Nine Republicans voted FOR Cap and Trade

which just passed, 219-212. I see only 8 listed. Kick the bums out in 2010.

Republicans voting AYE:

John McHugh, New York 23rd District. From his website…”ninth consecutive term in office.

During this time, Rep. McHugh has been a champion of fiscal responsibility; lower taxes; protecting Social Security and Medicare; providing stronger, better schools; and protecting America’s farmers. He has also been a leader in the country’s policy on national defense.

Frank A. LoBiondo, New Jersey 2nd District. Ugh. ly. New Jersey, the armpit of America.

Chris Smith, New Jersey 4th District. “Smith has represented the citizens of New Jersey’s Fourth Congressional District since 1981, when he was sworn into office at the age of 27. Throughout his 28 years of service, he has established himself as one of the hardest-working, most compassionate and dedicated members of the House.” He’s been there too long. Time for a boot.

Dave Reichart, Washington (St) 8th District. “Dave is committed to working in a bipartisan fashion with his colleagues in the House of Representatives to find viable solutions based on sound scientific practices that reach a balance between protecting our precious natural resources and providing economic growth in our nation.” Way to go, Dave, you freakin’ idiot. Hope you wind up booted in 2010.

Mark Steven Kirk, Illinois 10th District.  “Mark Kirk represents the 10th Congressional District of Illinois located in the suburbs north of Chicago.

Now in his fifth term, Congressman Kirk is a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee and is co-chairman of the moderate GOP Tuesday Group and the bipartisan House US-China Working Group.

In Congress, Congressman Kirk works to advance a suburban agenda that is pro-defense, pro-personal responsibility, pro-environment, and pro-science.
” Must be too close to the Chicago Machine to dare cross Obama. Horse’s head, maybe?

Mike Castle, DelawareMike Castle is currently serving a record ninth term as Delaware’s lone Member in the House of Representatives. Since coming to Congress in 1993, he has worked to bring the common-sense approach of Delaware’s bipartisan legislating to Washington, D.C. He has been building bridges and forming coalitions to find pragmatic, bipartisan solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing the country and believes strongly in returning the Congressional agenda to issues that really matter to the American people.” Well, you certainly have a bipartisan record, Mike. Hope you are thrown out in 2010.

Leonard Lance New Jersey, 7th District. Wait, we already had a NJ Rep, Chris Smith. Are these guys twins? “Congressman Leonard Lance was elected to the United States House of Representatives in November 2008 to represent New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. The 7th Congressional District includes parts of Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset and Union Counties.

Prior to coming to Congress, Lance served as a member of the New Jersey State Senate beginning in 2002, where he represented the 23rd Legislative District. He held the position of Minority Leader of the Senate from 2004 to 2008.

Lance was sworn in as a Member of Congress on January 6, 2009 and was appointed to the House Financial Services Committee, where he will work on a wide range of issues relating to the financial services sector and the American economy. ” A newcomer, who hopefully won’t return.

Mary Bono Mack, California 45th District.  Wait…Bono…yep, this turdlet was married to Sonny Bono. Mary didn’t start using the Bono name until after Sonny Bono died. “In 1998, Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack was first elected to serve the people of California’s 45th District through a special election held to fill the seat left vacant by her late husband, The Honorable Sonny Bono. Since then, Bono Mack has established herself as a leader on such issues as clean, alternative energy, protecting the environment, improving health care, and protecting consumers.” Protecting which consumers? Maybe the ones who pay taxes should’ve been on your agenda, Mary!

And, California. Who knew?

There you go. Have at ‘em.

Target these turncoats for voting out of office. Write letters to RNCC demanding that either they support a different, new, candidate in the primary and definately NO cash nor support in any way be sent their way for the 2010 contest…

    I’m pissed!

You pays your money, you takes your chances. I’d think focusing on weak democrat aye voters in red-ish, redder or reddest districts would pay better dividends, particularly if there is any energy production component that may be harmed by the bill in those districts.

I regard every one of these idiots as traitors to their party, and more importantly to the American people. They have no business being Republicans. That sort of thing goes over big in the other party.

