Dems 2008: Are Clintonites suppressing the vote in NC? [Karl]

Like Michelle Malkin, I have been remiss in flagging the story about Women’s Voices Women Vote — a group with more ties to Hillary Clinton than Barack Obama –making robocalls and mailings in North Carolina that left many wondering whether they were registered for the primary or not.

WVWV’s Obama supporters, like William McNary and Glenn Smith, have claimed the issue is one of incompetence, not malice.  But the Institute for Southern Studies has turned up other complaints about the group as well, in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin.

There are two amusing asides to this story.  First, the NPR story linked above was reported in collaboration with Will Evans of the Center for Investigative Reporting, which is funded by George Soros.  Yet one of the primary Clintonites involved with WVWV is John Podesta of the Center for American Progress, which is funded by George Soros.

Second, at “The Moderate Voice,” Shaun Mullen grouses that “a virulent anti-feminist like Michelle Malkin” would use his stuff.  Tolerant moderate that he is, Mullen refers to the “white cracker establishment” in North Carolina in the very same post.  Mullen is that special brand of moderate who recently called former Sen. Phil Gramm a terrorist, but seems rather unconflicted about having harbored a fugitive member of the Weather Underground back in the day.

There is nothing moderate about “The Moderate Voice.” Maybe the volume, but that’s about it.

That NPR is so comfortable tooling its propaganda in service of the Baracky campaign without fear of alienating any major part of its donor base says a lot about how more and more upscale their audience is I think.

here’s more patronizing schlock from them today…

Well, I, myself, am somewhat amused that the left is finally stripping naked for all the world to see.

    Great body, no brain…

Given the Dems prediliction for seeking judicial redress in election matters, could Soros versus Soros be the Jarndyce v Jarndyce of the twenty-first century.

I vote for Karl to do the Dickens on the case.

The only time I listen to NPR is when I’m traveling cross-country by car. My car only has a radio, and NPR is everywhere. The audience is definitely upper-crust liberals, real or wanna-be.

    Suppressing? Sounds like harrassing…each other…

This story has been widely discredited, and I am surprised some are still “picking it up” as if it is new or accurate. Not only do prominent Obama supporters sit on the Board, but the activities of this clumsy group relate to the general election, not primaries. There’s simply no story here – except for the devotion of some to engage in character destruction at all costs.

  9. Binkis1 says:

Actually, this story has a long history of being true and proven to suppress by confusion. The group was admonished in Michigan and Florida and just apologised as if it were an innocent mistake…sound familiar — Kinda like the “Bubba” excuse used for 16years by the clintons…This is just another of the dirty tricks in the carpetbag. The general election lie goes to the innocent excuse and does not hold water.

Destroying Baracky’s character now will save everybody lots of moneys and pain later, bobbank. Good thing he makes it so easy.
