Question: Do we have any ‘good’ moves anymore in this thing? Did we ever? Arming the Saudis could bite us in the ass very quick-like. But not arming the Saudis more or less guarantees they will be armed by the Russians or the Chinese. It makes me glad on one level that I don’t have to make these decisions. That does not make me any less troubled about the implications. Statement: The buildup with Iran and the coming conflict is viewed as inevitable at this point. Secondary Question: Is it really? Can such an inevitability make all of our plays bad ones? Bryan seems to think so.
Nuke Mecca? Bad Idea.
Treasury member Ejaz Chaudhry said US was not friend of any one. ” We will teach the lesson to US if it dares to come forward to attack upon us. Americans are coward nation and they can do nothing. Army should not target their brethren. US aid is like killer disease AIDS We curse it. The whole nation does not want US aid. Those who are targeting humanity and justice are terrorists. Those who are engaged in freedom war are freedom fighters. US ship is close to sink. It is hurling threats like a coward.
He demanded president and prime minister should stop holding any talk with junior US officials like Richard Boucher. “If US dared to hatch unholy conspiracy to attack Makkah and Medina then one billion Muslims will become suicide bombers and I will also be among them”, he added.
Question: Doesn’t this more or less assume or admit that the ’silent’ Muslims are radicals waiting for the stakes to get high enough? That they’re ’sleeper cells’ of a sort? I’ve never gotten that impression from Muslims I’ve known… How could this spokesperson know the response of a billion people beforehand? A pious exaggeration, no doubt. I imagine it going something like this:
Leader: They’ve nuked Makkah! We must all take up arms against them! We will all die gloriously for Allah! Bring out the bomb vests!
Ummah: Yeah, uh, we love Allah and all, but, um, could we perhaps try option #2? You know, rebuild Makkah?
Leader: What?! You dare go against the will of God? No one shall, God willing! Now, who shall be the first among the most honored?
Ummah: Um, yeah, call us next week. We’ll get back to you on that one…
Tanc’s ‘Nuke Mecca’ was mostly an empty threat, as is this response. In regards to the Secret Art of War, we might call this 6 followed by 7.
Maybe what we need is a Chinese Buffet, instead?

Tancredo is a farce. I liked him better the first time around when he was called B-1 Bob. He was better on tv anyway.