Motherf.uckers! I am pissed off. Traitors. How could anybody be so f…ing stupid to vote for this wreck of our country? The senate will not pass this garbage. Another bill unread. We have to unload these professional politicians. At least there were no red state defectors. I wish we could form Texamerica and unload those northeastern losers. That idiot Lance is not from a liberal hotbed. Those counties tend to be conservative. He is going to get reamed for this. Where are we finding this garbage in the republican party? NJ is in bad shape and this will make it a very expensive place to live. Those idiots in NY and NJ clearly will pay for heating oil in the winter and they can blame the morons that want this crap and trade. This is a bill for those that believe the world is flat. They also want to stop Americans from building business. China has 4 billion superb laborers. While obama and these out of control morons continue to tax and borrow and spend, most of our largest companies now have a big Asian presence. They don’t have to take this garbage from these politicians anymore and they are moving to superior labor markets. Ask any large multinational about China. They love it. The scale the sized of it is stunning. China is not pissing money away on windmills, they are building nuclear power plants and big industrial infrastructure. They are thinking big while in this country they are forcing all Americans to line up an apologize. China has the biggest steel mills and they use lots of energy. We sell them our largest coke furnaces, ones we don’t even use in the USA. Everything in this country is scaling down and apologizing. We had krap for choices in the last election. mccain is selling us out in the senate along with other liberals. He was a loser. He got caught and the only thing he was very good at was being a POW. He could do nothing for a long time. That is not a hero to me. Heroes don’t get captured, they fight to the death. I say go out like a man or eat bugs and worship your captors. mccain was trained to cave in to his captors. He has no spine. You can’t get past his programming and the republicans ran this f..k for president. If this keeps up, I am running for congress.

This is sickening that our country will be a third world nation and a completely socialized country because people refuse to learn what is going on. Thank you to all of you who think the government is the answer. Our Great Founders have to be furious with what we did with everything they died for. All I know I’m looking for a part of the world that doesn’t and won’t let this happen. I will take the 20 cents on the dollar for my assets to leave all of you to go down just like the Old Soviet Union did. (thanks to Ronny) All of you who voted for that piece of work in the White House, I hope you rot in Hell with all of the other criminals. You just released total chaos across the world. Thanks for being so informed and voting on Character, His associations, His NON-Accomplishments, His true beliefs (yes you had to do homework), and for you not doing your own due diligence by being a cow and walking out to pasture to vote for a communistic person like Obama. Costa Rica might be the place to be.

REPLY—–> Good idea unfortunately they don’t care if they did they wouldn’t have voted in favour of this sinking ship. We’re doomed folks. Obama is a steam roller and he’s having a blast running over the decent people of our country. Our hands are tied for the next 4 years. Can you imagine if he’s achieved this much in just 6 months what’s going to become of us in four years, or eight years when acorn puts hime back in office? I can’t believe all of this is happening. It’s terrible to feel this helpless when Obama is having his way with our country. Remember it’s not his country, he wasn’t born here.

we are not doomed for four years, we have to take back the house in 2010 get the word out, the damage is done but we have to turn it around and make it work for our advantage. people will realise that this is not change we need and passing this cap and trade is just another way of playing kissy kissy with other countrys. so all the right and middle have to get out and vote and have a complete change in the house or clean house as it was. we need to get not only the majority back but we need a whole new jeneration in there out with the old.

The dumbocrats are showing their true colors. They do not have the interest of the people. This will end badly with a tragic division of our country. The followers of the Obamanation will be shocked in the end. When people like me start to get into the conversation things are being noticed and we are getting engaged. We shall restore the republic! We are the people!

The turncoats who voted for this bill are done…..

We did it in 1776 we will do it again! Its just a matter of time now… God Bless America!

  33. Comment by Leah on 6/27 @ 2:12 pm #

Here are the names of Republicans who did not even bother to vote on this Bill: Jeff Flake (R-Arizona) and John Sullivan (R-Oklahoma). They are just as guilty as the other 8 Republicans who voted for the Bill. While I do think is important to express are outrage to these individuals and to the National Republican Party. We need to call our Senators and demand that they vote against any Cap and Trade Bill that comes to the Senate.

  34. Comment by Benedetta Stilwell on 6/27 @ 2:12 pm #

For years the whole nation has picked on the people living in the eastern mountains. They want these people out so (they) can walk the Applacian trail as if it was way back in the 1600s. Where else except Alaska does the rest of the United States make sure there is no progress. The government has made policies that kept all industry out; forest service bought up all the farm land as people left the first time to find work (so they could not ever return), and now if only they could shut down the one last thing- the coal industry. AND in case that don’t work the government is willing to freeze the few people left. It is not the Mexicans coming to your cities soon, but a second wave of Hill Billies. AHHHHH My tax dollars at work! At work againest me.

  35. Comment by Roger on 6/27 @ 3:10 pm #

A few years ago there was a million man march in DC. I wonder what our government would do if they saw a million men marching to DC with rifles in hand.

  36. Comment by Lordrobot on 6/27 @ 4:53 pm #

Comment 22 is a perfect example of a moron. This idiocy passed by just one vote not four votes. You won the anger of the people. First off nobody that voted for this thing read it. Only an idiot could celebrate such an uninformed vote. In fact, that should be unlawful. But to celebrate something as a “win” when you the citizen don’t even know what the bill contains is idiocy. Most of us in the South have natural gas fired generators. We all have too few nuclear plants. But the north east and midwest have coal fired generators and those utility bills will triple. This bill was designed to kill the coal industry, the one fossil fuel for which America has a five hundred year supply.

