There is not a single man on that poster that I’d do.

  2. Comment by Largenfirm on 3/13 @ 8:32 am #

Of course, at $1000/hour, it actually only cost him about $150…time and materials, ya know.

  3. Comment by happyfeet on 3/13 @ 8:38 am #

Larry Craig is still teh creepiest, and he didn’t even get any.

Where’s Kwame? What’s a gal gotta do around here to push her local agenda?

Even the dull blade, Patterico is ahead of the PW curve.

He has a delightful scandal going on, and hardly anyone is paying attention. I think it’s because Michigan didn’t vote for Bush.

    I’m with you, girlfriend.

…but why natter on about stupid nonissues like McCain’s citizenship, when there are Catholic priests getting convicted of genocide? WHY CAN’T YOU TALK ABOUT WHAT INTERESTS ME, NARROW-MINDED WINGERS????!!!ELEVENTY!!

  9. Comment by Matt, Esq. on 3/13 @ 8:50 am #

Cleo, allow me to draw your attention to the purpose of THIS particular thread. When its your blog, you can talk about whatever ridiculous consipiracy theories you want to but right now, we’re having some fun at one of your progressive “leaders” expense. Ah, hypocrisy, thy name is liberal.

  10. Comment by Slartibartfast on 3/13 @ 8:52 am #

I think we should all chip in and get leo his own blog, so he can discuss the topics he thinks are REALLY relevant to his little heart’s content.

‘course, blogger is free, so it’s a small investment. Who’s game?

  11. Comment by Semanticleo on 3/13 @ 8:53 am #

“we’re having some fun at one of your progressive “leaders” expense.’

Yeah, I’ve heard serial killers get their start torturing small pets.

  12. Comment by JD on 3/13 @ 8:57 am #

Miss Cleo – Hike up your skirt and get a pair.

Carin covered this in her comment directly preceding yours. Conjunction Junction, what’s your function?

  14. Comment by Education Guy on 3/13 @ 8:59 am #

What a shock, Nancy is back and trying with all her little might to change the subject.

  15. Comment by Carin on 3/13 @ 9:03 am #

I can’t tell you how pleased I am that cLeo wants to expand the conversation here — so, what’s your opinion regarding the corruption of the (democratic) political leadership in Detroit? What do you think of Superdelegate Kwame? Why do you, Cleo, think I’m having such a hard time getting people (except Pablo) to talk about this?

Do you think it is because Kwame, as a black politician – and a supposed rising star in the party – may taint black politics? All this talk about race and politics … well, shit, Kwame’s at the forefront of pulling out that race card.

  16. Comment by Slartibartfast on 3/13 @ 9:08 am #

Yeah, I’ve heard serial killers get their start torturing small pets.

…starring Elliot Spitzer as a small pet.

Which might explain the need for professional help, come to think of it.

  17. Comment by Dan Collins on 3/13 @ 9:10 am #

Not really, Carin. It’s just that I’ve been busy trying to squeeze every bit of juice out of this Spitzmas fiasco, so I haven’t really been able to read up on Kwame.

I did point out a hilarious AoS post on it, though, for you.

  18. Comment by Semanticleo on 3/13 @ 9:12 am #

    “may taint black politics?”

    sCarin:

You’ll have to break that down for me.

  19. Comment by Carin on 3/13 @ 9:15 am #

Yes, I saw that. It was amusing.

  20. Comment by Carin on 3/13 @ 9:22 am #

Break it down for you? Do you think that the rampant corruption in Detroit (all-black) politics would reflect well on a national level? That it doesn’t smear the whole idea of identity politics?

In Detroit, a white person cannot get elected as dog catcher. Because they are WHITE.

  21. Comment by JD on 3/13 @ 9:31 am #

semenkleo is a little slow on the uptake this morning.

  22. Comment by Enoch_Root on 3/13 @ 9:35 am #

    JD – this morning?

  23. Comment by Enoch_Root on 3/13 @ 9:41 am #

Comment #1 MayBee – There is not a single man on that poster that I’d do.

