Homeland Security Not the Only Issue That Matters, Anymore

Captain Ed thinks that choosing Lieberman would be disastrous, because he doesn’t really represent the Republican Party’s core values.  Personally, I like the idea, not because I think that it will serve McCain well to burnish his Maverick creds, but because agree or disagree, he’s a principled person who’s on board with the GWoT, which, unfortunately, is still in my view the most important issue–even though, I know, it’s the economy, stupid.

    I’m not going to start drinking again for anybody.

    And it would take Everclear to make me pull the handle for a McCain/Lieberman ticket.

    I can JUST vote against Obama now. If the party has so little influence on McCain that he would commit such a move as selecting Lieberman, well, there came a moment when the rank and file knew that that Whigs were done, right?