This thing will never pass the senate. Senate Democrats in the midwest have no shade from the liberal california tree where they have rolling brown outs. Plus, most of the power plants in California are natural gas fired and they have to buy the gas from red states. This idiot bill includes natural gas in the tax. So good luck blue state liberals when your power bills triple this fall. Also with all the reckless spending by that black azzhole oil and gas will become a hedge against inflation and it will skyrocket. Crap and trade only guarantees a runaway futures market and huge cost to the consumer and a derailing of the recovery. Yes there is a great deal to celebrate by poster #22. But the timing will be pretty good. It will be 2010 and people will get pretty sick of five dollar a gallon gasoline, and heating oil up 500% and an endless recession with no end in sight, ala jimmy carter. Americans will then go to the polls and liberals will be turned away.

In California things have gotten so bad that they may just turn away all the lifelong professional politicians. It is that bad. Unemployment is 12%, housing is all underwater. Businesses have shut down and tax revenues are underwater. This is the state that brings you pelosi, boxer, feinstein, waxman, stark, walters and others that are wrecking our country. Just remember, the red states own the oil and natural gas. Meanwhile, NY and NJ industry collapse. When their utility bills triple, they will not be able to stay in business. The senate will never pass this. There aren’t enough arlin spectors or idiot womnen from maine that will push this through but there are plenty of bluedog southern democrats that will never insult their constituents with garbage like this. This is just the beginning of barry sotorro’s problems. This is why he is trying to rush everything through at the same time. His popularity is dropping like a rock but I think this bill is perfect for the rise of republicans. Although I would caution that our lifelong professional politicians like mccain are no better than liberal lifelong professional politicians like kerry.

I’m sure it’s a far stretch to assume that post 22 is a Democrat. I don’t think your 3rd grade mentality will still be so joyous as you mature and see the sorrow that this bill will create. Politicians are sickening and you can at least understand their insatiable thirst for greed and power. How does an American citizen truly enjoy the destruction of us all?

  41. Comment by Steve Malloy on 6/27 @ 10:08 pm #

It’s time to march on DC and drag these bastards out from under their desk and REMOVE them from office forever. Term limits, reduce their salaries and benefits, and no retirement. Who the hell is working for who here. I don’t care if your left or right, if we don’t stop this madness soon there will be nothing left. This bill will kill America just like healthcare and the stimulous. But that is just what these traitors want. It is time to stand up people, 1 million people in DC would put an end to all of this crap. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves right now because we have become a nation of whimps. They work for us, it’s time to fire them.

#23 obama hasn’t accomplished much in the last 6 months. The stimulus package has been shown up as a total ineffective fraud. There is 50 billion of lost unaccounted for money. In my state they gave money to a group of doctor to work on the electronic medical record. Only problem was the entire project was dismantled over a year ago. So the doctors, who should go to jail, are holding the money and trying to get bill nelson the crooked professional politician from Florida to write in a bill attachment so that they money can be allocated to other projects to fill the pockets of other so called “medical PR organizations.” It is all crooked. That money should have been sent back directly to the Gov. Those doctors that kept it should go to jail. I wrote Pelosi about this and one of her staff said she did not respond to voters outside her district in California. I wrote to other and got the same reply.

Secondly obama is pure bi polar. He has all the symptoms. Without the teleprompter he is a bumbling idiot.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omHUsRTYFAU

being bipolar he can’t focus on one thing, he is scattered around doing everything in a scattered way. Look at foreign policy. He is lost. He is a void, an empty suit. This void has allowed pelosi to run the country and that vision is warped liberal insanity. But it can and will be undone in the 2010 election if Michael Steele can purify the party and encourage good conservative candidates to run. I want to see people like Jack Welch run, and John T. Chambers, Carly Fiorina, people with real lives real backgrounds and real ability. We have to rid ourselves of the retreads.

I also think that we have to repudiate george bush. He was bad for the party. He was a big gov liberal that brought you an unfunded medicare drug benefit, SARBOX, homeland security, the patriot Act, TARP, he wanted amnesty for illegal immigrants instead of a boot out of the country. He got us into a protracted long distance war which is not for Republicans. Look at history of protracted wars: WWI Wilson, WWII FDR, Korea Truman, Vietnam JFK, LBJ, Iraq Bush II, obama, Afghanistan obama. Plus by keeping cheney on who is basically smart but unlikable with a heart held together with duct tape, bush left a void for the party leadership in 2008. Who rises… mccain of all people, a guy that could not debate obama because they both agreed on everything. Our party is weak because Bush spent like a drunken sailor. Granted that Obama is spending to the point of alcohol toxicity but the point is that republicans core values were not present in Bush. Bush’s war on terrorism ended up being a war on Americans. Go to the Airport and get molested by low life thugs that search you. A grandmother has her shampoo taken away from her. And there is no provision to return this property. Day after day they take citizen’s property and keep it. They can’t tell the difference between some 80 year old grandmother and some muslim terrorist. This is hardly the least invasive way to handle this. Want to end terrorism? Just let Americans that are allowed to carry concealed weapons or wild west side arms in holsters on the aircraft. Americans can defend themselves better than the government. Lock the forward compartment and let crews carry weapons and knock out gas to the passenger compartment if some terrorist situation occurs. Instead grandma gets strip searched and looses her 12 oz bottle of shampoo. And nobody gives it back to her or mails it back to her or allows her to pick it up on her return home.vFurther, republicans don’t smirk, and they don’t double the size of government.

