   There’s no conflict. A properly armed human, wins.

   It took em long enough. The only prey out there with no fangs or claws or speed.

   Human-lion conflict expert? Gonna be funny when the lion is picking his teeth with her clipboard. ‘The dark ones? Kind of stringy. But the light colored ones? My. They’re tasty!’

   Actually, the deadliest animals there are leopards and hippos. Hippos are very territorial and tend to roam around at night. And leopards have no problems living in close proximity to people.

   Hippos are scary. I saw it on the tv. They like to drown people just out of meanness.

   On the bright side of things, they aren’t over here.

   The DEC would frown on shooting them. There is no season on lions, and it would be illegal to discharge a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, which means the lions would own the city.

   Maybe it’d get the kids off the street at night. Better than a curfew.
