An Ethical Man. [JHoward]

Leading with a myth and closing with a foregone conclusion.  The halo is a nice touch, if not exactly original.

Those who believe should cease and desist with the breathing immediately. Otherwise, they are not true believers.

  2. Comment by B Moe on 7/7 @ 7:17 am #

Did they change the definition of ethical while I wasn’t looking?

  3. Comment by Pablo on 7/7 @ 7:22 am #

Ethical is when you repeat the narrative.

  4. Comment by sdferr on 7/7 @ 7:23 am #

These AGW mooks can look on the revolt in Tehran and learn nothing.

  5. Comment by geoffb on 7/7 @ 7:26 am #

    “We are told that”

Start with an outright but cozy falsehood. They (BBC World News) are doing the telling, they are not part of “we”. Then proceed downhill.

Progressive-socialism is the planetary disease. Greenies and AGW aka climate change are symptoms.

It’s laughably circular, isn’t it, geoffb. But it works.

  7. Comment by Joe on 7/7 @ 7:43 am #

Alan Carlin deserves the “ethical man” title, if not the halo. He is the author of the report questioning global warming that was surpressed by the EPA and the Obama White House.

Oh yeah, Michael Jackson is still dead. Sarah Palin is not dead.

  9. Comment by serr8d on 7/7 @ 7:45 am #

Obama should sue, for the stealing of his halo.

(Did anyone ever label O! as being an ‘Ethical Man’…?)

  10. Comment by serr8d on 7/7 @ 7:46 am #

    Sarah? Sarah who?

  11. Comment by Barbula on 7/7 @ 7:49 am #

I guess being a riding lawnmower man is not ethical, let alone halo-worthy?

  12. Comment by JHo on 7/7 @ 7:53 am #

Probably “ethical” involves endless debt and servitude, especially if masters of universes are involved and clearly masters of universes are involved. Like penances, it has to hurt to feel good.*

*that’s as far as I dare go with that…

  13. Comment by geoffb on 7/7 @ 7:53 am #

Circular, yes. As with any system built on a lie as it’s base axiom, it must spin faster ever faster. Two lies needed to cover the original big lie. Then four to cover those two, eight, sixteen, thirty two.

Exponential growth, a chain reaction of false. Which will happen first, A worldwide socialist water empire or the collapse of the systematic system of lies that is it’s install program?

  14. Comment by JHo on 7/7 @ 7:56 am #

Exponential growth, a chain reaction of false.

Probably this is involved, geoffb. And this.

Now you are getting it. You have to have a push rotary mower to even be considered a worthy human being. Better yet, let your lawn go to meadow.

I use aerosol deoderant. I might not be an ethical man but I do smell good.

  17. Comment by Bob Reed on 7/7 @ 8:04 am #

    geoffb,
My moneys goin’ on the systematic system of lies; although I know one should never bet with their heart…

My impression is that average folk are starting to realize that AGW is a grand charade, built on the Sorelian notion of the “necessary” lie, and reinforced through the patented Democrat belief taht if you repeat a lie enough times, well then, it becomes da troooooooof!

You know, like, “The war is lost!”…

Of course, as we speak, Biden of Arabia, that pinhead of Persia, amy be finding a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory…

Oh, and I love this BBC schmuck’s halo; did they learn from O!s campaign or what…

  18. Comment by Joe on 7/7 @ 8:19 am #

Mr. Pink, your deodorant masks the stink of your corruption.

  19. Comment by Joe on 7/7 @ 8:37 am #

I burn yard waste and leaves still. I love the smell of untaxed carbon going into the atmosphere.

  20. Comment by Joe on 7/7 @ 8:38 am #

When I burn leaves I feel like an…Outlaw!

  21. Comment by alppuccino on 7/7 @ 8:41 am #

    “Obama is brilliant”

Another systematic lie perpetuated by those insecure about their own intellectual fraud.

Obama is an idiot. I stand by that Pablo. His latest interview, “I think Putin would be the first to admit (fill in anything here. It doesn’t matter. Obama is so arrogant he comfortably speaks for a KGB guy.)

Another gem from the interview: “Medvedev is my counterpart. He’s the president of Russia.”

