“Pentagon: Secret U.S. military commandos deployed to Libya”

If you thought Obama wasn’t going to give the orders to kill somebodyanybody, really, so long as they can be tied to the Benghazi attack in some plausible way — before the election, you haven’t been paying attention to this guy’s playbook.  This, again, is another of those crass moments where I have to say that I told you so.  This man is a political animal through and through. And as such, he’s as predictable as a sunrise and lies as naturally as he breathes.

I expect a somber news conference to be called, where he spikes the football for allowing special forces units to go clean up his mess — perhaps on the same day his hagiographic movie is released, the one in which Obama’s gutsy call forced a reluctant SEAL Team 6 to go take-out Osama bin Laden.

This will be used as a last-minute effort to trumpet his foreign policy seriousness and resolve.  And it will never be framed, by a dishonest and politically motivated media, as akin to a garbage-time touchdown after the game had already been lost by a coaching staff completely outclassed by a bunch of militants they refuse even to acknowledge exist.

Perhaps the commandos will be unable to find anybody who participated in the attacks until Wednesday. Which, wouldn’t that be a damn shame.

  1. I think I invented a new term for Obama’s foreign policy. Political Münchausen by proxy.

Münchausen syndrome by proxy involves getting someone sick or injured so you can be shown to be a great caregiver when you take then ti the hospital and dote over them. Obama likes to get Americans murdered so he can then show himself TAKE ACTION and show how DECISIVE he is.

  2. Too late now Obama. You had your chance to be presidential and four people paid for your incompetence or the incompetence of whoever you delegated authority to. The lives were lost. It’s too late to seek glory and avoid the shame of your failure now.

  3. Geraldo apparently lost his mind (duh) on Fox and Friends and screamed at Eric Bolling that there was no way the Armed Forces could have saved the ambassador and the others in Benghazi because there wasn’t sufficient time for them to get there, &c.

I don’t watch that show, so I’m relying on print reports of the incident.

Too late now, is right. Go in there and shell the piss out of Benghazi is going to accomplish what?

    Obama is a blood-thirsty mofo.

  4. Q: And you know what happened after Geraldo lost his shit?
A: He’s all of a sudden proof that all of that Benghazi stuff is wrong. Because if even Geraldo recognizes it as lies, then lies it is.

Geraldo’s not even right once a day. But to some people, Fox News is the only source of information for conservatives, and so Geraldo has cut the only leg from underneath the Benghazi story.

    Amazing. Flabbergasting. Logic.

  5. What ought to blow peoples’ minds about Libya, at least to my simple way of thinking, is the apparent disappearance of the knowledge gained — both through failures and successes — at operating in a nearly entirely hostile land, as was Iraq from mid 2003 to late 2007. And to think that David Petraeus is near the center of both cases. Yet in the older case, he had the support of the elected political leadership whereas in this new case, his knowledge can be wiped out at the stroke of a pen.

  6. I don’t know about that Slart. Geraldo is a tool and everyone know it. Plus, he was losing his shit on Eric Bolling who is all over the Benghazi story and isn’t going to let it go.

Catherine Herridge, Jennifer Griffin and Brett Baier are hella more credible than Geraldo “Al Capone’s Vault” Rivera could ever hope to be.

  7. …a garbage-time touchdown after the game had already been lost by a coaching staff completely outclassed by a bunch of militants they refuse even to acknowledge exist.

What they really won’t touch is the fact that the hagiographic movie itself is just a garbage-time touchdown they can use to feel better about their team before they get creamed on Tuesday.

  8. Followed by that subpoena in January asking how Ms. Bigelow got her rookers on classified information.

  9. Geraldo is a tool and everyone who’s not a liberal nitwit knows it.

    Fixed.

  10. Perhaps the commandos will be unable to find anybody who participated in the attacks until Wednesday.

While true, given the Obama administrations ability to find whatever they want in the intelligence if Obama wants a body count by Monday, Obama will get a body count by Monday. So what if it’s only the local guy who sold the attackers some shwarma earlier that day.

  11. Too late – they failed to act when it mattered.
Also, would this be the terrorist master mind that the NYT magically found & interviewed a week or so ago after being criticized for ignoring the story? How was it the NYT could find him so easily, scooping other media organizations more involved in the story? Gee, is it possible the Obama admin has known who attacked the consulate all along but is just now choosing to act now that the story is taking hold…

  12. That’s just crazy talk, Libby. /sarc

  13. Are we sure these aren’t double secret commandos?
