By now I expect that the ACORN management has contacted every office to find out if James and Hannah have visited them. They have shown that they will fire people. To deal at all with this situation management needs accurate, complete, information of what has transpired but has not yet made it to the public scene.
Now if you are one of the lower level workers what exactly are you telling your boss. Remember the employees have shown themselves to not be adverse to lying and performing illegal acts in the course of their jobs. Management must know this too. They hired them because they would be amenable to be trained in the Alinsky methods and they then trained them.
I think ACORN management is discovering that with each tape they do not know what has actually happened. They are getting only cover stories from below. Everyone is telling management what they think management wants to hear. Their ability to react and act to dampen down the crisis is hurt because they have no way of knowing whether what they think they know is true or not and their unknown unknowns are possibly huge.

A juvenile understanding of hypocrisy is the only thing that matters to the left in these matters. Republicans preach honesty and morality, so when one of them is caught out then they must be dealt with severely. Democrats have no morals, so if they can keep it out of the press, it is no big deal, nothing to see here, or if they can some how twist it into an act of rebellion they can even get rewarded.
Never mind that the whole philosophy defines what hypocrisy
is, they are too reality based to be bothered with that.

Any smart politician, any smart foundation, church, school, will be consulting lawyers and accountants, just to make sure that they can plausibly deny any true contact with ACORN after this. Vote fraud? That’s politics, but underage sex slavery? That’s toxic, there isn’t any excuse for that, there is no excuse for any organization to have multiple offices willing to assist with that. There is a very tangled web of funding involving ACORN and much if not all of the progressives. It will hurt the Democrats that are of the progressive stripe if the scandal is followed where it will lead.
I expect some sort of firebreak is being erected to protect as many of the funding sources and power brokers as is possible. SEIU is the one most exposed as they are practically a co-joined twin of ACORN.

There are two (2) people trying to talk sense – basically saying that if ACORN offers to materially aid the commission of a crime, that’s a bad thing – but they’re drowned out by others who are saying – without saying – that there are no enemies on the Left.

what makes me crazy about this is that people put it in the political sphere! if your local grocery store had a child sex backroom then i’m assuming spunkcone would be super against that (i know…giving it too much intellectual credit)..it doesn’t matter if it was a fake undercover operation, the bottom line is that these people all over the place were totally willing to accept and aid child prostitution!! just say it spunky..you love paying underage girls to play with your junk

There’s a sliding scale of “evidence” over there, with some crimes – like rape and the Bush Administration’s conspiracy to bring down the towers – which are actually impervious to exculpatory evidence. Then there are the crimes that are committed by fellow travellers – ACORN and Mumia come to mind – which are held to some as yet undefined standard of evidence.

See, most of us want to see this kind of crap investigated and any perpetrators punished. In that case, there almost certainly (I say “almost” because it’s just barely possible that no laws got broken, although it seems improbable) was criminal activity.
So, what do you think of the ACORN situation? Is that a topic you can discuss, or are you determined to change the subject?
