FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) ― Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, visited wounded soldiers and their families near the site of the worst mass shooting on an Army post in the United States.

The Bushes made their private visit to Fort Hood’s Darnall Army Medical Center on Friday night. Bush spokesman David Sherzer said in an e-mail that the couple thanked Fort Hood’s military leaders and hospital staff for the “amazing care they are providing.”

We’ll not have anyone with such character in our little White House again I don’t think. It’s become a whore magnet.

    Says it all.

Obama and his party believe that soldiers are “losers”…and sometimes losers are in the wrong place at the wrong time. What is really important here is that the Muslim Major’s civil right to dissent was protected.

There were warning signs all over the place…but the FBI and Army were powerless in the face of poltical correctness; and now thirteen are dead and over a score wounded. Some family members will never recover.

Michelle gets what Michelle wants. Michelle does not care about some cracker soldiers in Texas getting shot.

I have yet to see one picture of President Bush visiting the wounded at Ft Hood. Contrast that to Obama posing with the coffin of a US soldier — a picture that went all over the place since he took the photographers with him.

“…yet to see one picture of President Bush visiting the wounded…”

They’ll trickle out over time as the family members who were present and took them send them to relatives and they then show up on the internet. Will big news-orgs pick them up eventually? Maybe a smattering.

As usual, the Bushes showed real concern, care, and compassion for the wounded; and showed real dignity and class too!

They didn’t wait for camers to show up, or photo ops. They didn’t need reprters around, I can’t be sure but the original story I saw at Breitbart, just a few lines long, was probably filed by reporters already there to follow up on the horrific shootings at Fort Hood this week.

Contrast that to Obama, who like most of the Democrats are all about the flash, to hell with the substance…

Obama can never have the grace, panache, wit, or gravitas of Reagan. But he could hope to learn humility and dignity from Bush; and maybe start acting Presidential.

If this hits the news, nObama will be there on Monday posing with recovering soldiers.

    bank on it.

We know have indisputable evidence that political correctness is lethal. For some of us, this was self-evident long ago. George Bush is not one of them. Barack Obama isn’t either, but he would still do nothing about it even if he did. George Bush is a decent man, but we only have Barack Obama because we had George Bush. The causal chain of our current failures is a long one.

“…will be there on Monday posing…”

    Tuesday, already scheduled in.

Why isn’t there any Outrage! over Obama waiting until Tuesday to go to Fort Hood? I understand it wasn’t a hurrican like Katrina, but still a national event. And Boooooooosh! was there the the next evening…

Where was Obama; twisting arms for Obamacare votes in DC…Priorities, you know…

That’s why there’s been no decision on McChrystal’s reinforcement request; the administration has been locked in a pitched battle with Fox news and hasn’t time for any other distractions

Besides, CNN and MSNBC won’t have the best ass-licking reporters free to go to Fort Hood and fawn all over O! until Tuesday…

    I’m getting ill…

We have a small man for president. Small and mean spirited. And petty. Let’s not forget petty. How can anyone hold him up as a role model? There was alot wrong with GW Bush, but doing the right thing when noone was watching isn’t one of them. Our service members deserve better than him.j
