Yes indeed, Dan Collins’ post on the late George Carlin is stupid as one might expect. But let’s give DC the benefit of the doubt: maybe the second half of the sentence — “because I’m a fucking idiot” — was deleted?

‘feet, you sound like Carlin. Don’t read those geezer tributes; those people think they’re talking about themselves. Carlin was great, mostly. His fans — the ones who aren’t comedians — are all jackholes. Fuck ‘em.

My guess is Instaputz missed the joke the first time around, then somebody explained it to him. Maybe in the comments — which would explain the removal of the post.
Alternately, Instaputz realized that not everyone was going to buy into the faux outrage he was trying to sell them. So he cut his losses.
