A great review of what appears to be an exciting book by possibly the best war reporter alive. I don’t know the publisher, Richard Vigilante Books, but please support them if you can, and make the big names wish it were theirs. And, if you haven’t seen it yet, don’t forget JD Johannes’s Outside the Wire, more than halfway to surpassing Redacted‘s box office gross.
Dissident Frogman’s Obama campaign poster. (h/t Beth)
Friday Night Cool: Giant Steps
Faint praise, that. If views were dollars, my Youtube videos would be in the running to surpass Redacted.
Michael Yon should be requieed reading for every student in the country. Of all the reports I have read about the Iraq war, his appear to be the most honest. He is an amazing man and an honest reporter, not shying away from the truth because of an agenda. And if you haven’t already done so, his “tip jar” is a worthy one to hit.
But, of course, “required reading” of Mr. Yon’s brilliant work won’t happen. It is prohibited in our public schools to assign any reading that doesn’t fit “the narrative” of “We suck-ism”.
Been reading M Yon for a couple years and just got my signed copy of the book. I’ve probably already read most things in it on his blog, but it will be interesting to see how he strings them together and, perhaps, relates actions and consequences – progress and failure.
I find it interesting what a different picture is painted by Yon, Totten, Roggio, and Ardilino, than we see in the MSM.
I guess you had to be there.
It’s Friday! Where’s the damn ‘dillo?
Cheers!

Oh, it’s a ChrisP critter, you think?

Along with Zell Miller and Tom Delay.
Why the Bush Administration hasn’t mandated a pro-war reading list in every school in the country is a mystery. If we don’t require kids to read a pro-war narrative, the Islamofascists will have won.
PSSSSSST! Somebody peed in KarlR’s Cheerios this morning.

Ah, poor KarlR.
Really bothers you guys that you’re losing control of Teh Narrative, doesn’t it?
