“I’ll tase ya, bro.” [Darleen Click]

Boulder, CO

It wasn’t exactly pistols at 30 paces, but police say a security company supervisor and a restaurateur shot each other with Tasers in a “bonehead” confrontation over parking. [...]

A police report said Epstein and Casey M. Dane, a supervisor for Colorado Security Services Inc., were arguing over a metal boot that one of Dane’s guards had clamped on a wheel of a van parked behind Mamacitas. [...]

Dane told police he was afraid Epstein was going to hit him with a 2-foot-long pair of bolt cutters. [...] Epstein told police Dane put his hand on a holstered pistol and threatened to shoot him. [...]

Both men drew Tasers.

“They shot each other,” Police Sgt. Pat Wyton told the Camera newspaper. “It was just kind of a bonehead deal.”

A well-non-lethally-armed society is an impolite one.

At least you can’t send painful shocks through the internet.

I can’t imagine either was shocked by the actions of the other.

Call the pun police. Ticket me for that.

I heard this one on NPR yesterday. Pretty funny.

    Good headline too, Darleen.

    Stupidity should be painful.

Amazing restraint. Can’t we give them props for not using real bullets? Civilization isn’t dead after all!

The electrical shock can only have helped brain functionality.

There really isn’t anything funnay about that sort of boneheadedness and yet … and yet … LMAO!

That sort of boneheadedness is funny beyond words. Kind of like Jackass, without the actors.

This is Boulder’s version of the OK Corral. I’ve been there. I know these things.

My best friend is a police officer, and when the department was issued its first tasers, some of the officers tried them out on each other. I asked him what they learned, and he said “Some of the people I work with are really stupid.”

…my boots couldn’t possibly have participated in that discussion.

    Dumb boots.

Memo to Taser, Inc.: Look into taser parties. Oh, and networked tasers because a feedback loop would be amazing.

In case you ever wondered, pepper spray really really really sucks.

JHoward – That is too funny. All I can picture is a bunch of guys sitting around saying “wonder what would hapen if we ….”. Again, like Jackass, one of the greatest things ever to come from MTV.

I’m picturing two cops simultaneously tagged with the taser dart, and jolting from the electricity, and holding onto their own taser gun, and eventually falling to the ground amid loosening bladders and the fresh smell of oxdizing flesh.

    It is retard-funny.

    Isn’t Boulder a self-proclaimed “Hate Free” zone?

What, like a reverse-Darwin-Award kind of thing?

    It’ll never fly.

I spray it on my tacos.

I always tell my wife to practice holding the pepper spray in her weak hand so that she has her strong hand to help fight away an attacker in case they get too close. Most people automatically grab the pepper spray with their strong hand and try to push away an attacker with the pepper spray in their hand. That does not do any good. So practice holding the pepper spray in your weak hand.
