“Did Illegals Misusing SSNs Earn More on Average Than U.S. Women?”

Parsing the numbers, it sure looks like it.  But, like, free contraceptives!  And abortion on demand in all circumstances! Because punishment.   And freedom!  CNS:

If you simultaneously accept estimates published by the Census Bureau and the Chief Actuary of Social Security, then illegal aliens who misused Social Security numbers to work illegally in the United States in 2010 earned more on average than American women did.

The Office of the Chief Actuary published an analysis in April 2013 entitled, “Effects of Unauthorized Immigration on the Actuarial Status of the Social Security Trust Funds.” It included this question and answer:

“Question: Of the unauthorized workers paying OASDI (Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance) taxes, what is the average level of earnings upon which the taxes are levied and how does that level compare with the broader U.S. labor force?

“Answer: We assume the average level of taxable earnings for these unauthorized workers equals about 80 percent of the average level for all workers. For 2010, we estimate this average level for these unauthorized workers to be about $34,000.”

The Census Bureau’s historical income Table P-43 lists “Workers (Both Sexes Combined) by Median Earnings and Mean Earnings.”

This table says that in 2010, American workers had mean earnings of $42,494. The $34,000 in average taxable earnings the Chief Actuary estimated for illegal aliens paying OASDI taxes does indeed equal 80 percent of that.

Meanwhile, the Census Bureau’s Table P-42 lists “Workers by Mean Earnings and Sex.” It says female workers in the United States in 2010 had mean earnings of $33,771 (in 2010 dollars).

That is slightly less than the $34,000 in average taxable earnings the Chief Actuary estimated for unauthorized workers misusing Social Security Numbers.

The GOP War on Women continues apace!

— Of course, this would be solely the progressives’ War on Women were the GOP establishment not owned by K Street and the corporatists.   Which, correct me if I’m wrong, might actually be a strong selling point in elections for a party eager to “rebrand” and build up more support among women.  For instance, were they not complicit in pushing amnesty, they’d be able to point out that the President’s refusal to follow federal immigration law, combined with his refusal to deport, and his executive fiats for “Dreamers” and restraints placed upon law enforcement, are creating the surreal situation in which illegal aliens are actually better off financially on average than working women in the US who are, in fact, citizens.

Instead, for both the progressives looking for a demographic shift to turn Texas and Arizona like they did Colorado and the Republicans looking to provide their donor base cheap labor, we’re told “comprehensive immigration reform” is a mutual “act of love” we non politicians seem to be resisting, to the evident scorn and mockery of the GOP Speaker and his coterie of future lobbyists, and to an indictment of racism and nativism by the left.

So.  How you feeling, there, ladies?  Loved?

Or like someone slipped something into your vodka cranberry and date-“loved” you?

When I look at numbers like this, and recall that you’re better off as a non-working single mother on government aid than you are as a family bringing in $60K  a year, it isn’t difficult to see how far we’ve drifted down the road to serfdom.  And yet the GOP can’t seem to sell that message.

— Which, I don’t think they’re trying particularly hard, do you?

  1. it isn’t difficult to see how far we’ve drifted down the road to serfdom. And yet the GOP can’t seem to sell that message.

But that is EXACTLY (serfdom) what the establishment GOP is trying to sell – they are just hoping that they can take the ruling seat soon.

  2. they are just hoping that they can take the ruling seat soon.

    Oh, they rule plenty.

Being in the majority is just a formality. They get their regardless of what the seat-count looks like.

  3. their = theirs

  4. Nasty income inequality, socialism will cure that good and hard.

  5. Of course they do. I’m surprised you had to ask. There are HUGE economic advantages to being an illegal immigrant.