We have to purge our party of the republican of big gov liberals. I think illegals should leave. I think obama’s family members should all be tossed out on their worthless tail. I would give jail time to his aunt for falsification of federal documents in order to obtain government assistance and for contempt due to a flagrant violation of a judicial order.

The cancer is in the party and we know where it is. Steele has to focus on all congressional races and we need to get candidates planted in those regions that can win.

this fraud cap and trade bill will certainly take an untold toll on the u s economy. how could any republican or reasonable person for that matter burden us with this hoax, especially at this time. it will accomplish nothing. china and india arent going to change their ways, no matter how much of a stupid tariff we impose, which will only hurt us further. global warming may be occuring, but its not proven fact. even if, this will accomplish nothing. al gore is to global warming like jane fonda was to nuclear energy. those stupid totally stupid people. any republican that voted for this should be shown the door. democrats, well, their just democrats….

Pelosi has shown the Minority that she can and will be able to not only pass legislation the Left desires but do it and have Republicans take the hit. She made the Republicans peeled away the margin of victory.

This was a signal not an accident. It signaled that she can control her caucus to the extent of manipulating the exact margin of victory and be able to do it at will. She gave 44 blue dog Dems cover and made 8 Republican moderates vulnerable to “conservative” Dems in 2010.

sdferr is right the only counter is to target the Democrats who voted for this and the bills that will come next. Also somehow the Minority needs to hang together, if not they will be picked off as they individually their votes are bought for a given bill.

They need to “just say no” to the horsetrading of votes and instead highlight the payoffs going down.

47 you are wrong. Supporters of the bill needed a simple majority of 218 votes. They got one more vote than they needed. That means that the shamed eight, two of them could have said… the bill was never read and I can’t vote on a bill with all conscious that I have not read.

Further there are 435 congressman. Only 431 votes were cast. So there are four congressman that did not vote.

By any measure this was a close vote. But just remember that eight republicans voted for this mess which is an anti-republican measure. Nobody could even call themselves a republican let alone a moderate by voting for a bill they never read. Only democrats vote for bills like the stimulation package that they never read. Republicans turned it away and rightly so. They should have stuck firm on this one too. If just two of them out of eight had reasoned that they would have plenty of moral cover for not voting on a bill they had not read, this thing would have died.

You give pelosi too much credit. Dick Morris was the architect of the idea you presented. But she gave no cover to the bluedogs. They would be destroyed by their electorate for this. You think Nick Rayhall a bluedog from WV would vote for this cap and trade and destroy the US Coal industry? You think Mollohan of WV a Bluedog would vote against WV coal?

    These are the coal states:

    Montana 120 25.4
    Illinois 78 16.5
    Wyoming 68 14.4
    West Virginia 37 8.0
    Kentucky 30 6.3
    Pennsylvania 29 6.1
    Ohio 19 4.0
    Colorado 17 3.6
    Texas 13 2.7
    Indiana 10 2.1
    Other States 51 10.9
    TOTAL 472 100.0

Illinois a big coal state had democrats: Costello, and Foster voted against. All republicans voted against except kirk the idiot and Rush,Jackson, lipinski, gutierrez, quigley, davis, melisa Bean,Janice Schakowsky, debie halvorson, hare, all voted against the interest of the state of Illinois to destroy Illinois coal.

Pelosi doesn’t give cover to anybody. Republicans should have stuck as a block on the vote based on no opportunity to read it. That is sensible like not signing a contract unless you read it. To sign onto a bill with no idea what is written down is unconscionable conduct. To do such a think seems to me to violate the Constitutional idea of a Republic.

As for the republican traitors, they are marked. Kirk is making excuses and his life has become a living nightmare in just one day. The jerks from NJ had plenty of cover with defecting bluedogs and the rest of republicans noting no. Lance especially comes from a conservative district and he is a lame duck.

PA another big coal state with 13% unemployment had the majority of their dems fall in line behind murtha. No all to be sure. Kathy Dahlkemper, holden did not vote to send PA unemployment to 18%! Also the coal revenues will collapse. And most of PA electrical energy is from coal fired plants. So the utility bills will skyrocket and I don’t think PA businesses can survive. This state is going to flatline.

Colorado a big energy supplying state with oil and coal found the following Dems in favor: Diana degette, Polis, Markey, perlmutter; they should all be hung. Dems rightly opposed were Salazar and the republicans.

