without ever accidently slipping and writing anything negative or critical of Democrats. If the Democrats control everything for the next few years the poor LAT writers will have to pretty much avoid the subject of politics altogether.

  14. Bob Reed says:

If the CW is accepting of the old adage that “The truth shall sey you free”, then this [in]action by the LA Times is meant to keep a major portion of the electorate, at least Jewish voters and other supporters of Israel, in bondage for some time to come…

But I mean, to do otherwise would be Racist!-non…?

  15. McGehee says:

I cannot help but be amazed at how many people in this country are willing to accept not merely being lied to, but lied to in a way that openly and proudly insults their intelligence, and they will vote for the people who do it, and thank them for the opportunity.

On CNN today I saw where O! is claiming we’re in the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. I must have missed where the unemployment rate was over 25%.

  16. Carin says:

McGehee, things are so bad up here in Michigan, they’re using McCain signs as currency at a pizza joint.

Wanna call and order your pizza? ’cause their phone number is 586 574 0023.

    Just saying.

#17 Similar to the Heinlein quote from To Sail Beyond the Stars about democracy falling apart when the electorate learns it can vote to pay itself.

  19. lee says:

Question: Is there any chance — any chance — the Times would not release the tape and publish front-page story after story about the gory details,

    Thought experiment?

Around here we call that a rhetorical question.

  20. Jeffersonian says:

You racists just don’t understand that The Exalted One’s alliances with Afro-marxists, Weathermen and jihad-crazed Jew haters is just a sign of how nimble his mind is. He’s surrounded himself with these sociopaths because he wants to stay on his toes, intellectually-speaking.

  21. Mikey NTH says:

Any bets on how well-received any dissenters will be under an Obama Administration?
And if they can keep Helen Thomas going, any guesses what her questions to an Obama press secretary will be like?

  22. mojo says:

…who has the original, who sent a copy to the Times, and why?

Vinnie “Cement Shoes” Riggatoni, his girlfriend Velma. Because she was pissed.

  23. Spiny Norman says:

    Heh-heh.

I was figuring someone in the Hillary campaign, to discredit Barry, but if that were the case, I’d think the PUMAs would make it public by now.
