Elected gangbanger struts her creds [Darleen Click]

With the Chicago thug in the White House, is it any wonder his homies are feelin’ free to speak out?

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) at 0:07 :

And next to me was a guy from the insurance company who then argued against the public health insurance option saying it wouldn’t let private private insurance compete; that a public option would put the private insurance industry out of business and lead to single-payer.

My single-payer friends — He. Was. Right. The man was right.

I, uh, I … here’s what I told him. I said, excuse me sir, the goal of healthcare reform is not to protect the private health insurance industry.

at 1:09

I know many of you here today are single payer advocates and so am I … and those of us who are pushing for a public health insurance don’t disagree with this goal. This is not a principled fight. This is a fight about strategy for getting there and I believe we will.

Nationalized healthcare, nationalized banking and auto industries … Oh what an enchanting future Obama has in store for us!

    OT, so do forgive.
Glenn at Instapundit has a really….appalling video up of Michael Musto of the Voice and Olbermann absolutely ripping apart that girl from California, Prejean, over gay marriage.

this is literally the most disgusting thing I have seene in these sort of formats.

these men are begining to surrender their humanity. What kind of grown man sits there in prime time and makes fun of a woman’s tits instead of dealing with her diagreeable policy position. The answer is: keith Olbermann and a central casting gay fluffer.

I hate these guys. They simply dont belong in civil life.

  5. Comment by geoffb on 5/1 @ 9:51 pm #

    OT also, a question.

I recently came across a book in my wife’s collection which I am wondering if anyone has read. It is, “The Nazi Seizure of Power” by William Allen.

Either they are believing they can never be displaced from power, and so are finally free to be themselves, or they are so used to the press covering up all gaffs that they are still playing as if the digital electronics revolution never occurred. I pray for the second and fear for the first.

“This is not a principled fight.”

That’s really the telling quote right there.

However, thanks to Obama’s budgets for the next few years, they have no way to pay for this unless every business in America is liquidated and sold to China, or they incur massive inflation. The money simply is not there, although objective reality never stopped a left-wing true believer.

  15. Comment by SBP on 5/1 @ 11:22 pm #

    TNSP: inflation is coming, Weimar-style.

    You can bank on it.

  16. Comment by bh on 5/1 @ 11:36 pm #

SBP, while you’re undoubtedly correct, the projections I’m seeing still seem low enough to predict a terrible economy for another few quarters. Then, if we’re lucky, we’ll move onto terrible inflation.

    Was there a Weimar-style stagflation?

This is when we’re reminded that “May you live in interesting times” was a curse.

I don’t get it. Of the gaggle of quackers that’s supposedly uber-uber hubba-hubba pro-business find me one quacker here who knows effen shit about business.

Still waiting for Jeff to explain the tangential nature of a bankruptcy to postmodernism and/or post-structuralism. Negotiated debt and equity restructuring transcends modern time, meaning restructuring debt pre-dates literary postmodernism and modernism. Asset-backed, Sr. sub and Jr. sub, maybe the classifying of debt into segregated classes smacks of Marxist debt class warfare. I’d just love to hear the zaniness in the construct of that rhetoric.

Duh-dar’s machinations are founded on paranoia based in ignorance. We’ve seen it again and again from the old gal. Or maybe she’s easily hypnotized by corporate logos. Starbucks, must pay $5, must pay $5, must pay $5 for coffee, free office coffee is too expensive, must pay $5. Who can really say.

bh, what set off the German hyperinflation was a foreign country (Britain, in that case) demanding that Germany pay off its debt (war reparations, in that case) in hard assets.

Any resemblance to the situation currently obtaining between the United States and a certain large Asian country is purely coincidental.

Say, SLCF, in your cliche concerning “banking” on it, are you referring to certain of American banks? Because your cliche sort’a dissolves in the particularities of which and what type of bank you’re referencing.

The only thing Walthor Mitty really knows about business is how to spend his parents’ money, but he demands to control the thread (much like the Left tries to control the framing of all conversations) and never contributes to the topic …

The collectivist bitch above along with her Chicago Thug (who never so much as ran a lemonade stand) are working furiously to stamp out private enterprise, private property and liberty as defined by American values.

It should be noted that over the past 8 years absolutely no Republican official of any stature called Democrats “unpatriotic” or “unAmerican”…but we have seen those exact words fall from the shriveled lips of Pelosi, et al.
