IOTW publishes this amazing photo click image for full panoramic view
Mr.Pinko has obtained an exclusive from the Photographer Michael A. Beck and FreedomWorks.org. Pinko sat on this image for days before just now getting the green light to publish. This is a RARE photo of the 9/12 Rally taken in extreme High Resolution from atop the Capitol Building. Mr. Beck was personally escorted to this rare vantage point by a congressman who will remain anonymous. This panoramic view offers the viewer documentation of the epic scale of this peaceful demonstration of democracy in action.
As you will note the lawns to the east and west are full. As I watched the live-stream coverage of the event, every once in a while someone would keep asking the crowds streaming up the mall to fill in the lawns to the sides, so as you can tell those are packed, as well as filling the sidewalks as far as the eye can see.
(Thank you, royf)

What I am curious about is on Obama’s Sunday morning blitz (all shows except FoxNews Sunday) will he be questioned about ACORN and the child protestution angle. My guess is one of the hosts will break the silence if only to take advantage of the media hype that will come from it (and to show how independent they really are). But there is still a good chance they will maintain their silence.

Guess what, Cathy? We’re not going away. We’re just starting to hit our stride, and all of your snide “teabagging” remarks and accusations of racism are not going to stop us.
We’re not Republicans. We’re not Democrats. We’re just ordinary Americans who don’t think that we and our children and our children’s children should be impoverished so that the Democratic Party can consolidate their power and assume mastery over those who should be their masters.

And you know what else Cathy A there were hundreds of tea parties in cities all across the USA in conjunction with the 9/12 Rally. Their attendance far exceeded expectations as well.
You see the truth is Americans are waking up and don’t like what they are seeing.
Comment by Bender Bending Rodriguez on 9/16 @ 11:03 am #
Losers on the left feel an insane need to be “the popular kids.” They need to believe that everyone thinks like they do — that’s why they LOVE protest marches so much, while conservatives haven’t taken much stock in them until very recently. Hence, the idea that hundreds of thousands of people, with no media build-up to speak of (unlike lefty protests, which get a week of free publicity on the network “news”), came out to protest against Their Guy stings them to the quick.
Surely, even Cathy and Slowcone realize that something is fundamentally messed up with their side’s psyche when they have to send their shills to try to convince people not to trust their own eyes, and that only 30K people were there.
The funny part is, it doesn’t matter what level of cognitive dissonance Cathy and Slowcane can conjure up. They can convince themselves that they only saw five protesters, if they want. What matters is that every member of Congress, and Barack Obama Hisownself, knows that the 9/12 march was just the start of what can happen if they continue to take America in The Stupid Direction.

You’re defending “Pork” as keeping me alive? REally. I mean, ’cause that’s fascinating. Which of following do you think currently is keeping me alive:
$4,545,000 for wood utilization research
2,192,000 by Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee member Maurice Hinchey (D-N.Y.), then-House appropriator JamesWalsh (R-N.Y.), and Rep. Michael Arcuri (D-N.Y.) for the Center for Grape Genetics in Geneva.
$206,000 for wool research in three states (Montana, Texas, and Wyoming) by Reps. Mike Conaway (R-Texas) and Ciro Rodriguez (D-Texas). Since 1995, CAGW has uncovered 13 earmarks worth $3,417,453 for wool research, always in the same three states. While 47 states have figured out that wool can be best used to make a warm sweater, Montana, Texas, and Wyoming apparently are still trying to work out its practical utilizations.
41,500,000 for three projects funding presidential libraries: $22,000,000 by Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), and Reps. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) and Edward Markey (D-Mass.) for the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston, Massachusetts; $17,500,000 by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), and Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) for the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library in Hyde Park, New York; and $2,000,000 by Senate appropriator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) for the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library in Austin, Texas.

right becuase 555 million to expand a program that can’t be sustained is just like asking for a loan that will have to be paid back.
Comment by Carin on 9/16 @ 11:57 am #
Luke, if the Federal Government TAKES our money, the states have every right to fight back for every penny. Regardless of whether or not Texas gets the money … they’re on the hook for the bill just like every other state. Perhaps, just perhaps, that’s part of the problem? That the spending (or asking) for funds is so wholly removed from the process of TAKING our money.
So, let’s back up the argument just a bit more.
Back to the part about how much the Federal Government takes from us. And, what falls under the auspices of Federal spending and what should remain within the state.

Well meya the “Black Family Reunion” main gathering was on Sunday, and yes that was why the 9/12 rally wasn’t allowed on the Mall grass areas. So when you look at that picture do you see even 1000 people on the grassy areas? The people who went said there was at most a few hundred people at that function. Maybe you only want to count 3/5th’s of that.
You do know that the 3/5 thing was put in by the ANTI-slavery folks, don’t you?
Of course you don’t. Because you are pig-fucking ignorant.

More importantly: I wonder if the proggs who keep bringing up the 3/5ths Compromise know who wanted slaves to be counted as a full person for the purpose of determining the number of Representatives a State could send to the House.
Comment by Patrick Chester on 9/16 @ 11:29 pm #
(Or, for that matter, who wanted slaves to not be counted at all under those circumstances.)

If you use meya’s math, which in no way resembles traditional math, she says there were up to 500,000 at this family reunion, yet they are barely visible. How many would that her version of math estimate the throngs of people that actually are visible to be?
Luke Gunner is a douchenozzle.

Man, that sure is a lot of hicks. The thing is, we already had a plebiscite, it’s called an election.

Comment by royf on 9/17 @ 5:57 am #
Well Barton we sure did have a election and it was won because the lapdog media did everything in their power to hide and cover for a man who is completely unqualified as well as being a liar and a Chicago machine politician.
What 9/12 and zero’s falling polls are trying to tell you is that Americans have started waking up and will not allow this group of thugs to change the USA into a socialist/communist thugocrasy.
But hey put your fingers back in your ears and repeat after me “there are no American troops in Baghdad”. I’m sure it will all go away.

Charlie Martin a commenter over at Just One Minute who is a Colorado computer scientist has done a breakdown on attendance at Pajamas Media. I know from previous experience he is very thorough. So here is the link to his article.
More 9/12 Crowd Data: Yeah, It Was Big
His analysis sets the low end of the crowd at 500,000 to 600,000. He states any number lower than that isn’t logical.

Great link, royf. But Charlie is prolly a racist wingNazi.

Hey, we’ll give it back. In return we’ll keep the natural gas and oil that flows up the pipeline to keep you warm in winter, hmmm? See? Just and green — you need to reduce your carbon footprint anyway.
Regards,
Ric

I had a similar comment a while back with meya I think, She was spouting the same BS and since I’m from Texas I went and found the statistics on refineries. Texas accounts for slightly less than 34% of the gasoline refined in the USA. Not to mention the 50 or 60 gas pipelines which supply the big cities around the Great Lakes. These simpletons know nothing.

Not to mention all those hicktard red states that produce irrelevant stuff like food. Also water, if you happen to live in California.

I love the all that federal money going to Alaska meme. Any idea how much of that money is defense related? How much of that money is spent on those huge national parks up there? (hint they are large parks). How much is spent on the reservations? (relatively large Native American population there). How much of that money is corporate welfare for the oil companies, and is likelier to end up being spent in the city where the oil company is headquartered. The typical Alaskan taxpayer receives nothing from the fed and would have to provide a good or service to the military, Park Service, reservation or an oil company in order to receive any of this money. Providing a good or service is the definition of earning so no welfare there.
Isn’t much of our military stationed in red states? Doesn’t much of the money go to military personnel? Do they spend it all in the state they’re stationed in?
