Any parent sending their kid to this public school<\/a> is complicit with child abuse.<\/p>\n

A Nebraska school district has instructed its teachers to stop referring to students by \u201cgendered expressions\u201d such as \u201cboys and girls,\u201d and use \u201cgender inclusive\u201d ones such as \u201cpurple penguins\u201d instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t use phrases such as \u2018boys and girls,\u2019 \u2018you guys,\u2019 \u2018ladies and gentlemen,\u2019 and similarly gendered expressions to get kids\u2019 attention,\u201d instructs a training document given to middle-school teachers at the Lincoln Public Schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cCreate classroom names and then ask all of the \u2018purple penguins\u2019 to meet on the rug,\u201d it advises.<\/p>\n

he document also warns against asking students to \u201cline up as boys or girls,\u201d and suggests asking them to line up by whether they prefer \u201cskateboards or bikes\/milk or juice\/dogs or cats\/summer or winter\/talking or listening.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlways ask yourself . . . \u2018Will this configuration create a gendered space?<\/strong>\u2019\u201d the document says.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I’m wondering if Lincoln public schools are going to make all gender inclusive kidlets use the same restrooms, locker rooms and showers? <\/p>\n

Since gender is irrelevant and all. <\/p>\n

If teachers still find it \u201cnecessary\u201d to mention that genders exist at all<\/strong>, the document states, they must list them as \u201cboy, girl, both or neither.\u201d<\/p>\n

Furthermore, it instructs teachers to interfere and interrupt if they ever hear a student talking about gender in terms of \u201cboys and girls\u201d so the student can learn that this is wrong.

\n\u201cPoint out and inquire when you hear others referencing gender in a binary manner,\u201d it states. \u201cAsk things like . . . \u2018What makes you say that? I think of it a little differently.\u2019 Provide counter-narratives that challenge students to think more expansively about their notions of gender.\u201d […]<\/p>\n
