When campaigning to pass the $787 billion “stimulus” bill several months ago, President Obama said it was necessary to keep unemployment from exceeding 9 percent.
Ahem.
Of course, no one can predict the future, not even The One. Indeed, VP Slo Joe Biden opened his mouth to state “the economy was worse than we thought” in an effort to defend the epic fail of the so-called stimulus.
But The One cannot admit being wrong or mistaken … OHNOES
President Obama said the $787 billion economic stimulus plan is “working exactly as we had anticipated” and acknowledged that further steps may be necessary to restore U.S. growth.
And when he starts to repeat himself on Monday, TOTUS can’t take it anymore.

I know what Jeff Sessions is doing with Sotomayor is important, but we are not going to be able to block her appointemnt. Healthcare is different, this is a battle the GOP should be able to win and if not, go down like the Alamo in fighting it. We are so screwed if this gets through and it will be almost impossible to roll back if they get their camel noses under the tent.

It is only a lie if a Republican says it. From Obama this is nuance or simply adjusting to new facts that presented to him. Oh yeah it is all Bush’s fault too. Also I want everyone here to know for future reference that socializing healthcare will only cost a trillion dollars in 10 years unless Bush f@cked up the economy more than Obama thought.

Rick, even the administration says it will cost 2.5 trillion. That one trillion is the first year cost multiplied by ten.
That is the math that brought us to the “I can afford the no money down negatively amortized one million dollar house in San Diego on my Burger King part time job if I ignore the balloon payment” mortgage meltdown. That is the math of stimulus.

Today in the first version of the healthcare bill that came out of the Senate today that you will be forced to buy health insurance or face a punative tax. Yes it is true gentlemen the left wing in this country is that much closer to passing a tax on LIVING. They already got the breathing part down with carbon but now even if you can hold your breathe a really really long time you are still fucked. Congrats on the change.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m a huge baseball fan and I’ve loved the All-Star game since I was a kid. But when they put Obama in that booth and the announcers started felating him on live TV, I had to change the channel. I came back an inning later and the @#!@$ing National League had scored 3 runs.

Profligate spending targeted at political interests is depressing the demand for bonds and making investors seek safer positions, hindering the market. There is real reason to fear the new printing of money will cause massive inflation. The government picks winners and losers in the market, and has intimated that it plans to pass business unfriendly legislation, causing business to hunker down and not invest in growth, which in turn contributes to unemployment. Unemployment causes less money to be in circulation, in turn harming business. Cause and effect, a vicious death spiral.
Yes, the stimulus is working as designed. If they don’t have a crisis, it’s harder to ram their agenda through. People are less critical in a crisis.