    I’ll second that…

Carin – do you mean to tell me race does factor into how people vote? Who would be the folks who vote based on race? Surely they are wight, right? Oh, wait… erm… this is an uncomfortable line of questioning. Forget I mentioned it.

  24. Comment by Carin on 3/13 @ 9:45 am #

Enoch – careful. By merely asking the questions, I have now had to alert the authorities to your rampant racism.

  25. Comment by datadave on 3/13 @ 9:48 am #

    nice graphics, Eliot.

    carin, all politics are loco

  26. Comment by Carin on 3/13 @ 9:49 am #

Nice (non)answer dataless. I wonder if we could get Caric to weigh in.

  27. Comment by MayBee on 3/13 @ 9:50 am #

She is really pretty, and I’m happy I’ve seen her picture. I’ve decided the $5,000 gives her the kind of class that no MySpace peace-sign photo ever could.

So where does she go from here? I say Playboy spread for $500,000, a book deal, and maybe a recording contract. Although she’s really got to suck at music if she looks like that in a bikini, is willing to sleep around, and still doesn’t have a contract.

  28. Comment by Semanticleo on 3/13 @ 9:54 am #

“Do you think that the rampant corruption in Detroit”

Oh, you’re thinking REGIONALLY. Ipso Fatso, the ‘taint’ of politics
    is a worldwide pandemic.

  29. Comment by Carin on 3/13 @ 10:01 am #

Why am I trying to have a conversation with cLeo?

  30. Comment by Rob Crawford on 3/13 @ 10:01 am #

C’mon, guys, stop talking about the politics of taint!

  31. Comment by MayBee on 3/13 @ 10:04 am #

    Today I’d do Alec Baldwin.

  32. Comment by Mikey NTH on 3/13 @ 10:06 am #

“It’s not a problem because everyone does it.” Nice one, cleo.

  33. Comment by alppuccino on 3/13 @ 10:19 am #

    Today I’d do Alec Baldwin.

    Hey MayBee,

It looked to me like Alec is playing the sensitive man left back because of flat feet for Silda.

At least we know what he would do if he ever caught his daughter doing anything untoward. He would “fly back there on Friday and I’m going to straighten you out, you inconsiderate little pig.” Has he talked to Mamet yet?

  34. Comment by JohnAnnArbor on 3/13 @ 10:25 am #

Carin, to be fair, Detroit’s ALWAYS been corrupt, going back many decades.

It’s been a single-party town, too: only one Republican (an ’80s councilman) elected to city office since before WWII.

  35. Comment by McGehee on 3/13 @ 10:48 am #

The way Pedanticliar keeps trying to change the subject in these Spittoon threads, I have to wonder just what is its connection to the Spittoon?

  36. Comment by Carin on 3/13 @ 10:50 am #

Detroit has certainly been corrupt, and black controlled, for a while. The problem, for me, is that criticizing Detroit is impossible because it is controlled by identity politics. When I compare and contrast the reality of Detroit, with the asinine pronouncements of Rev Wright, my head explodes.

  37. Comment by JohnAnnArbor on 3/13 @ 11:02 am #

True enough: identity politics has deepened the corruption and allowed new forms to appear. I know of a case where they specifically drew the boundary line for some sort of tax-abatement revitalization zone or whatever so that the line went around a particular business, excluding it. Of course the business was white-owned.

  38. Comment by SGT Ted on 3/13 @ 1:13 pm #

Yes, because the non-issue of McCains birthplace should take precedence over the Democrat parties culture of corruption.

  39. Comment by Andrew on 3/13 @ 1:21 pm #

“Yeah, I’ve heard serial killers get their start torturing small pets.”

This may be the dumbest response I’ve ever read. If it’s serious, it’s so manifestly reaching as to be a degree shy of Godwin, and if it’s funny, it’s not funny.

Congratulations, cleo. You are officially KOS-worthy. Take a bow.
