“Feminists” are funny [Darleen Click]

Who knew that a rather innocuous HuffPo column by Mika Brzezinski that closes with this:

You should go for your dream career but never forget that you’re a woman who deserves a balanced life that includes a loving family.

Would engender this kind of response by St. Mandy writing at Double X:

I know we’re all supposed to nod politely when someone says that having kids is much harder than getting a job in an incredibly competitive industry, because we know that the people saying this have suffered a great deal of sleep deprivation in their lifetimes and we should honor that. But c’mon! We live in a country with a high teen birthrate, so we have got to know, deep down inside, that platitudes about parenthood like this are off the mark. 16-year-olds find someone to impregnate them and raise kids. But you don’t see many 16-year-olds hosting their own talk shows on major news networks. Having a baby is a lot of work, absolutely, but if it required the genius-level capabilities, the human race would have died out a long time ago.

And one doesn’t see many 16-year-olds successfully raising children on their own either. Mandy is not stupid enough to pretend giving birth is the same as parenting.

Is it possible that these levels of contempt for family and children exists beyond the Vagina Warrior class and contributes to the dismal portrayal of same in Western entertainment media, if not a birthrate that is way below replacement?

Actually, she’s every bit that stupid.

In Amynda’s dream world, the sprog would be gestated in a glass jar and handed over to the State upon decanting.

Just be glad that Amanda Maracotte is not a “breeder.” From a purely Darwinian perspective, the gene pool could do without her contribution. From a purely moral perspective, those poor children having a mother like her.

“From a purely Darwinian perspective, the gene pool could do without her contribution.”

From a purely Darwinian perspective, you have absolutely no way of knowing whether the gene pool, whatever that is, could do without her contribution or not, Joe.

As far as VW’s are concerned, the next best thing is government paid “child care”. Women shouldn’t have the option to be stay at home moms.

sdferr, you are reading way too many Dune books. Okay, I am not sure Amanda Maracotte issue would turn out to be superior people several hundred generations from now. I am going to take a guess and think not likely at least for the first few.

We obviously need a Bene Gesserit breeding program for political commentators and bloggers. For example: Mark Steyn will fucking shit when he gets the letter saying report for duty at Amanda’s house, time to get busy.

#6 That’d have to be a test-tube job for sure, if it were me.

R.S. McCain, report for duty, pasty face Kejda Gjermani needs to be seeded. We need to breed the House Conservative with the House Insanity to create a new line of commentators.

“…you are reading way too many Dune books…”

Does zero count as too many?

  10. Comment by Joe on 11/14 @ 11:46 am #

zero is the correct answer! Actually Dune is fine, just don’t go down that Twlight path or you are a gonner.

When poverty is so flexible that someone with 2 cars, 3 TVs, AC, cellphones, and can afford to eat so much they become obese counts as “in poverty”, then “poverty” is meaningless.

So, tell us more about purely Darwinian perspectives Joe, leaving the sci-fi to the side to improve the purity you seek.

I mean, if you are going to take it upon yourself to opine about who ought to reproduce and who ought not to reproduce, based of course on purely scientific principles to assure said potential reproductives that your decisions will be entirely non-arbitrary, i.e., not in the least based on your political opinions or the contempt in which you hold those potentially reproductive human beings’ political opinions, you are going to have to draw on a vast knowledge of the human genome and its recombinative permutations as well as the genetic make up and physical structures of all the microbes that may attack those human recombinative offsprings own physical structures, at the very least.

Or you could in the alternative just write, “I don’t like Amanda” and leave the other stuff out.

None of which is to say that Mika Brzezinski isn’t a dirty socialist whore what likely got and keeps her job by playing naughty nurse games with a diapered Jeffy Immelt.

By now it should be obvious to anybody who has read Mandy’s rantings that her parents weren’t very good at it………parenting.

hosting their own talk shows on major news networks.

It takes “genius-level capabilities” to host a talk show on a “major news network”? I would have never guessed.

IMHO it would be good for the human race if smart people made more babies. Instead we pay stupid people to have children and use societal disdain to discourage smart people from becoming parents. Nothing could go wrong, right?

Well, when I think of geniuses, three names come to mind:

    Stephen Hawking
    Richard Feynman
    Katie Couric

    Snicker.

Around these parts, it used to be easy to spot the economically downtrodden: They were the ones with Starter jackets, Air Jordans and gold grillz. I’m not sure what the fashion is today.

I thought Mandy was more of a bukkake fetishist than a breeder.

Raising humans to be civilized is never easy, and even with the best efforts it doesn’t always work out.* Give it a shot, Mandy, and let us know how it works for you.

*Compared to that, dealing with adults in a workplace environment is easy. I was a camp counselor and a substitute teacher, and am an experienced uncle – 21 years as uncle.

That really says a lot about poor old Amanda if you think about it.