Now for some more facts: PA has 40 coal fired power plants. Illinois has 33. Indiana has 31, ohio 35, Michigan has 34, California has 8. So those with coal fire plants will see their monthly power bill triple. Presently 50% of the electrical energy produced in the US is by coal fired plants. Nuclear is about 13%. Compare with France where Nuclear is 85%.

Lets talk China because I love China. They are presently building 32 nuclear plants to be completed by 2020. There are plans to build 300 more by the middle of the century. That’s about equal to all the generating power of all the nuclear plants in the world today. So when you talk about the rise of Asia, you are seeing massive infrastructure dedicated to commerce and industrial production. Their 4 billion hands of outstanding labor will annihilate unions world wide. There will not be any labor intensive industry they can’t command. Plus, Asians are smart so they will really push advanced technology with a workforce that never quits. It is only a matter of time before the US defaults on China and they take Taiwan as collateral.

While libs tax our companies out of existence and convert us into a third world nation with no industry, no manufacturing, no farming, just a big fat government with lots of overhead China is building the colossus economy. Not long ago they sent three astronauts into space while the US scraps space almost entirely. In fact we don’t have enough enriched nuclear material to replace our fleet of aging satellites.

Oh yes, punish the republican traitors and the democrats in those coal states that didn’t read this bill and voted to destroy the economies of the very states they were elected to serve. It is the battle cry of the new republican party. It is our duty to purge those that vote stupidly and those that cheat on their spouses. Those are fundamental issues based on intelligence and character. If you want to build a powerful party you have to have intelligence and character. Intelligence without character is cunning. By the way, the divorce rate in the US is about 60%, last year 60% of the children born in the US were born bstd out of wedlock. The Chinese divorce rate is 0.74% that is less than 1%. They honor their elderly and care for them. Children out of wedlock are less than 1/10 of 1% of births and pressure is applied to the society to reject that conduct. China has no debt is very strong, has a modern military and could deploy 7 million troops. Present troop strength is 3 million strong.

And in case you have not been following the new and scoff, North Korea has an army has an active force of over 1.1 million men and a reserve of 4.8 million. The use has an active force of 1.3 million and reserves of 1.3 million. And if you think Asia doesn’t understand power, the largest armed forces of any country is Vietnam. It has 500K regulars and 4 million reserves and 5 million citizen soldiers. That is 9.5 million.

While the US becomes more chocolate and more mexican, the world shift of power is all Asian. The US is tucking tail and moving rapidly in England’s footsteps to the brink of third world status. You can thank professional politicians that are determined to destroy everything that the greatest generation gave us.

One of the democratic congressmen who voted against this bill said that many walked the plank on this bill for noting because it would never pass the senate. In my previous posts I have mentioned the states that will suffer the most and can least afford it. PA is by far the worst. With 40 coal fired plants and a big coal industry, they will be destroyed by this bill. I can’t imagine elected officials would desert the state economy for a garbage bill like this. Another shocker was Illinois. Democrats except for a couple and kirk a republican voted to see the Illinois coal industry destroyed and they have a large coal fired utility base so their utility bills will triple. What are the people of Illinois thinking. What kind of broken glass do they have in their brains? Are people from Illinois stupid? They have no stake in the politics of barbara boxer or pelosi. Illinois is an agricultural power and manufacturing power although unions have turned the manufacturing base into a rust belt. So maybe it is just a state with people with their hands out, a state of losers. I have no clue what either PA or IL is thinking. They have no clue how important the coal industry is to them and America. But this bill is dedicated to killing the coal industry. The only thing left will be to ship coal to the giant Chinese coke furnaces. But Brazil may already be way ahead on that score.

To think that the one virtually inexhaustible fossil fuel we have in America has been demonized by the idiots of this stupid global warming idiocy. Think about it. The surface temps of Mars have exactly paralleled ours. There are no humans or life as we know it on Mars to which blame can be laid for the surface temp rises. Yet, scientist after scientist points this out but these politicians who apparently don’t read the bills they right are not looking at the facts but just fabricating lies. This isn’t the first time.

Years ago libs were crying about acid rain. They solicited the canadian liberals to accuse businesses in the Mid west of causing acid rain which was causing deformities of frogs. So the junk scientists came out in force showing pictures of frogs growing arms out of their ears and all kinds of deformities. Two years later the scientists discovered that it was not acid rain but simple nematods, small microorganisms causing the natural mutations. But by now the libs had gotten acid rain and pictures of deformed frogs in science school books for children, indoctrinating them into the new world of science farce. The retraction story or the followup story on the nematodes was in very fine print and placed in the back of some newspapers. But laws were passed against the phantom devil acid rain and many midwestern plants shut down forever all over nothing. This is how the idiots operated.