Great genius. So who is Putin’s American counterpart? Soros? Axelrod? Michelle?

    Moron.

  22. Comment by geoffb on 7/7 @ 8:42 am #

If I burn anything or let my lawn get high I am an outlaw and will be fined and/or jailed.

  23. Comment by Joe on 7/7 @ 9:35 am #

    Al Gore violates Godwin’s law.

  24. Comment by lee on 7/7 @ 9:35 am #

    JHO, I didn’t understand your second link in #14. What’s M3b and M3?

When I burn leaves I feel like an…Outlaw!

I was burning leaves last year, and a guy from the Cal air resources board stopped by. Told me my name was now going into the system, and if caught again, it would be a couple thousand dollar fine.

What I did, got a dump truck and tractor from my employer, loaded the pile up, hauled it to a friends property, got on a backhoe and dug a big ass hole, and buried the stuff.

Burning diesel fuel is ok you see.

    OUTLAW!

  25. Comment by Joe on 7/7 @ 9:35 am #

    Okay, let the chilling begin!

  26. Comment by lee on 7/7 @ 9:40 am #

Course now ya gotta be careful, else the idle police will get ya…

  27. Comment by B Moe on 7/7 @ 9:43 am #

Mr Gore admitted that it was difficult to persuade the public that the threat from climate change was as urgent as the threat from Nazi Germany.

    Unbelievable.

  28. Comment by lee on 7/7 @ 9:49 am #

    Hardly unbelievable B Moe.

Why, every person in the world should be feeling the dread those Londoners cowering underground during the blitz felt.

    It’s exactly the same…

    JHO, I didn’t understand your second link in #14. What’s M3b and M3?

The exponential trend in the money supply, which bespeaks exponential tendencies throughout money these days.

Debts in the present monetary system cannot be paid back; it’s impossible. Creating booms juices up the cash flow and bursting them fills bank coffers. Repeat as long as you can. C&T is just the next boom cycle.

  30. Comment by JHoward on 7/7 @ 10:07 am #

Burning diesel fuel is ok you see.

The amount of fuel wasted achieving our overlord’s bidding via their “environmental” dictates (such as hauling dirty snow from one place to another or terraforming what would grow or regrow itself anyway in a few years) is probably incalculable.

Or uncalculated, whatever. We should realize we’re serfs to make-work now. All systems are trending artificial now, except the one that drives solar energy into the system. Somebody do something; quick.

  31. Comment by JD on 7/7 @ 11:32 am #

I am going to end all sentences today with the phrases “because of global warming” or “because I care about Mother Gaia”.

  32. Comment by JD on 7/7 @ 11:33 am #

Yes, I would like 2 dozen oysters on the half-shell, because I care about Mother Gaia.

  33. Comment by Joe on 7/7 @ 2:50 pm #

Well, I actually do care about mother gaia, or rather fecal bacteria counts, when eating oysters on the half shell. I love oysters and can schuck and eat them for breakfast, but I generally avoid them from Chinese all you can eat buffets and other establishments where I can’t verify where they are from.

  34. Comment by Joe on 7/7 @ 2:51 pm #

But I do burn leaves and branches, because I care about Mother Gaia!

  35. Comment by JD on 7/7 @ 7:09 pm #

And I shot 76 this afternoon, because of global warming.

  36. Comment by Pablo on 7/7 @ 7:16 pm #

I broke 70 last time I went out.

That’s a lot of clubs, huh?

  37. Comment by Pablo on 7/7 @ 7:16 pm #

    Gulf oysters suck, btw.

  38. Comment by B Moe on 7/7 @ 7:19 pm #

    I shot a 59.

On the back nine. Didn’t start out quite so hot.

  39. Comment by The Monster on 7/7 @ 7:28 pm #

    Al Gore violates Godwin’s law.

    Actually, he obeyed it:

As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1.

Just expand “Usenet” to the entire Internet.

What’s troubling is that Global Warming is Hitler, George W. Bush is Hitler, Rudi Giuliani is Hitler, Sarah Palin is Hitler…. but Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not.

  40. Comment by The Monster on 7/7 @ 9:14 pm #

This just in… Times of London has purged the Hitler references from the article in question.
