Hey, what are tax dollars for … ? [Darleen Click] UPDATED … Updated again because …

Click for larger image… If not for the use of government to work against the taxpayer?

According to an employment advertisement posted on the popular website www.craigslist.org, the taxpayer-funded National Association of Counties (NACO) is currently seeking an applicant among whose duties will be to “combating anti-government/anti-tax efforts.” *h/t

In other pork news, Obama doesn’t need the distraction of SanFranGran Nan’s embarrassing attempt at trying to justify larding the “stimulus” package with contraception funding, so out with that particular ham hock.

WASHINGTON — Democratic leaders in the House are nearly certain to drop federal funding for new contraceptive services and on-going programs to stop sexually transmitted diseases from the $825 billion economic stimulus bill due to hit the floor Tuesday, a senior official told FOX News.

Not that it is getting dropped due to any good will on the Dems part. Even though Obama doesn’t need the Republicans to pass the pork bill, he does need them for cover when his policies fail to live up to his promises.

Republicans, libertarians and all free-market advocates should keep that in mind.

UPDATE: Whaaaaa!

UPDATE II: To a Vagina Warrior, anything that stands between her and FREE!!!! contraceptives is a conspiracy!! eleventy!!1!!1!

…conservative idiots who are using the “OMG people are FUCKING” card to stop this economic stimulus package. [...]

preventing unintended pregnancy is a legitimate government service

No, Mandy, it is not a legitimate government service. Taxpayers have no more obligation to pay for your pills then they do for your toothpaste just because CAVITIES COST MONEY!!!

…and, Mandy, you might like to seek help over the fact that everytime someone disagrees with what you twat tells you, you think it’s because they don’t like fucking. Must be something missing from your life, eh?

I think you guys are missing the boat on this contraceptive deal. More contraceptives means more people fucking, which means more happy people, and happy people are more productive workers. How can you think sex isn’t stimulating?

    Yep…

A government arm that combats anti-government and anti-tax efforts ideologically sounds like it’s right in MaObama’s wheelhouse…

Gird your loins for a bitter fight; all of us who believe in low taxation and minimal, non-interventionist, governments are getting ready to have our opinions outlawed…

But then, by even being here we’re all a little bit Outlaw! anyway, right?

And I for one am proud of our new Chimperor for compelling Granny Rictus McBotox to remove the family planning pork from the stimulus bill; it’s mighty white of him, as some throw-back EEEEEEVIL RAAAAAAACISTS! might say…

Besides, he only needs bi=partisan cover for the stimulus bill, in case it flops…

It’s not the same for the planned parenthood bailout payoff money to launder for the next election subsidy appropriation…

They could give a damn whether any RethugliKKKans sign on that plum; that gift for all past and future campaign and electoral support…

This administration…So-so-so Ethical!, so Transparent!, so Honest!, so Bi-Partisan!, so Unifying

Sticky B: Obama got 52% of the vote. 52%. And that’s with massive fraud, widespread dissatisfaction with Bush, and having Obama’s record (or non-record) papered over by the media.

    He’s on the record now.

Don’t let them bluff you. Never forget that his “overwhelming mandate” is completely illusory. It can vanish faster than warm weather when Al Gore comes to town.

I see that His Oneness’s approval rating has dropped 8% in the past week. Bets on what it’ll be by the 2010 House elections?

Spend any time in your statehouse or involved in a national resistance movement fighting State Orwellianism and you’ll see the enormous power of the federal lobby as well as DC harassing locals to conform to said Orwellianism or be defunded.

Read: Government lobbies itself. Judges write laws. Legislatures are populated with members of the Bar. State employees fight the public and get paid for it. Budgets and policies are built on the basis of what government itself just says it wants.

To say we’ve lost control of this thing would be an understatement. Maybe it’s time we understood the inherent malignancy of government.

    Again.

B Moe, if you can’t get traction carping about all that runaway inter-government positive feedback and the voter/subject apathy that spawns it, you can’t go around calling schools mandatory childhood indoctrination centers.

You can’t call the social services cabal in this country Soviet. You can’t call the quasi-religious federal assault on family — from sec-progg PC policy to official misogyny to the strong-arm “family” law system and everything in between — anything but kindly federal compassion.

DC has mouths to feed and minds to fill. Please don’t make those minds think.

Unless a really large check shows up soon, I think even his most fervent supporters are going to figure out there is no pony in that pile. So far, I know we bought Citi an evil corporate jet. We also strongarmed the auto companies into dumping some.

As a taxpayer, I figure my share of the bailout debt is probably north of $20,000. Which bought a jet. Which I will never ride in. For a bank that laid off thousands.

