Funny, Sarah Palin was picked at VP nominee in late August of this year and within a few weeks all manner of pictures of her college days, including the beauty pageant she was in, were discovered and published; yet, after two years of campaigning and almost seven weeks after the election some pics of Obama’s undergrad years have suddenly surfaced. Amazing, eh?
No, no this is not a scandal. This is just an observation of the silliness that surrounds the Cult of Obama that even mere cringe-worthy pics of Barry the Young should be cloaked.

It’s thought provoking to wonder just how much the media already knows and is sitting on. And, what will motivate them to release that background. Now if you had a mother that made your clothes, and polyester was the wonder material and she got a good deal on yellow with brown happy faces on it, and brown with yellow happy faces on it and now pictures exist of one wearing bright yellow pants with brown happy faces on it and a brown shirt with yellow happy faces on it…….and don’t get me started about the bright yellow overalls. I guess the Obama pics could be worse–nowadays, any photographic evidence of the “cocaine toilet” incident would have been on Facebook within five minutes of the it occurring. Doesn’t work nowadays with all the cell phone cameras, but I found that to avoid having your picture taken, be the one with the camera, and a darkroom. Very few pictures of me from my teen years, thankfully.

I believe my mother still has a picture of me dressed in a fashion much like the one of our host at the bottom of the left sidebar. Giant collar that posed a risk of becoming airborne in a stiff breeze, shirt open halfway to the navel, neck chain… it’s all there.
Added horrors: a Mac Davis/late period Mike Brady-style home permanent and a John Holmes-style porn ’stash, except mine was peachfuzz at that age.
Note to self: find that picture and burn it the next time I visit.

What kind of “photographer” doesn’t know what they shot? Who sits on a roll of exposed undeveloped film for years then develops it just in time to stick it away so as not to influence the election? The mind boggles.
This sounds just like that Florida couple that happened to overhear the Republican Congressional leadership on a cellphone conference call and had recording equipment in their car to tape the “accidentally” heard phone call and then send it to Rep. McDermot from Washington. Democrats are just so “lucky” like that.

I believe I marched in that La Habra Christmas parade. In 1972 I carried and twirled a flag for the Lowell High School Marching Band. I’m afraid to go look through my pictures and see what I find!
