Skippy Gates sez: “I’m going to go to HOLLYWOOD and make DOCUMENTARIES!”
On KFI 640 radio in Los Angeles, in the 4 pm hour during the John and Ken show, I heard audio clips of Henry ‘Skip’ Gates being interviewed by Gayle King on Sirius-XM’s “Oprah Radio”. I’m still searching for something other than the one 1:13 minute Youtube clip of Gates’ blackberry ringing off the hook after Obama’s remarks. The audio clips John and Ken played demonstrate that Gates is almost giddily happy with his arrest because now he is going to “cash in”. Gates claims:
The last startled even the totally sympathetic King enough she asked him to repeat himself.
Skippy Gates made himself clear — he states that Crowley made out a fraudulent report.
There is nothing in Sgt. Crowley’s long and exemplary career that would support any allegation of him committing a crime and an officer filing a false report is a crime.
Game, set, match to Crowley and the Cambridge Police. Gates was clearly in the wrong and Skippy is demonstrative proof that academic credentials is no guarantee of honesty or character.
If someone finds the audio tape of that section of the interview before I do, please put it in the comments and I’ll bump it into the post.

I know that many (most?) departments have video cameras mounted in their vehicles now.
I think if I were a cop, I’d get a Flip camera, attach it to some kind of shoulder mount, and switch it on every time I started interacting with a suspect away from the car.

Gates is kinda like the Alberto Contador of biking mountain climbers (hi MLK!, how is it on that mountaintop these days?), sprinting off from his teammate Andreas Klöden (B.H.Obama in this morality play) only to find himself isolated amidst his rivals and his poor teammate Barry falling off the leaders’ podium due to his inability to keep up. Look for the rest of the team to keep a tight-lipped counsel to themselves hereafter.

Darleen, Gates is a crazy crapweasel. Officer Crowley increasingly seems to be a stand up guy who had the bad luck to show up at the wrong house with the wrong guy. And Rush is probably correct in predicting that Obama is going to throw Gates overboard because he realizes this is going to drag him down too.

I have thought Gates was an asshole from the start. My only defense of him was if he was being an asshole to the cops, that is not alone a basis to arrest him (once he showed his ID and established he was not a burgler or being burglerized).
And I am not at all surprised Skip “Mr. Chips” Gates is now trying to take advantage of all of this. And I also think Joe “Sputnik” Biden is correct in assuming Gates is not totally attached to reality.

If in fact there is an audible recording of the words passing between the two men there will be a god-awful pressure from the pols to keep the thing unheard I’d bet, and as strong a pressure from the union rank and file cops to let it loose on the world. Unlike the Rev Wright tapes everyone is going to want to hear what went on. Gates had better be being straight here for the sake of his own reputation. He’ll do himself no favors now in embellishing what went on to make himself the victim should the tape say otherwise.

At least both guys seem to agree (if for different reasons) that all the trouble started right from the jump. Gates says to Gayle as he brandishes his paranoia of being arrested “He was hostile right from the beginning”. Crowley says in his report that Gates “opened the front door and said ‘Why, because I’m a black man in America?’”

Despite Gates’ delusions, race was not the issue here. The issue was attitude.
If Gates’ rant was caught on tape, that will be very special indeed. But not because of Gates, he has been around for a long time and most people who have experienced him know what a nutburger he his. But because Obama elevated a story that was about to go away and made it his own, siding with Gates. Obama picked up something he should have left alone. Like this story.

It would be fair to say it is becoming clearer and clearer that Crowley is a stand up cop. I thought Gates was an asshole from the get. I was willing to give Gates the benefit of doubt of having the right to be an asshole in his own home, without being arrested. Free speech means freedom to criticize, especially in your own home. But that benefit of doubt is quickly fading and the tapes may be Gates’ complete undoing (if they exist). And if Gates comes off as a complete liar, Obama gets hurt by his embrace of the issue.
And I disagree with Psycho over his Crowley comments:
Naw, going to the White House is the smart move for Crowley. He should polite. In fact he should be friendly and completely respectful to Gates and Obama. Enjoy his beer. And at the end say, sorry to disappoint but I did the right thing and I would do it again. But thanks for the tour and the beer.
Because the more this is in the news, the worse it gets for Obama. And if Mr. Chips (on his shoulder) can help us indirectly defeat Obamacare (which is such an act of theivery that Obama should have his ID checked), all I can say is I hope Gates keeps locking himself out of everything.

If you follow the links in the comments, you’ll see that number is a bit misleading. Most of those deaths are 17-19 year old gang bangers who haven’t been to school in years. The Chicago school system keeps students on the rolls long after they drop out so as to get more Federal money, and the media plays along to have fodder for their little war on handguns.

People like Gates keep racial divides alive because they make a good living off it. The reality is that Gates is the one guilty of racial profiling. He hates the white police and that is why he was arrested. We all have to learn not to mouth off to the cops – even when they are wrong. I learned that at age 20 when I got puled over and found myself spread eagled and frisked against my car for shooting off my mouth. How may white guys have been arrested unjustly? But Gates because he is black thinks he can run his mouth like and adolescent when he gets mad. Black people go through life looking for a white man to hate gates found the wrong one on officer Crowley.
Racial profiling works both ways. The civil rights movement has created a bunch of thin skinned crybabies that go through life looking for the white man that has wronged them. They have created a generation of spoiled bigoted cry babies.
Gates own words:
“I was all set to become the little prince of that almost all-white school,” he wrote….”As always, whitey now sits in judgment of me, preparing to cast my fate. It is your decision either to let me blow with the wind as a nonentity or to encourage the development of self. Allow me to prove myself.”
Obama for his part still hates the Cambridge police because he got a few tickets and calls that racial profiling. Same spoiled immature crybaby mentality. Grow up and get over it.