We now have a list of persons that should be heaved from office. Everyone that voted for this needs to be ejected from gov service for lack of intelligence but especially those dopes from PA and IL that were willing to cut the throat of the state’s economies and tried to destroy the coal industry. They have walked the gang plank indeed for nothing. The country has had enough of pelosi and enough of sissyboy obama. We are Americans. We still think big. Our country is big and we want to live big. We don’t need a bunch of guilty self loathing libs telling us to live small so al gore and pelosi and liberal dems can live high. pelosi flies military jets like they are her private airline. Gore has his own personal jet. obama has used Air Force One with complete disregard for efficiency. But you are to ride around in tiny death trap cars. You are to be punished for owning a boat or towing an RV. All this stupid conduct does is destroy industry after industry. Unemployment rises with no end in sight, home foreclosures rise and they keep telling you to apologize for your life. They kill jobs and expand the unproductive government to three times its present size and they increase taxes on businesses. The top 15% of income earners in the US those with $115K up pay 70% of all the tax collected by IRS. 50% of those that work, pay zero taxes. How can this be fair? How can this be fair that obama wants to increase the taxes of the higher earners to 90% of all tax collected. Where is the stake for everyone else? Why should some drunken drugged out loser that gets scraped off the street by Acorn be allowed the same vote as some guy paying taxes for an army of losers. Libs see nothing wrong with this conduct I guess because they don’t pay their taxes anyway.

To LordRobot: Thanks for your posts. Not only are they 100% right on they are so full of good information. Honestly, I am so fearful of what our govt is capable of. I am trying to educate myself so I can manke good choices when I vote. I am just about through with the RNC for this very reason. Are there any honest Republicans left in the party at all. We know that the Democrats are nothing but crybabies (see #22 post) and completely vicious when they don’t get their way. I guess it is hard for Republicans who have a sence of right & wrong to get that ugly to talk that way and when ours go astry (Sanders) we don’t like it much and they are gone! We have to figure out how to get this RNC back in the saddle again, without the greed and the spending and keep, like you said, what the Great Generation gave us to take care of.

  59. Comment by Lordrobot on 6/29 @ 5:23 am #

Laura #58. Don’t be discouraged. I think the problem is professional politicians. Look at California. The once great state of innovation and thinking has become perverse. But every once in a while, powerful conservative movements arise. The same that brought Ronald Reagan onto the political stage as a force of nature, a colossal weather system. That wind is blowing again. The nation is very conservative. Each and every state that has brought the gay marriage referendum to a vote by the people has fallen. Yet politicians continue to push the other directions. These politicians are on the wrong side of this battle. Many who voted for this moronic cap and trade are also proponents of gay marriage. Americans are intensely opposed to illegal immigration but professional politicians including bush lined up against the interest of the people. The entire debate over healthcare is that democrats want to insure illegal immigrants, make them citizens, give them welfare, and bring them into the democratic party. Obama has that worthless aunt that came here illegally, defied a judicial order to leave the country, and instead falsified federal documents so she could collect welfare, social security, obtain medicare and medicaid, free housing and dollars for utilities. She never contributed a dime to this country she just came here to freeload.

But in the last election, the strongest political issue, immigration, was silent. McCain, an unpredictable stupid liberal and Obama agreed essentially on every issue. Their debates were akin to a mutual admiration society. Below by the way is an absolutely great presentation on immigration.

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4094926727128068265

But what you are seeing is professional politicians not following the desires of the republic form of government because they are doing the opposite of what the people elected them to do. They are selling us out for a belief that pandering to gays and pandering to illegals will somehow keep them in power. But then it just becomes a contest of the empty suits.

Things are going to get bad economically. We are going to have no recovery. We are going to go into a second much deeper recession. The reason for this is that companies are being destroyed by the professional politician. FDR was no better for example than Chavez. He tried to stack the supreme Court. He also wanted to be president indefinitely. The only way we got rid of him was he died in his as his fourth term was beginning, having extended the great depression for 13 year. The 22 second amendment was ratified around the country limiting any president to two terms. But more recently, Barney Frank and Harry Reid tried to introduce legislation to repeal the 22nd amendment. It shows you the path of their weak minds. Yet Nevada and Mass keep these pros in power. Clearly we need term limits.

In the last election in this country only 60% of the population that could vote actually voted. Many or most are just people who have simple values and just don’t want the government into their lives. They don’t want to register because they feel it is an intrusion of their right to be left alone. But as this country gets encroached upon by immigration and gay marriage, they may finally have enough. But we have to give them candidates that represent a clear difference on the winning core issues. We can never let the republican party succumb to running an individual as stupid as bush that enlarged government and signed off on such bills as creating homeland security as a giant new government agency, signed SARBOX into law, altered bank accounting from cost accounting to bubble mark to market accounting, created an unfunded gigantic medicare entitlement, and engaged in a long distance protracted war, claimed that he would end illiteracy with no child left behind. He wrecked the party by continuing with Cheney for a second term instead of some rising new conservative. But bush was a big government liberal republican. The primary process was invaded by democrats in a number of key states and we ended up with McCain. I can promise that many conservatives sick of election after election of the lesser of two evils stayed home.

