Now an Obama White House Adviser, is the woman who helped put “The Rez” in Rezko:
According to the documents obtained by Judicial Watch from the Illinois Secretary of State, Valerie Jarrett served as a board member for several organizations that provided funding and support for Chicago housing projects operated by real estate developers and Obama financial backers Rezko and Allison Davis. (Davis is also Obama’s former boss.) Jarrett was a member of the Board of Directors for the Woodlawn Preservation and Investment Corporation along with several Davis and Rezko associates, as well as the Fund for Community Redevelopment and Revitalization, an organization that worked with Rezko and Davis.
(According to press reports, housing projects operated by Davis and Rezko have been substandard and beset with code violations. The Chicago Sun Times reported that one Rezko-managed housing project was “riddled with problems — including squalid living conditions…lack of heat, squatters and drug dealers.”)
As Chief Executive Officer of the Habitat Company Jarrett also managed a controversial housing project located in Obama’s former state senate district called Grove Parc Plaza. According to the Boston Globe the housing complex was considered “uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage…In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale — a score so bad the buildings now face demolition.” Ms. Jarrett refused to comment to the Globe on the conditions of the complex.
“Like Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett is a product of the corrupt Chicago political machine. And it is no stretch to say that she was a slumlord,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “We have real concerns about Jarrett’s ethics. Washington already has plenty of corruption. We don’t need to import more of it from Chicago.”
Characterized as “the other side of Barack Obama’s brain” by CBS News, Jarrett first met the Obamas seventeen years ago when she offered Michelle Obama a job.

She looks like that chick that was in Dog Day Afternoon and in Law In Order. You know the one that got the shit kicked out of here by David Groh, then asked the detectives if she was looking good. So she’s got that going for her.

Dan, I don’t think you’re approaching our President-Elect with an open mind. You’re supposed to ignore this stuff, because (pick one):
1)It’s racist
2)irrelevant
3) Baracky had no idea (AKA, the bus is coming)
4) we knew about all this, and don’t care – your guy lost – get over it!

“Washington already has plenty of corruption. We don’t need to import more of it from Chicago”
C’mon, we in IL cannot depend on Caterpillar, International and farmers for our only exports…

There are some damned fine universities in the state, too, so knowledge is another export (lots-o-moonbats, but real scholars as well).

Oh, and Maj. (P) John: I saw your post about how thrilled you were going to be to have Blago as commander in chief.
It won’t be for long, I’ll bet.

Judicial Watch?
You’ve sunk to Judicial Watch before the man is even sworn in?
Oh the fun we’re going to have listening to the wailing coming out from those rural mud bunkers designed for blast protection from the Red invasion.

The Clinton’s brought Tammany Hall to the national and international level. Obama just wants to prove that Chicago is not #2 to New York City.

I, for one, welcome our slumlord community organizers lackeys.

Thor, instead of impeaching the source, which was just the handiest one available from my search, why don’t you find information that contradicts the claims?

Because Google is above my pay grade.
You’re doing a fine job, worth every penny we pay you. Stir it up, as Bob Marley would say, err sing.

Wasn’t there a long Boston Globe story about the shabby real-estate development/slumlordy aspects of Obama’s friends and mentors in the Chicago political scene?
Ah, yes, here it is, “Grim Proving Ground for Obama’s Housing Policeh”.

The difference is that the REPUBLICAN slumlords put up their own cash to buy the tenements, then pocket the profits, while the DEMOCRACT slumlords steal the money for the tenements from the taxpayer, then pocket the profits.
See the difference?

Carin @ comment number 2 – You could have ended your list after #1. In any discussion of Teh One, the accusation of racism is inevitable.

You know, at one time I used to believe that accomplishing something in the private or public sector was a key component to moving into politics. You ran a successful business or managed a program that helped people, and then you could point to those accomplishments and say, “See, I did a good job with that. Elect me to the county council/ state capital/Washington and I’ll do more good things.”
Yet by all accounts, just about everything Obama touches turns to shit. He, along with that boil on humanity’s ass, William Ayers, spent years wasting tens of millions on completely useless “education reform” schemes. He did little, if anything, useful as a state legislator. He hasn’t done jack squat as a US Senator and couldn’t even remember what subcommittee he sat on. He’s supposed to be some sort of Constitutional scholar, but darned if there’s any evidence of it outside his campaign literature. It’s no surprise then his closest political allies are also completely incompetent. Anything better would reveal The One to be nothing more than the rhetoric filled gas bag that he is.
I hope to God prosecutor Fitzgerald and the FBI keep the pressure on Rezko and Blago to name names and cop a plea. Obama’s up to his eyeballs in this crap. It would be just desserts to have him served with a subpoena the day after he’s inaugurated.
