That does not make me any less troubled about the implications. Statement: The buildup with Iran and the coming conflict is viewed as inevitable at this point. Secondary Question: Is it really? Question: Doesn’t this more or less assume or admit that the ’silent’ Muslims are radicals waiting for the stakes to get high enough? That they’re ’sleeper cells’ of a sort? I’ve never gotten that impression from Muslims I’ve known… How could this spokesperson know the response of a billion people beforehand? A pious exaggeration, no doubt. I imagine it going something like this:
Leader: They’ve nuked Makkah! We must all take up arms against them! We will all die gloriously for Allah! Bring out the bomb vests!
Ummah: Yeah, uh, we love Allah and all, but, um, could we perhaps try option #2? You know, rebuild Makkah?
Leader: What?! You dare go against the will of God? No one shall, God willing! Now, who shall be the first among the most honored?
Ummah: Um, yeah, call us next week. We’ll get back to you on that one…

Maybe what we need is a Chinese Buffet, instead?

Tancredo is a farce. I liked him better the first time around when he was called B-1 Bob. He was better on tv anyway.