Bush went to far and Obama is now pushing the outer limits and the public is enraged. We want our country back. We want America back. We don’t want union thugs, or to be taxed to death or to be insulted when we board an aircraft because we don’t like being shoved around and our property confiscated.

We don’t like freeloading illegals. I am not a racist but I can’t stand the fact that 50% of blacks in this country are on welfare. Our streets are unsafe. Gangs rule the night. And the drug trade somehow sneaks through our boarders along with illegals. 30 million is now the estimate of illegals in America!

Liberals will call me a racist. But who is a racist? Libs believe that Black people are so weak and so mentally disabled that they can’t make it on their own without a great white father helping them along. I believe opportunity should be awarded to those that work hard and meet the entrance requirements of whatever profession they choose. I am completely color blind. But they call me a racist because I dare say that the Black culture in this country is on a path of government support self-destruction. Obama is making it worse by eliminating the work requirement and increasing welfare benefits.

This is a country in need of a makeover. The arguments are appealing if only we can find candidates to arise that will not be interchangeable with democrats. The last election the two candidates were essentially identical. Either way Americans would have lost.

Imagine if we had a candidate like this one… articulate and straightforward. This is the way to beat obama. I would love to debate obama. I have two doctorates one in law. He doesn’t impress me. I could rip him to shreds. Yet nobody does. I have never seen such a weak number of debaters as I saw with the Republican candidates last election. They looked like smiling robotic voting machines. And where is their debate style? Not one of them was voice trained. Not one of them knew how to articulate a single persuasive argument. None of them were any good, including Ron Paul who squeaks when he talks and obliterates some of his good points with silly tails of personal persecution. He is a poor debater. I will show you a very good debater in the below video: note the cadence and the clarity. He talks at a near perfect speed without wasted words. This is the kind of clarity and message that could bring America around.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94lW6Y4tBXs

here is another example not as good but still forceful

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1waGanUNt0&NR=1

Below is the clown that all the libs think is the great orator. You decide.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDJSVPAx8xc

Here is another speech that is well worth hearing again

This last speech is an American. It is prophetic. I want you to imagine a man like this in his prime in verbal combat with the modern day liberal orator. Look at the intensity the power and clarity. This voice exists it just doesn’t exist in the professional politician. Another thing you might note is the lack of plastic pillars, lack of stage lighting; it is but a man with a clear voice.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt1fYSAChxs&feature=channel

Look at this guy. He was 73, tall handsome one of a kind

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7onnqQCfdFw&feature=related

What we have in office now is the anti-Reagan, a blue lipped weakling that has no measurable moral character. This will not stand in this country we call America. The people oppose illegal immigration. They oppose gay marriage. They oppose socialism and handouts. They oppose big government and its never ending police power and intrusion into our lives. The spirit of America, our big beautiful powerful America is winding up with some serious ferocity. Don’t expect liberals to police their own; they won’t. But Republicans must. So all goes back to what I said before. Intelligence without character is cunning. Character without intelligence is naivete. No character and no intelligence are the democrat sheep that follows their cunning leaders.

    Phoebe,

Lets talk about your green jobs. Where do jobs come from? The Gov? The GDP is composed only of goods and services produced in the private sector. Government makes nothing. Without tax collection, gov would have nothing. So all of it relies on the private sector.

These green jobs. What are they? No manufacturing? No oil, no coal? You mean every business will rely on tax credits to survive in the market place? Without income and without jobs, how do tax credits work? They don’t.

So obama grows the government to enormous sloth size. But where does the money come from to run this sloth? In 2010, 100% of the tax collected will be used to pay just the interest on the debt. This whole thing will cave in. It requires the selling of debt to foreign gov. We don’t sell products anymore. We sell debt.

And you think that by taxing business you will grow more business? My are you lost. Think if you force small companies to unionize that they will stay in business? Think if you double the cost of electricity that this will allow US companies to compete in global markets. Nothing you say makes any sense. In fact talking to you has just become an enormous waste of oxygen.

63 Hey Russ, I have a degree in physics from Cal Tech so you may choose not to answer my question. I will understand; I have never had a single believer in the global warming religion answer my question.

    Drum roll please….

How come the surface temps changes of Mars and the Earth deviate identically over the their histories save the fact that Mars is on average colder than Antarctica with no ice?

Even to an idiot, one would be hard pressed to suggest that the cause of the identical deviations of both Mars and Earth have anything whatsoever to do with man or greenhouse gases or anything other than pure solar activity. The planets don’t touch each other nor do they share an atmosphere. So how do you explain this in light of your centrocentric religion global warming.

I mean think about it. Isn’t global warming just a religion of a pagan variety? Doesn’t it just try to elevate man to deity in that he is so important that he is suddenly responsible for the temperature of the earth, the weather, and all things… including Mars? Whoops.

