But McCain did

Don’t worry, seman and thor the wonder boy will show up to attempt to twist the space-time continuum to fit Teh Narrativeâ„¢.

Remember Obama wrote a letter to Bernanke a year before he became Fed Chief because of his uber psychic predicting powers.

Unsurprisingly, my Senator, LAMAR! Alexander didn’t sign it either. He was probably out in the congressional parking garage trying to figure out where he parked the car.

It doesn’t matter what he did, as long as his followers believe he did.

I feel rather confident that it was racism that made you post this Darleen. You should be ashamed. Can’t we elevate our argument?

You are right. I denounce myself.
I wonder what color the book by O! will be? The one that I will be required to carry and memorize?

Sanity drowns in a tsunami of panic.
For instance, Jim Cramer recommends his viewers run right out to purchase J.K. Galbraith’s self serving 1954 bestseller “The Great Crash, 1929″, in order that they might better understand the wholly novel events taking place today.
Ha!
Does Cramer mention Amity Shlaes “The Forgotten Man”? Please, let’s not ask the audience to think. They want answers and heads-on-pikes and they want them now. Either demonize or get out of the way!

Does anyone recall Obama’s response to McCain about sponsoring legislation that would have dealt with Fannie? It was a real eyeopener as to what a neophyte and childish man he is.
He said (paraphrasing) “I wasn’t McCain’s legislation by the way, John just signed onto it”
Arm chairing, but I wish McCain would have pointed out to Obama that his comment demonstrated that Obama did NOT sign on given the chance and it’s apparently more important what points Obama can get from legislation rather than doing right by the American people,

I hear of Fed infusions. I hear of bailouts/rescues by congress. The nation of Iceland is bankrupt. Berlusconi of Italy calls for States to “close the markets”.
I hear no objective analysis of regulatory impact. Lots of ass covering regarding who sponsored what regulation that had no effect or that destroyed the economy outright. Media silence where who profited and how much by the lobbyists’ contributions on behalf of public, and GSE’s that were absolutely not effected by regulation.
Oh, and did you know that John McCain was involved in the Keating Five back in the nineteen eighties? I bet you do.
You don’t know that he was the only one of the five exonerated by name by the congressional investigation into the affair.
Where is ANY elected official appealing for market solutions?
And in three weeks we elect a puppet for president.
Looks like I picked the wrong decade to be an American.
And it’s crowded in here to boot.

The nation of Iceland is bankrupt.
And winter’s coming, but still I can’t be bothered. Iceland indulged in a lot on anti-American whatnot especially about Iraq so what they can do I think is all just move to Haiti where it’s warm.

Maybe we could make space here at Chez Espionage, Brigandage, et Piratage for a refugee who looks like Ann-Margret or one of those chicks from Abba.
I’d probably better clear that with Mrs. SBP, though.

I think it’s generally warm in Iceland anyhow though hf. They got all those geysers and the dregs of the Gulfstream/NAtlantic current to help out. Some guy said the other day that Iceland has a population smaller than the size of Pittsburgh. Still, it is odd that they are so desperate that they’re trying to sell themselves to Russia.

Iceland is sorta not big on dignity when the chips are down I don’t think. They’re basically a subset of Europeans.

Major inbreeding problems there, too, to the extent that it was (and maybe still is) tacitly encouraged for women to have sex with foreign visitors.
There’s a reason why U.S. military forces used to call Reykjavik “Break Ya Dick”.

What’s the little apparatchik’s name that wrote the report anyway? It was like Mr. Birkenstocks or something. He should have a name. I bet there’s a lot of Alaskans what will remember him as a craven piece of shit. He’s a true blue Baracky guy to take one for the team like that. I bet his wife wishes he wasn’t so ambitious though.
Comment by happyfeet on 10/12 @ 3:00 pm #
There’s a strong possibility I meant to put that on a different thread.

I’d like to cut out that Jim Bunning autograph and tape it on a baseball. Helluva pitcher, that Jim Bunning.

What sort of President would a Lefty make, ya think? Calvin Coolidge redux? And would the idiot McCarver have to be the Vice-President?
Comment by TmjUtah on 10/12 @ 10:00 pm #
I love you guys.
In a Butch and Sundance kind of way, but it’s love, just the same.
Good luck and let’s all try to enjoy all the new stuff coming down the pike here…
