    Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, organizations purported to serve the good cause of making home ownership easier. Both actually served the purpose of political cronyism, coverup, and lobbyist protectionism.

    CAC, a foundation purported to serve the good cause of making education better. In reality they fueled political cronyism, coverup, and lobbyist protectionism (Obama funneled money to projects he created and was active in, not directly to the schools.)

    While it may seem like Ayers is a central figure here, I think he’s as much a dupe of the system as anyone. He thinks he’s much smarter than those around him, which makes him vulnerable to flattery and con games. He’s eager to pose and strut, but I think he’s easily controlled by those who play nice to his viewpoints.

    The ones getting the money are the ones pulling the strings.