“Former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain’s reported $1.2 million office makeover–said to have been done in early 2008, after Thain was hired to help save the ailing brokerage, and months before an agreement to sell Merrill to Bank of America–has really bugged taxpayers, since billions in TARP funds have been handed out to BofA to help the bank absorb Merrill and its bigger-than-expected losses.

But conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh had his own take on Thain’s redecorating. He responded to comments reportedly made by President Obama–telling Republicans on the hill that they “can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done”–in a statement to National Review’s Byron York, where Limbaugh focused on his issues with the massive stimulus package.

    Some of his comments:

Obama was angry that Merrill Lynch used $1.2 million of TARP money to remodel an executive suite. Excuse me, but didn’t Merrill have to hire a decorator and contractor? Didn’t they have to buy the new furnishings? What’s the difference in that and Merrill loaning that money to a decorator, contractor and goods supplier to remodel Warren Buffet’s office? Either way, stimulus in the private sector occurs.”

See? Private sector economic stimulation is AOK as long as the free marketers hire Joe the Plumber to do the work.

Your Bush TARP dollars have no transparency (all $350 Billion0, so there’s no telling how much conservative welfare is propping up the poor working man……..

The poorer we are the more their dirty socialism will resonate is their theory I guess. I think that’s a really crappy theory. Nancy had a whole litter of Pelosis though. preventing unintended pregnancy is a legitimate government service

    WTF?

Listen, if you’re going to demand that I pay so you can screw whenever you want, I’m going to start demanding a piece of the action. If, on the other hand, you’re going to insist that you and only you are entitled to decide who does what to your body, then I’m going to demand the same favor from you — and that includes you no longer demanding that I spend my life working to pay for the choices you make.

The time I have in this life is as precious to me as your time is to you. If you cannot respect my liberty to spend it as I please, then I see no reason to respect your liberty.

You know, I really can’t remember who it was who told me that and all, but you know, let’s just move on.

Anyways, if you’ve ever taken your US History 101, you’ll remember JFK’s famous “Ask not what your country can do for you….because you work for us now BITCHES!!!1!!!111!!!” speech.

Well it was something like that. I’m sorta paraphrasing.

Anyways, no need to worry. Baracky is a nice man and I know you’re all like “He’s redistributing the wealth!” and “He’s got big, funny ears!” but he’s a nice man and that’s that so just BACK OFF.

By telling Republicans that he understands their concerns, but; “I WON!, So I think on that one I trump you!”

Or, by calling out a national radio entertainer? To wit: “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done…”

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/01/potus-v-limbaug.html

Bush never once called out any national media personality, regardless of how bad he was being savaged; not even by Keefy, Chris Tingle,MSNBC, or the NY times smear machine. Presidents, especially those acting as the adults, just don’t do that. Why would Obama do that?

And adults live up to their words and declarations. If you preach unity, bi-partisinship, and reaching across the aisle, you certainly don;t essentially flipoff the loyal opposition; at least anyone acting as the adult wouldn’t…

Obama’s not coming off as the adult here, nor as a messiah. He’s coming off as a self absorbed, narcissistic, gloating, poseur; about as opposite to Bush as he could get…

Someone who’s actually reading his crap: has Nipply mentioned Barky’s “record-settting” approval rating recently?

I’m guessing not, since it’s dropped 8% since the inauguration.

Does this mean that the only legitimate government services are those that taxpayers are obligated to pay for?

Personally, I think it should be limited to things authorized by Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, but I hold to quaint ideas like that.

Holy shit! That’s better than 1% a day! By summer he’ll have an approval rating lower than Congress!

They’re your guys, Myndi. Anything that happens is your fault.

    Own it.

Shorter Baracky: It was my understanding there would be no responsibilities.

    Racist!!! Consider yourself condemned.

Only slightly tangential, Baracky is apparently beyond parody. No, I mean literally. Joy Behar of the View says you can’t make fun of him and his goofy ears. Oh no, I just did – double plus ungood!

So, does Barack have a sign on his desk going “Buck, what buck?”

The cognitive dissonance in Amynda’s brain must be interesting right about now.

I don’t think there is enough cognitive there to be dissonant.

Mandy has just enough brainstem to jerk her knee again… this time she is declaring Republican opposition to the pork in the bill that is earmarked for ACORN is teh racist.

Oh, yeah. It’s racist to oppose sending taxpayer money to a partisan group that to all indications operates on the very edge of the law. When Republicans take Congress back, can they send some earmarks to Young American’s Foundation? Maybe the Federalist Society?

Republicans should add an amendment requiring all organizations which receive federal funds to pay 10% over the minimum wage, and to have no more than 30% of their labor come from volunteers. Hey, it’s a stimulus bill, right?

I bet ACORN would throw a hairy fit over that one.

Someone needs to point out to Myndy, faced with the choice, Barky would rather hire fake voters than pay for her birth control pills.

37,000,000 are relaxing after having sex.
