   A more accurate cartoon would have had everyone: Bank Pres, Loan officer and borrower all going “katchinnnng!” in unison.. The CRA didn’t force the greedy to do anything they weren’t more than happy to do to line their own individual pockets or to move into a house they knew was beyond their means… Pointing at any one person or group or policy appears to absolve the others from their part in the fiasco.. and there are no innocent parties in this… except maybe a bunch of taxpayers that get to pay for it without benefiting by it.
