That was educational … I didn’t see a Brooks Bros’ suit or swastika among the bunch. But the whole “sit down, shut up, listen to what I say and nod politely OR ELSE” ‘tude from the AARP spokeshole was jaw-dropping. And the guy who tried the line “80 billion dollars of profit!!!!1!!! ELEVENTY!!!1!!” Because, you know, Microsoft, Apple, IBM, et al, only make profit by denying their product to consumers. Obamanize them all!
Seriously, I applaud the restraint of all those grey-haired seniors that they didn’t slap that rude, contemptuous and condescending bitch out of the room sooner.
And I’ve never regretted tearing up that “offer” to join AARP five years ago.

Well Darleen, I have been faced with the consequences of tearing up that card. I just had to have new glasses (had operation on one eye thus my prescription changed). found out that an aarp card could get me 50% off. Dang!
However, I don’t regret it as the aarp has most recently shown that they are NOT looking out for their members as far as legislation and it seems they’re typically arrogant and condescending to the very people to whom they owe their existence.
Just another scam organization taking advantage of older people.

Well they should be pissed. The elderly in our nation have been conditioned to fear medicare cuts, thanks to the fearmongering efforts of the Democrats since the 80’s. And yet, somehow Obama can patently claim that 300 to 400 billion will be “saved” by eliminting waste…