Who is going to enforce your global warming religion? Who will enforce cap and trade? Did you ever think of that? What happens when the gov has to quantitatively prove the physics of this silly religion? What experts are you going to get approved by the Court? You can’t use weather models because none of them have ever been shown to work. You have no legal legs here. On the other hand, look at the risk of someone that tell the Mars story to a jury and shows the identical surface temp deviations. Mars is a perfect test constant because it has lots of Carbon dioxide but no people, no human global warmers, no pharting golden calf herds.

Yes you were very impressive when you blew onto the scene here and made your witness from the church of algore.

I got an email response from bill nelson the smiling skull professional politician from Florida today. Understand that I went after him on the merits of global warming and use my Mars Earth surface temp comparisons which are identical in regard to change. Mars has a lot of CO2 and no people. Clearly the dates implicates the sun and only the sun for global surface warming and cooling. The earth is always doing one or the other.

He sends me this limp dick response: My remarks are in [brackets]

    Here we go…

Thank you for contacting me regarding cap-and-trade legislation.

I am interested in cap-and-trade programs because they would let the market, not the government, dictate how to lower harmful emissions.[false the auction legislation was eliminated in favor of free exchange tickets given to congressman that would vote for it in coal states] I believe that we have the technology and ability to meet the challenge of climate change in a way that will provide new economic opportunities and make us more competitive internationally while protecting consumers from high energy prices and breaking our dependence on oil. [what the krap is he talking about? We will be twice as dependent on foreign oil because we don't drill our own. It will be too expensive with cap and trade to send our own domestic oil to market and what technology is this idiot talking about solar cells which are not cost effective or wind mills which are equally cost ineffective. The cost even with tax credits never produces even one fourth of the cost of purchasing electricity from the power company.]

Global warming threatens Florida’s fragile ecosystem and $56 billion tourism industry. [How is this? People might not come here if it is warm up north?] Rising sea levels will encroach on Florida’s pristine beaches and harm coastal wetlands and the Everglades. [Oh this must be the ice glaciers]Increased carbon dioxide and water temperatures will damage sensitive coral reefs and endanger Florida’s diverse marine species. [That's a new one, show me the proof so me one day one week in 14 billion years of history where this statement is factual] A scientific study by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change concluded with 90 percent certainty that global warming is caused by the accumulation of man-made greenhouse gasses. [Hold the phone! this is the one. There is no scientific study whatsoever. There is no consensus. This 90% figure is absurd. Either you have proof or you don't. Proof is always set in science at 100% and it must be reproducible. In fact EPA is presently trying to hide the scientific evidence that says global warming is a farce.]

On June 26, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. The Senate is expected to consider legislation to address energy independence and climate change in the fall.

I will continue to work in the Senate to fight the effects of global warming. [Where again are these effects? Show me a single study a single reputable scientific study with peer review} I appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts with me, and I respect your views. Please feel free to regarding any additional issues of concern.

    Sincerely,
    Senator Bill Nelson

Bill Nelson is an insult to citizens of this country. He is the smiling skull because that is what he looks like. He has been in Florida politics as a professional politician forever. He has no clue what a private sector job is, he has never had one. He is the ultimate panzy.

He comes up for election in 2012 and that piece of krap is already laying plans to run yet again. The state of Florida has no industry except for tourism and agriculture both of which will be harmed greatly by cap and trade. Driving and flying to florida for a cost four times higher than present value is not going to bring people running. Further, Florida is uninhabitable in summer without Air Conditioning. We have 17 coal fired plants that will cause utility bills to double. Our state has been victim of massive home flippers and now foreclosures. There is not a single mortgage in the state that doesn’t cost more than the value of the house its on. It was legislation by this rocket scientist that caused this imbalanced economy. He voted for SARBOX, He voted to have $500K capital gains exclusion on primary residences which fired up the housings boom. He supported cheap gov. mortgages. Today Miami is a wasteland because of this moron.

The boating industry has all but shut down. Florida unemployment is 13% and rising. The construction business is flatlined and we have gluts of homes that just decline day after day. We have no major employers except for hosptials and school districts. We are imbalance and without the bubble housing business and tourism, these crummy small tourist businesses shut down. The Conference business in Orlando is dead, in Ft. Lauderdale dead. It is a mess and it is getting worse and we have the smiling skull to thank because he is a professional politician that worries about just one thing… getting reelected. He is, in a word, a pile of garbage.

I am interested in cap-and-trade programs because they would let the market, not the government, dictate how to lower harmful emissions.

When the first sentence is utter fucking nonsense…

The Republicans that voted for this are a disgrace to the Republican party. But they are even more of a disgrace to the American people. The democrats live in a fantasy world that is quickly becoming a nightmare for everyone that works in this country!

I will not vote for these men for the government. Word of mouth is very powerful and I will every day talk about how these people voted for cap and trade and fight to get them out of office. They are not for the people. They are not looking out or representing the people of America.

I say it’s time these so called Republicans start looking for jobs in private sector. Chris Smith has spent more than half his life in Washington, for God’s sake! It’s not time for change, it’s time for an overhaul!
